{ The Witness }
“What are you doing in my room?” Reed asked a
scared stiff Tracy___

“I just asked you a question. Why are you in my
room?” Reed asked startling Tracy.
“I came to see you” She quickly thought of a lie.
“They’ve been countless of times that have
always wanted you alone with me in my room
but you always refuse and suddenly, you decide
to come wait up for me in my room, don’t you
find that odd?” Reed asked obviously not
believing her.
“It is the truth Reed, I didn’t see you downstairs
at the party and so I came to look for you” she
said shakily while Reed tried to hide the blush
that appeared on his face.
The reason why he wasn’t at the party is
because he had been f-__-king Lola at the garage.
“Well, am here now. Why are you looking for
me?” He asked quickly.
“I-I just wanted you to know that I have arrive
since you made it clear that I show up and so,
here I am” she said spreading her arms wide.
“That’s good” he muttered, slowly moving
towards her.
“If you listen to me always, things will always be
smooth between us” he added as he gently
caress her cheek.
A nervous look appeared on her face but she
quickly mask it ” Yeah, am heading back
downstairs” Tracy said, walking but a
restraining hand on her arm got her standing
still.
“Am afraid that I can’t let you leave. Have
always wanted you in the confines of my room
and now that you are here, I simply can’t let you
go” he said as he pulled her towards him.
“What are you doing Reed? Let go of me” she
tried pulling away from him but he simply
pulled her closer and claim her lips.
Tracy eyes widen In shock and angrily, she
began to hit him hard which got her freeing
herself from his hold.
She headed for the door only to be lifted by the
waist and thrown roughly on the bed.
“Stop this madness, Reed! ” Tracy yelled at him
but Reed was far from listening.
“I can’t take it anymore, I want you Tracy and
am going to have you, tonight” he growled, his
voice filled with passion.
Though Tracy tried to escape him, he pulled her
underneath him while he began kissing her
throat.
“You have no idea how much have wanted to
lick your body” he Mõ@ɲ out as his gently bit her
ear.
“Let go of me! Help! Someone help me!” Tracy
cried out.
“Quit yelling. Everyone is busy partying and no
one will be able to-Aargh!” Reed yell when he
was pulled roughly off the floor.
“She said you should leave her alone!” Vance
said looking very angry.
“Tch! Girl, it’s best you leave my fiancee and I
alone. I wouldn’t want to be accused of hitting a
girl” Reed’s said looking smug about being the
only guy in the room.
“Why don’t you try to hit me” Vance said and
that got Reed getting off the floor.
“You asked for it, don’t you dare blame me”
Reed said moving towards Vance, his hand
raised high.
Vance held onto his hand, giving him a nod on
the head coupled with a kick on the leg.
Reed was groaning out in pain as Vance led
Tracy out of his room.
They got to the part of the house which had no
one in it and Vance made her seat.
“Let me get you something to drink” Vance said
but she held onto his hand.
“Don’t leave, please” she pleaded looking very
scared.
“Am sorry. If I hadn’t been so engrossed in the
diary, I would have arrive sooner to help” Vance
said as he pulled off his shawl to wrap around
her body.
“Its okay. Though, I wonder where the Diary is?”
Tracy asked.
“I left it on his desk when I walked in earlier” he
replied, relieving her of her worry.
“So, did you find anything concrete?” Tracy
asked earning a wistful look from him.

