Xavier rushed to him when he was about entering his car and he pulled him.back.

“Why are you trying to stop me?” He snapped angrily.

“It’s one step at a time, do you think you’ll be able to catch her easily? She has the whole cops agency on her side and she has connections, how do you think I came to find out about this?” Xavier snapped back and Hayes processed everything he just said.

I mean, he wasn’t wrong…

Hayes sighed and ruffled his hair frustratingly.

“I will listen to you this time, but only this time” He responded and Xavier smiled slowly and nodded once.

“Now c’mon, let’s go in please” Xavier said and they started walking back inside.

“Be fast, I’m late for an appointment…” Hayes said impatiently.

••NEXT DAY~HAYES’S MANSION••

“C’mon Liam! You both are late for school!” Tessa was done packing their lunches in their various boxes and Nathan rushed downstairs first in a happy mood.

“Good morning Nanny Tessa” He greeted d she felt surprised all of a sudden. “Did he change overnight? Someone who was mad at me throughout..”

Liam came downstairs grumpily, his eyes wearing black eyes, signs that he didn’t get enough sleep. He was playing video games throughout.

“You’re late Liam!” Tessa scolded him.

“I’m sorry” He muttered and got his own lunchbox. Nathan was already waiting outside with the driver, Adams when Tessa and Liam joined them.

“Let’s go Adams” Tessa said and Adams rushed to open the car doors for them before rushing to the other side.

Soon, he ignited the engine and drove out of the mansion.

••ROYAL FAMILY ESTATE••

Dexter was about leaving the house when Cecilia came in with Mrs Lee. She had just brought her from the hospital.

“Mom” He smiled and wanted to hug her, bit she pushed him back with her strength making him stagger.

“Worthless son! I regret ever giving birth to you! I should have aborted you and throw you out of my womb when I found out I was pregnant but I was so stupid!” Mrs Lee shouted and Cecilia tried to hold her but she pushed her away too.

Dexter was still in shock, he wasn’t expecting his mom to act this way towards him or was it because of the engagement?

“Kimora came to me at the hospital in tears, she said you disgraced her in front of your friends and even insulted her!” She added.

“Since when did we get engaged mom?! Are these also among your plans for me?! To ruin my life! How can I get engaged to someone I know nothing about?! Does that look fair to you mom?!”

“Hell yes! It looks fair to me because as times goes on better two of you, you’ll learn to love her just like how she loves you”

Cecily just kept watching in amazement.

“Don’t you get it! Kimora doesn’t love me mom! She’s just after your money, our money!” He yelled.

“Really? Money? How can you say they are after our money when they are also rich like us? A classic family!” Mrs Lee yelled back and he was taken aback.

“Choose now Dexter, marry her or leave this house today” Mrs Lee said without looking at him and Dexter’s eyes widened as he looked at her.

“Na I think you should…”

“Stay out of this Cecilia!”

Dexter blinked his tears as he nodded thrice and dipped his two hands inside his pocket. No doubt that he was still in shock.

“Did his mom just say this to him?”

“Fine” He muttered and started walking out of the house.

“Your MasterCards, your debit card and credit card, bring them to me now” Mrs Lee interjected and he halted on his tracks.

He brought all of them out from his pants and dropped them on the glass table, his eyes still staring at Mrs Lee.

“You’ll come back and beg Dexter, I’ll see how you’ll get to earn income or get money from me” She smirked.

“I guess you’ve forgotten that I’m also a musician in the music industry, and by the way, you better tell your stupid Kimora that there can’t be any love or emotions between us even in 100 years coming” He grinned sillily and finally left.

Mrs Lee swallowed nothing with pride running in her veins. She wasn’t even feeling any remorseful.

“You’re gonna marry her whether you like it or not Dexter” She muttered and dialled an unknown line which picked st the first round.

“Get me information about Natalie Portman” She smirked creepily.

“Hmm, why does it look like you’re in a good mood today sis?” Kingsley asked when he came to the kitchen.

Tessa was cooking and humming a melodious son. She came here after dropping the boys at school.

“Nothing, I’m just happy” She shrugged.

“Or you’re in love..”

“Is that how love is?” She asked and he chuckled, tasting the chicken peppersoup she was making.

