“f-__-k it!!!!” Came his angry scream, kicking the nearest flower vessel close to him and it shattered into pieces just like how his heart was broken.
“Baby!” Emery screamed when she came into the house. She saw him still lying on the floor, staring into space.
“Why are you doing this to yourself Hayes?!” She shouted, trying to get him up, but he her pushed away, getting up by himself.
“I don’t need anyone! Don’t touch me! Y’all are the same! Heartbreakers!” He shouted and Emery flinched.
“Why are you saying this? I’m not breaking your heart… We’re getting married”
He ignored and went upstairs, shutting his door loudly.
“What’s wrong with him?”

☆NEXT DAY*
“What happened last night? You were spewing rubbish last night” Emery said when Hayes came out from his inner room, dressed for work.
“I don’t wanna talk about it… Just focus on our engagement party” He replied and she scoffed as she walked to his front.
“I’m here for you Hayes”
“Goodbye” He replied instead, brushing his shoulders past her till he left the room.
He came downstairs, only to meet Nathan and Liam staring at the empty plates in front of the table.
He halted a minute but then they noticed him. Expecting them to call him, they didn’t even spare him another glance.
“Boys” He called when he got to them and Liam was the first to give him a hard glare.
“You both don’t how to greet right?”
“And why should we? Where’s nanny Tessa? Our plates are empty without food!” Nathan shouted.
“What! Were these kids talking back at him?” He thought.
“Emery is just gonna cook for you”
“Really? We want our Nanny dad! You fired her? But why dad! We’re so mad at you right now!” Liam frowned.
Hayes sighed and started walking away, but the next words hit him hard.
“Bring her back to us dad or else you won’t find us here anymore!” Nathan lamented and Hayes turned to them.
“Really?” He frowned and they nodded, stubbornly.
They kept glaring daggers at him till he walked out of the mansion.
“Gosh! These boys are toxic!”

☆TESSA’S PLACE☆
“Why did you leave Tessa? What about the boys? You were being too straight forward with your questions yunno” Natalie said after Tessa explained everything to her.
“And now I’m regretting it but I want him to have a good and gentle mind… He’s too arrogant at least he needs to get a taste of his own medicine” She replied, picking her nails.
“But…”
“Let’s not talk about him! I’m just worried about how Nathan and Liam are doing right now”
Natalie was about speaking again when Dexter came in through the door, and both Tessa and her stood up, looking surprised and shocked at same time.
“What the eff are you doing here?!” Tessa rushed to him, landing a slap on his face, but he didn’t fight back.
“You bastard! Shameless thing! You still got the gut to come back here after what you did to Natalie?! Unbelievable!” She barked furiously, and Natalie tried controlling her.
“Tessa! Tessa! It’s fine!”
“What’s fine? Don’t tell me you’re gonna get fooled by him again! He fúcking abandoned you!” Tessa shouted at her face and tears slipped out of Natalie’s eyes.
“I was never gonna forgive him, trust me Tessa”
“I’m sorry, just hear me out… I’m a man now” Dexter blurted and Tessa faced him again.
“Sorry?” She chuckled.
“You’re sorry? Were you there for her when she lost her parents?! Were you there for her when she came looking for you but then your mom kicked her like she was thrash?! She f-__-king loved you Dexter! I was the only one there for her despite all the things you made go through!” She shouted so angry and Natalie sniffed.
“Tessa, that’s okay please…”
“Okay? It’s not okay Natalie! Can’t you see he’s a mommy’s boy?! Someone who couldn’t even stand up for himself talk more of you!”
“Tessa, I…”
“Hold your words! I don’t wanna hear it!”
“Tessa, he’s here to…”
“So you’re gonna forgive him? So easily? Are you blinded by love or something?”
“It’s not that…” Natalie trailed off.
“You know what, fúck you both!” She glared at the both of them, walking out of the apartment angrily.
“Tessa!”
“Natalie, please I’m sorry, even if you don’t love me anymore at least forgive me so that my mind would be at peace” Dexter cried out.
“Please go away” She sniffed, and started pushing him out of the apartment.
“Nat! I’m sorry!”
He kept shouting till she shut the door at his face, falling on her butts as she held her knees tightly, hugging herself as tears trickled down her cheeks.

☆BACK IN HAYES’S MANSION☆
“You guys should eat up” Emery said for the fifth time but the boys were so ignorant to eat.
“We don’t like the food” Nathan replied. It was nacho balls which she ordered online.
“Why?”
“We want a homemade one and not chemicals!” Liam argued and Emery clenched her fist.
“You both are getting on my nerves! Eat the food!” She yelled at them.
“We don’t want to!”
She clenched her jaws and grabbed the food, trying to feed them forcefully.
“Ahh! We don’t want to!” They chorused, stubbornly.
She slapped Liam soundly on the face making him stumble on the floor and Nathan gasped.
“Liam, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…”
“I h@ťě you!” He shouted, glaring at her with so much hatred in his eyes.
“Liam are you okay?” Nathan rushed to help him get up.
“You can’t cook and we don’t want someone like you! We h@ťě you!” They both shouted at same time and started walking away.
Emery stood there not believing her eyes.
“These kids are something else!” She gritted her teeth.

