“Are you okay? You don’t need me to call the
doc?” Vance asked a pale looking Tracy.
“I am fine and you don’t need to call the doctor,
instead tell me that what you said a while ago is
the truth” Tracy said wanting to confirm if she
heard him right.
“It is” Vance replied.
“B_but why? You kept refusing to help when I
asked”
“That’s because I__I didn’t want to get involve
but have change my mind and don’t ask me
why cause I don’t know if I__” Vance didn’t get
to complete his words because she engulf him
in a tight hug, her filled with unshed tears.
“Thank you, Sarah. Thank you for choosing to
be on my side” she said holding him more
tightly not knowing what her hug did to him.
“What a lovely sight” Reed voice broke the hug.
“Look, I don’t know what is going on between
you two but then__ I would like to talk to my
fiancee, alone” he added the last part for Vance
benefit.
“Tracy is not well enough for a chit chat and so I
suggest you leave” Vance replied glaring at
Reed.
“Like seriously? Who the hell is she? She’s
starting to get on my nerves” Reed said,
directing his words to Tracy who has been
watching the exchange in silence.
“Sarah” Tracy called to get his attention which
she did. ” Can you please let me talk to Reed,
alone” she added and though he was reluctant
to leave, he did as Tracy said feeling annoyed
not by the fact that she wanted to talk to Reed
but by the fact that she’s alone with him.
“Who the hell is she? ” Reed asked as soon as
Vance was out of the room.
“My lover” Tracy replied and though the reply
stunned him into silence for a while, he quickly
masked it up with a smile.
“You must obviously be joking right?” He asked.
“Am not! I mean it when I say that Sarah is my
lover” Tracy replied angering Reed.
“I know what your preference is and you
certainly aren’t the lesbo ty__”
“Really? Then you thought wrong cause am not
who you think I am” Tracy replied cutting him
off, abruptly.
“This isn’t f-__-king funny!” Reed bellowed.
“And does it look like I am joking?”
“You certainly don’t mean it? You are only doing
this to hurt me right?” Reed asked wanting to
touch her, but she moved away quickly.
“You claim you love me and yet you know
nothing about me. I fell in love with James and
when he died, I thought I lost everything until
Sarah showed up. She’s been the one there for
me and one thing led to another and here I am__
hopelessly in love with her” Tracy lied, hoping
that with this, Reed will leave her alone.
“It’s of no concern to me since you will end up
being mine. So quit wh@ťěver thing you have
going with her right now or I swear, I will make
sure you regret it” he thr_@tened, scaring Tracy a
bit but she wouldn’t let him succeed a second
time.
“You hurt Sarah and I will make you pay. You
won’t be able to do the same thing you did
when you found out about me and James, I
won’t let your thr_@ts stop me this time” Tracy
replied hotly and quickly left the infirmary,
making Reed more furious.

^^ TEACHER’S OFFICE ^^
“Pardon?”
“Here is the necessary topics you need to tutor
her on. I wouldn’t have bothered if I knew
someone else but you are the only kid I know in
grade eleven who’s very smart. Am sure that
with you tutoring her, she will make it to the next
class” The male teacher said as he fixed his
glass properly on his face.
“Who am I tutoring?” Jamie asked slowly.
“It’s none other than__ Oh! There she is” He said,
starring at the door way and when Jamie
followed his gaze, his widened in shock at
seeing Angela.
“You called for me, sir” Angela said not sparing
Jamie a glance.
“I already told you about the tutor thing right?
Well, Jamie here have agreed to be your tutor”
The teacher replied and that got her starring at
him.
Jamie was expecting to see a look of
disapproval on her face since it’s the only look
she’s ever given him but he was surprised to see
a smile instead.
“You are Maddox brother, right?” She asked and
he nodded in reply.
“It’s good to know that you know each other.
Why don’t you both get on and talk about it
some more” the teacher said dismissing them
and after giving him a bow they both left the
teacher room.
Jamie silently followed her while wondering
what to say but Angela took charge of things.
“You know, I didn’t like the thought of being
tutored by a fellow student but knowing that it’s
you, I feel a bit relieved”
“Why?” Jamie asked and slowly she walked up
to him, standing very close to him.
A mischievous smile splayed on her lips before
she stood on tip toe to whisper something into
his ear.
“Cause I feel comfortable knowing that you
don’t like me and you would never see me more
than a student you’ve been forced to tutor”
Angela said as she moved away to stare at him
now.
“And besides, you aren’t like others guys who
are attracted to me. You are different and I like
you for that” she added softly and continued her
walk.
Jamie whose heart had been beating wildly due
to the little contact he had with Angela let out a
sigh of relief.
But, her words kept bothering him since he knew
that he’s very much attracted to her.
Is it a good idea tutoring her?