^^ BACK AT THE POOL ^^
“Jamie” Angela call got him starring down at
her.
They were still in the pool, trying to hide from
Ben.
“What’s going on? Who are we hiding from and
who is trying to steal me away?” Angela asked
while his head quickly thought of an excuse to
give her.
“Did I do well?” He suddenly ask.
“Huh”
” My acting? Did I do it right?”
“You mean everything that happen now is just
an act?” Angela asked and he gave a nod.
“Am sorry, it’s just have audition for a spot in an
upcoming movie. I had no one to show my
acting to which is why I did this. Judging by
your expression, I really nailed it right?”Jamie
asked while Angela let out a scoff.
“You really are something” she said as she push
him away swimming to pool steps where she
got out of the water followed by Jamie.
Luckily, Ben is no where to be found__ Jamie
thought.
“Am all wet” Angela groan as she kept dripping.
“Am sorry, I didn’t mean this when I made you
fall into the water” Jamie quickly apologise.
“It’s okay. Since my jean and top are wet, I can
just stay in my bikini” Angela replied and in one
swoop she pulled off her top.
Jamie eyes quicky went to B-__-bs which was
sheathe in a miniscule bra and when she pulled
off her jean, his eyes roam over her body.
She’s segzy, a full package. Everything a guy
would want in a girl__ he thought as he kept
watching her lustfully.
When she looked at him, he quickly look away
only to see four guys who were standing some
distance away watching Angela and judging by
the look on their face, they obviously like what
they were saw.
Fueled by jealousy, Jamie pulled off his shirt
and gave it to Angela.
“What’s this for?”
“For you to wear. It’s my fault that your clothe is
wet and so it’s only right that you cover up with
mine”
“But I don’t-“
“Just wear it Angela, please” he added before
walking off.
Angela gave a shrug and put on the shirt.
“Not only is he well endowed, he also has a nice
scent” Angela muttered as she kept watching
Jamie walk off.

“Am sorry, I had no choice but to do that”
Maddox kept apologising as he followed Elsa to
the counter.
“Just like you had no choice when you forced
me to come to this party” Elsa said looking
furious.
“What should I do to make it up to you?”
“This isn’t about making it up to me? You said
you like Angela but you are in a fake
relationship with me? What do you think will
happen when she finds out?” Elsa asked.
“She can’t find out, we must never let her find
out” Maddox said, a determined look on his
face.
“Hey Maddox, your girlfriend looks cute” a guy
who was walking by with his girl said.
“How did he find out?” Elsa asked.
“Am sure those two crazy girls told him, they
must have told everyone already” Maddox let
out in anger.
“What are you going to do now?”
“We’ve got to keep up with the pretence but then,
we must tell Angie the truth. She can’t doubt my
feelings, let’s go look for her” Maddox said as
he took hold of her hand.
They spot Angela talking at a distance to some
of their school friends.
“Why is my Angie wearing Jamie’s shirt?”
Maddox muttered looking a little pissed.
“That isn’t the problem” Elsa muttered in return.
“You are right, it’s not the problem. Let’s go tell
her what we have to” Maddox said as they both
went to where Angela stood.
“Angela, we need to talk to you” Elsa called
getting her full attention.
“What’s it about?”
“Well you see, there’s a strange rumour going
around about us and-“
“And we wanted to let you know about it first.
Maddox and I are in a relationship” Elsa said
quickly cutting him off.
“Really? Am so happy for you” Angela enthuse
as she gave Elsa a hug while Maddox Kept
starring at Elsa in shock.
“Dude, better take good care of my sister or I
swear I will make you pay. You two look lovely
together” Angela added before going back to her
friends.
“Why did you do that? I thought we agreed to
tell her the truth”
“I thought the same too but then I realise that if
we tell her the truth, you won’t ever get the
chance to win her heart” Elsa replied smoothly.
“So you think I can get her by pretending to be
your boyfriend?”
“Yes. Angela gets jealous easily, if she sees that
you are no longer interested in her, she will want
your attention and-“
“And would eventually come to me” Maddox
finish.
“So?” Elsa prompt only to get a hug from
Maddox.
“You are a genius Elsa, I never really thought of
things that way. You truly are the best, am lucky
I partnered up with you” he added and gave her
a kiss on the cheek in excitement.
Elsa couldn’t help but to blush due to the cheek.
Maddox has no idea that she plan on using
their fake relationship to get him to fall in love
with her and he will end up falling for her.

