“Nurse, how’s she doing?” Tessa asked the Nurse who checked on Natalie. She actually called her personal nurse to her place.
“It’s nothing too serious Tessa. Natty is 2 weeks gone and that’s why she passed out earlier” Nurse May replied.
Tessa looked back at the unconscious Natalie and back at Nurse May.
“Are you sure about you’re saying? N.. Natalie is preggie?” She asked just to be sure she heard clearly and the nurse affirmed.
Tessa blinked back in shock over her face.
“I’ll take my leave now” Nurse May said and walked out.
Tessa stood by, watching her best friend closely until Natalie’s lashes moved and her eyes slowly opened.
“Tessa!” Natalie gasped and sat upright when she saw how Tessa was glaring at her.
“You’re finally awake after the fainting Olympic” Tessa said sarcastically and Natalie swallowed.
“What happened when I pass out? Did any doctor or nurse come here to check up on me?” She asked almost immediately.
“Is there something you’re hiding from me? Why did you pass out? And when do you look so scared that someone might have check up on you?” Tessa fired questions at her.
“It… It’s nothing.. it’s really nothing” She stammered nervously. Tessa said nothing and kept looking deep into her eyes but Natalie kept trying to avoid her gaze.
“Fine, I give up! I’m pregnant. I’m carrying a baby” Natalie broke the tortoise shell and Tessa gritted her teeth.
“Since when did you know this Nat?”
“I got to find out three days ago. I’ve been trying to tell you guys but I couldn’t bring myself to say it. I didn’t want you to h@ťě me more but now…”
“Who said I was hating on you?” Tessa cut her off.
“Huh?”
“I wasn’t hating on anybody Nat. I see as my sister and I’m just trying to save you from the claws of the bad guys” Tessa replied.
“Dexter isn’t a bad guy trust me” Natalie sniffed snd Tessa joined her on the sofa.
“Calm down, I’m happy you love him and I hope he loves you just the same way you’re ready to sacrifice for him” Tessa said and they hugged each other.
“I’m sorry Tessa… I’m so sorry” She cried on Tessa’s shoulders and Tessa rubbed her hair.
“It’s alright Nat. It’s surely for the best”

••FLYNN’S HOLDINGS••
Hayes was in his office, working on his laptop when two policemen walked in. Linda wasn’t with them.
Hayes thought it was Linda and raised his head from his laptop but was surprised to see two aged policemen looking at him.
“Are you Hayes Flynn? Brother of Xavier Flynn?” One of the policemen who was looking like the eldest asked and Hayes gently stood up from his chair.
“Yes” He replied, staring at them confusedly.
“Xavier Flynn requested to see you for his bailing. We’ve got him in our custody for attempted rape on a young lady last night and currently being sued” The elder policeman said again.
“What are you saying? Is this some shitting play or what? Look officers, I respect the law but you don’t just barge into my company and say rubbish about my brother!” Hayes defended.
He knew within himself that his Xavier wasn’t up to no good but he still wanna defend him.
“Are we gonna come all the way here just to tell you rubbish? Young man, he needs you at the cell in our police station” The elder policeman replied, getting fused with anger already.
Hayes nodded once before arranging everything in his office in order before following the officers outside.

Hayes just kept listening to the workers voices till they reached the lady floor and left the company.

“Sue him!”
“He’s a bastard!”
“You’ll never know peace in your life!”
“Bastard!!”
A young lady’s screams and yells can be heard as Hayes came in with the two policemen behind him.
Xavier was sitting on a chair with his head lowered and handcuff on his hands. Hayes saw how the lady was ranting with tears and he felt pity for her.
How could his brother do such a thing?
“Young lady. I’m Hayes Flynn. The brother of Xavier Flynn who sitting over there”
Hayes said and instantly the lady faced him with tears.
“Your brother is a bastard! Despite my pleadings with him last night, he still tried to rape me. If not for some passerbys who saw us, he could have R@P£D me! He needs to go to jail!” The lady cried out.
Hayes looked at Xavier pitifully and went over to meet him. Immediately, Xavier looked up and when his eyes caught with him, he threw his eyes away in shame and guilt.
“You’ve decided to put yourself behind bars right? You’ve decided to bring disgrace to what our father suffered to give us” Hayes said and Xavier started shedding tears.
He didn’t know what came over him last night. He got drunk and wasted at the frat house last night and was walking down the streets when he started imagining a lady he saw as Tessa. He took her and forcefully tried making his way with her.
“It’s the devil’s handwork Hayes. I’m really sorry” Xavier pleaded but the lady threw her purse at him angrily.
“Shut the hell up! That’s how they’ll also rape someone that belongs to you!” She shouted hurtfully.
The policemen calmed her down and focused on Xavier.
“I knew your bad character would leaf you into danger. I gave another chance to change and prove yourself worthy of my trust but you just ended up destroying it completely. I can’t do anything for you even if I have all the money. You deserve what’s happening to you, that’s the law of Karma.” Hayes said and turned his back to leave but Xavier fell on his knees and held Hayes’s trousers.
“Please Hayes, one last chance and I won’t work with that she-devil Emery again” He said pleadingly.
“You’re finally admitting that you’re also Emery’s accomplice” He replied and moved away from him.
“Do wh@ťěver you want with him! He can go to jail for all I care. Maybe that way he’ll learn his lessons” Hayes said aloud and started walking out of the station.
“No!!! Hayes!!!! Don’t please!!!”
“Don’t please!!!!”
Xavier kept shouting as two policemen hijacked him and started pulling him to a cell while the lady wore a satisfactory smile on her face.
“That’s what you deserve”