“Common Elsa, won’t you help this love sick
fool?” Maddox asked as he kept following Elsa,
who had some notes piled In her hands.
“I already told you that I can’t” Elsa said for the
umpteenth time.
“Why? It’s not a hard thing to do. You only have
to pretend to be in love with me and then you
mention it to my Angie. Am sure that if she
knows that you are interested in me, she will
definitely want to be with me since she won’t
want to lose her number one suitor” he said,
looking very hopeful.
But what he didn’t know is that, Angela knew
everything about her feelings for him and that if
she do as he says, Angela would only persuade
her to keep up with the act so she could earn
Maddox love but she didn’t want that.
If Maddox will eventually fall for her then it has
to be by her own terms and nothing else.
“Am sorry, Maddox. But I can’t do it and so, it’s
best you leave me alone” Elsa stated and walk
past him, descending the stairs.
“You leave me no choice then” Maddox
suddenly spoke from behind and that made her
stop to stare at him.
“Have you ever had someone stalking you
before? Well, brace yourself cause you will have
me doing that day and night until you agree to
help me” Maddox stated, looking very
determined.
“I mean it Elsa, you will end up agreeing to help
me cause I won’t leave you alone” he added
before walking off leaving Elsa starring after
him.

“Why would she agree to talk to him, alone”
Vance muttered as he made his way to the
school canteen.
The thought of him being alone with her makes
him angry and he couldn’t help but to wonder
why.
He walked past the broadcast room only to stop
short when he heard a familiar name.
“Am very sure that that stupid girl will end up
like James”
That voice said again and Vance stood by the
door way listening to their conversation.
“Why do you say that Lola?”
“Reed h@ťěs being thwarted and that Sarah just
messed with him by meddling with Tracy.
James did the same thing and he ended up
dead” Lola revealed.
“Are you saying Reed ki||ed his brother?” Lola
companion asked.
“Take it easy with the way you speak” Lola
cautioned quickly.
” But did Reed really__”
“I don’t know. All I know is that those who
thwart Reed ends up paying for it” Lola said.
Having heard enough, Vance left quickly the
door way before he ends up getting caught.
Reed turned out to be the ki||er after all, he
already knew that before enrolling here and
now, he only has to get evidence and he’s sure
that Lola knows something.
He was about to follow Lola when he got a call.
“Hello, Peter. Have got something to do right__”
“You need to come here” Peter said, his voice
sounding a bit unedge.
“Why? Is something wrong?”
“I can’t explain on the phone but you need to
come here, right now” Peter said before ending
the call leaving Vance wondering what’s wrong.
His plan of tailing Lola will have to wait__ he
thought as he quickly took the stairs and fail to
notice the unknown person watching him.

Vance could be seen hurrying down the streets
still in his uniform.
Due to the heavy traffic, it had taken time for
him to get to the house he used to share with
Peter before he began working for the Martin.
“Peter, am here. Where are you?” He called as he
walk into the room.
Pulling off his wig, he went to switch on the
lights.
“You said you had something to tell__me” Vance
faltered when he saw someone in the room.
Someone who didn’t turn out to be Peter.
“W__what are you doing here?” Vance stuttered.
“I came to confirm if I was told the truth and it
turns out to be that I was, somehow you’ve
manage to keep your secret hidden but you’ve
been caught, by me” Tracy said, glaring at him.