“So you are saying that James wasn’t ki||ed in
your apartment. He had already been ki||ed
before he got to your apartment, right?” Tracy
asked and that got him nodding.
“But how did you come to that conclusion?”
Tracy asked and he pulled out his phone to
show her the picture of one of the notes Reed
wrote in his diary.
★ HE HAD CALLED ME THAT NIGHT, HE HAD
ASKED FOR MY HELP SAYING HE WAS BEING
PURSUED. IF I HAD PICKED HIS CALL THEN,
WOULD HE HAVE SURVIVED★
“But this doesn’t say anything” A confused
Tracy said.
“It does. That night, James had called Reed
while being pursued by the ki||ers but he had
ignored him. If he had been ki||ed in my
apartment, he wouldn’t have been given the
chance to use a phone not even to call someone
“
“He was ki||ed outside then they brought back
his body and kept it in my place” Vance said
relieving the horror of meeting James dead
body.
“That’s so cruel, they are all demons. Not only
did they ki|| an innocent soul they also put the
blame on you” Tracy cried out in anger.
“That’s why we have to get proof, Reed’s diary
isn’t enough to prove that he is the ki||er” Vance
stated feeling more frustrated than ever.
“I can help you” someone said startling the both
of them.
“Who’s there?” Vance asked and a lady dressed
in a maids uniform walk out of the shadow
towards them.
“You are one of the maids working in Reed’s
home” Tracy said when she recognized the lady.
“I am and just as have worked here a long time,
have also seen and heard a lot of things” she
said as she kept looking around in fear.
“You must know that Reed is James ki||er right?
” Vance asked softly.
“You are wrong. Master Reed might be anything
but he’s not a ki||er” the lady said.
“But everything points to him” Vance stated
firmly.
“It’s just circumstance. I know who the real
murderer is but I can’t talk here, can we meet up
tomorrow to talk about it?” The lady ask and
immediately, Tracy quickly exchange numbers
with her.
“At least give us a hint” Vance said when she
turned to leave.
“The ki||er is not a male but a female” She said
and quickly left the area leaving Vance and
Tracy to ponder on it.

^^ G&G RESTAURANT ^^
“Why is she late?” Vance let out in frustration
while they were both seated at their table.
“Maybe she’s caught up in traffic, let’s just wait”
Tracy replied.
Unknown to Vance, Tracy has been watching
him discreetly and under the little time she’s
been watching, she learnt things about him.
He made a scowl whenever something didn’t
please him, he tend to lick his lips when he tell a
lie and when he’s frustrated, he gets angry at
everyone and everything he sees.
“Now stop being in a bad mood and take a sip
of your ice tea, it’s quite refreshing” Tracy said
trying to make him feel good but he just roll his
eyes in return.
“You know there are times when you really act
like a girl” she burst out laughing while Vance
watch her beautiful face.
“Let me wipe off your sweat, it must be hard
with that wig on you” she added as she sat on a
chair beside him to wipe the sweat off.
Tracy was so engross in the task and fail to
notice how close she was to him but Vance
noticed and he couldn’t help but to feel his heart
race.
He wanted so badly to pull her into his arms
and kiss that cherry lips of hers again but he
stopped himself.
“I will go and wait outside” he said nervously
and left the restaurant before she could stop
him.
He was trying to regain his composure when he
looked up to the see the lady waving at him
from the other side of the street.
She was waiting for the traffic light to turn red
so she can cross and when it did turn red, she
walk into the road coming towards him but then
a car came out of nowhere and knocked her out
of the way.
Vance was at first stunned by the scene
unfolding in front of him but when regained
himself, he ran to where the accident had taken
place.
The lady layed on the floor unconscious while
blood kept oozing from her head. A lot of people
had gathered by now and some were calling for
an ambulance.
Vance noticed her phone ringing and quickly, he
picked it off the floor and answer.
“See what happen to people who meddle in
things they aren’t meant to” the feminine voice
said.
“Who the hell are you?” Vance yelled down the
line.
“This is a warning to you to give up on your
search or you and the people you hold dear will
be next”
The line went dead___