Hayes released the heave he’s been trying to conceive when he got into his car. He rested his back on the headrest and tears slipped out from his eyes.
“You caused this yourself Xavier” He muttered admist tears.
He quickly cleaned it off and ignited the car to drive but he couldn’t because tears keeps finding their way out his eyes the more he moved down the road.
“f-__-k y’all for causing me pains!!!” He screamed out.

••EMERY’ LUXURIOUS HOME••
Emery was wearing her make-up in the living room when Madelyn stormed inside.
She made to climb the stairs when Emery saw her and stopped her.
“Where are yiu coming from young lady?” She stood up and Madelyn rolled her eyes before going upstairs, totally ignoring her.
Emery stood there for a minute, wondering where she got the guts to start ignore not until she saw her coming out with her luggages.
“And where do you think you’re going?” She frowned when Madelyn reached her.
“I’m leaving here for you! Mom called me to return back to the States” Madelyn snapped at her.
“You’re going nowhere! You’re staying here with me!” Emery yelled, dragging the bags with her.
“Emery! What’s going on with you?! Let me go! I’m not needed here anymore! I’m going back and I’m never coming back here! Even if I’m coming back here, then I’m coming for my friends and not you! You wanna know why? Because you’ve really changed! This is not the sister I truly know! You changed completely after your stupid obsession for Hayes Flynn!” Madelyn yelled back at her as they kept dragging the bags and Emery gave her a loud slap on the face.
Madelyn rubbed the spot instantly and pushed her away, this time Emery fell on her butt as Madelyn took off with her bags.
“You’re a psychopath who needs a psychiatrist!” She yelled and rushed out of the house.
Fortunately, she saw a Uber and stopped it immediately as she hopped in in time before Emery got outside.
With a groan, Emery successfully entered her car, igniting it before trailing after the Uber car.
“To Watchman Airport sir” Madelyn panted heavily, urging the driver to drive faster as Madelyn was already catching up to her.
Hayes was going to Emery’s car and was coming from the other angle when he saw Emery’s car racing with a Uber.
“That’s Madelyn…” He muttered with wide eyes from his car. He saw them drive with full speed and he trailed behind them.
“Where are they going? It’s night already” He muttered again as he trailed them till they got to the bridge.
Like a tornado, Emery’s car did a quick twist and landed in front of the Uber car, blocking his oath from driving.
Madelyn’s eyes widened when realization struck her. The driver rushed out of the car in surrender and confusion.
Emery came down from her car with a gun hidden behind her as she walked towards the car Madelyn was in dangerously.
Hayes got down from his car too but was at a distance. He was watching everything closely.
“Get down from the car Madelyn!!!” Emery shouted and Madelyn with fear and shivering, she came out.
“Why are you doing this? I’m your sister! Allow me live my life!” She screamed in tears and Emery laughed creepily.
Instantly, she brought out her gun and pointed it at her and Madelyn swallowed hard when she beheld it.
“Y… You can’t do this to me Emery. Mom is gonna get disappointed and mad at you. Just come with me and let’s have a free life in London even without Hayes Flynn” Madelyn said fearfully.
“Emery!”
Hayes’s voice came from behind. He actually came forward despite them not noticing.
“She’s your sister for f-__-k sake! Have you finally gone mad?!” He added again and Emery looked at him.
Madelyn was already in deep tears.
“She isn’t my sister the moment she said she’s leaving me! You left me too and even Xavier left me! And now the last person in my life wants to leave to, no darn way! I’m never gonna let her!” Emery shouted, getting distracted by him.
“She’s your sister. She’s never going to leave you no matter what happens. She loves you” Hayes said, distracting Emery.
Madelyn tiptoed stylishly to her and immediately, she started dragging the gun with her.
“Madelyn!!” Hayes screamed in horror at the scene he was watching.
“Bastard!!” Emery cursed as she challenged Madelyn with the gun. They were both fighting for it and Madelyn was bringing it down with all her strength.
Emery sent an uppercut knee to her stomach and instantly a gunshot followed next.
Emery’s and Madelyn’s eyes widened together at once with Hayes.
In slow mo, Madelyn fell to the ground and died on that spot…