“Got ya! You’re in love with Sir Hayes Flynn right?” He asked and she blushed.

“Stop asking and go get yours too dummy” She rolled her eyes with a smile.

“Who says I don’t have one?” He said.

“Wow, you’ve finally grow up! Who’s the lucky girl?” She asked.

“Natalie” He blurted out.

“Which Natalie? Your course mate or secret lover?” She asked, switching off the gas.

“Y.. your best friend, it’s Natalie” He broke out and immediately, the spoon on her hands fell from her.

“Coming, wait a sec!” Xavier shouted when he rushed to the living room to see whoever was at the door. The person has been banging on it for a minute now.

“hold on” He muttered and switched the doorknob, bringing Ariel’s face to view.

He gritted, and made to $h|t the door but she was quick to come inside.

“What are you doing here? Get out!” He half yelled and Ariel started shedding crocodile tears.

“I’m sorry Xavier, I’m really sorry for everything and for leaving you suddenly… Yunno I really love you” She sniffed and Xavier stared at her.

“I said get out!”

“I only went to help myself but I couldn’t, please baby… Accept Mr back and I promise to always cherish you.. I’m really sorry Xavier” She cried out and Xavier’s heart melted like a fool.

“Please baby…”

“It’s fine, get up” He said and she grinned and embraced him.

“Thanks Xavier”

“I was busy with something before you came in, suite yourself until I get back” He said and opened the door to leave.

“But… But where are you going?” She asked.

“Somewhere” He replied and left.

Ariel grinned naughtily, biting her fingers as she sat on the couch. She could protest that all was she just said was all a lie.

“You’re such a fool Xavier, a big one! Just watch me drain you away without you knowing” She mumbled and grabbed her phone to dialled Mr Panels’s line.

“Hello sir, I made it easy this time… Come over here let’s have a nice time” She said.

“Good, you’re improving… I might make you one of the top ten models in Canada” Mr Panel replied over the phone and Ariel smirked as she hanged up.

Soon, a knock came on the door and Ariel got up readily. She was already starked naked, even without her P@ŋtîēṣ.

“Come in Mr Panel, we have it to ourselves for a short period” She smiled and he nodded as he walked in.

“Are you this desperate?” He smirked when she knelt down and started pulling his trousers down to get down to business.

“Stop the car Stanley, I need to get some popcorns I’m getting hungry” A woman said from the backseat and Stanley, the driver pulled away at a corner.

The woman wore her dazzling shades and stepped out of the car.

“Wait ma, I can go get it for you. You don’t have to stress yourself” Stanley urged.

“No, it’s fine. I can go by myself” The lady said and crossed the road to the other side, leaving Stanley.

“Hold on Liam! Wait for me!” Nathan shouted, running towards Liam.

“Run faster Nathan! The berries are gonna be airing today and I don’t wanna miss it! Adams isn’t here yet to pick but we just have to trek!” Liam said, still running.

“But run slowly please, I’m already getting tired here!” Nathan yelled.

“Thanks for the payment ma’am” The person who handed a bucket of popcorn thanked the lady who Stanley brought.

“Sure” The lady smiled and began walking away. Liam was reckless when he made to cross the road as an incoming car was coming from the other end.

“Liam, watch out!” Nathan’s eyes widened and that’s when Liam turned to look too.

The mysterious lady who just bought popcorns saw them from a distance and her eyes widened too when she saw the incoming car.

Without waiting nor thinking, She threw the popcorns she bought away and ran to the middle of the road dragging Liam who was already seeing his death wish out of the road.

The car safely moved past them.

“Kid, are you insane? Why would you do that?!” She yelled at him but Liam kept looking at her like he has seen her somewhere before, she quites look familiar.

Nathan rushed to them, panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath.

“What are you both doing here on the streets? Where are you guys coming from?! Don’t you know it’s risky walking alone!”

Liam and Nathan kept blinking at her like they weren’t understanding simple English. She also scolds tell them just how their mom was back when she was still alive.

“Why are you both quiet?! Should I take you guys home?! Your address?” She asked again but the quietness came again.

“M-mom…?!” Liam muttered, crazily.