A BRIDGE*
“Here, handkerchief?” A voice said and Tessa looked up to see Xavier handing her his handkerchief. She actually came here to find solidarity but she couldn’t stop crying whenever she remembers what her best friend went through.
“I’m fine” She replied, and Xavier chuckled, standing beside her as they stared at the clouds.
“It’s a great view out here isn’t it?” He asked and she nodded.
“You need this, here have it” He offered again and Tessa smiled, taking it from him as she wiped off of her tears with it.
“Thank you”
“It’s cool… So if I may ask…”
“Don’t ask” She quickly cut him off and he almost laughed.
“So you don’t wanna share? And why are you here?” Xavier asked.
“I got fired from my job”
“What! Why did Hayes do that?!”
“I caused it tho, I asked him too much of questions which I believe made him angry so he told me to leave” She muttered and Xavier sighed.
“I never expected something like this, it’s my fault for also telling you everything”
“Don’t blame yourself please” She interrupted and he faced her, holding her hands.
“Promise me something” He said, and she raised her brows at him.
“What’s that?”
“Promise me you’ll go back to him and be with him… He needs someone to understand him and I believe you’re in the best place to do that” He replied and Tessa threw her hands away from his.
“No way! Why would I do that!”
“You’re being stubborn too… ” He groaned, dabbing his face.
“He’s your brother Xavier, just the other day I saw you both fighting! He’s harsh and he needs to learn his lessons” She replied and he smiled sadly.
“You just don’t understand Tessa… Hayes went through a lot too, trust me the reason for his coldness also has to do with me and that’s why he h@ťěs me so much” Xavier said and she became more confused.
“What are you saying? How is it your fault? Make me understand something Xavier!”
“Just help me understand him… Fix him Tessa” He replied instead and Tessa sighed softly.
“Xavier, I…”
“Please Tessa” He cuts her off and she sighed again.
“That’s a hard task”

☆FLYNN’S HOLDINGS☆
“Damnit!” Hayes cursed, breaking the third cup of coffee Linda had just brewed for him.
“S-sir!” Linda shivered, fearfully.
“Your coffee tastes bitter Linda! What’s wrong with you today?!” He nagged.
“I think I should be asking you that sir” She mumbled.
“What did you say?”
“Uh… Sir, I mean..”
“Just get the fúck out of my office!” He yelled at her and Linda ran out without looking back.
He groaned, kicking the chair he was sitting on before. He bit his lips hard, running his fingers into his hair as he couldn’t stop reminiscing about last night incident.
“Xavier told her! He f-__-king told her everything!” He shouted, punching the wall close to him. Despite the blood coming out of his knuckles, he didn’t stop punching.
“Fúck!!!!!” He cried out, feeling hurt and betrayed for the second time.

Meanwhile, Tessa rushed in to the company after Xavier told her everything. Though, she came here but he forced her to.
“Where’s Hayes Flynn pls?” She asked when she got to Linda’s table.
“Over there” Linda replied, pointing at a huge door and Tessa nodded, walking towards his office.

“Everyone is the same!!” He shouted as he kept punching the wall hard, not minding his bleeding and hurting knuckles.
Tessa ran in and her mouth went wide as she stared wide open at him.
“S… Sir!” She half yelled, walking to him but then he moved away from her.
“Stop hurting yourself! Your knuckles they are… Blood”
“Why are you here? What are you doing here?” He asked, staring at her. He was sweating profusely with bleeding hands but he didn’t bother.
“Let us get your wound treated first” She answered and he scoffed.
“I’m not hurt, this is a small thing so it’ll go away” He replied, walking back to his chair.
“Seriously sir? Stop being this way to yourself! You’re hurt and you keep saying you aren’t!”
“I said I’m fine!” He yelled.
Tessa nodded thrice, and took in her lower lip turning to leave the office.
“Please come back to the mansion” His voice came again and Tessa halted on her tracks. “Wait, did she just hear him right?”
“I know I shouldn’t have shouted at you that way so please come back for the boys” He blurted out again and Tessa smiled grew wider.
“I knew you’d miss me” She said and he rolled his eyes.
“Miss you? Why would I miss someone like you?” He grinned and she smiled more.
“Let’s wait and see who say I miss you first next time” She grinned back at her.
“Trust me Tess, I don’t do ladies stuffs. I’m bringing you back because of the boys, just remember what I said, I will break you” He smirked.
“You just called me Tess, wow!” She said and he rolled his eyes again at her.
“Remember too sir, I’m back to fix you…” She muttered, boldly and a grin appeared on Hayes’s face.
“And only one of our two hearts would survive that” He replied.
“Cool, let the cruel game begin and let’s see who falls first” She replied, and finally walked out of his presence.
Hayes laughed out for the first time after long years. He couldn’t stop laughing as he kept remembering her expression earlier.
“You’re gonna fall first Tess and I’ll make you fall harder” He snickered, and started smiling all through.

7PM*
The arrangements for the engagement party has started and the event planners and decorators where doing their jobs at the mansion.
Nathan and Liam were seen, dressed for the party with a angry look wearing on their faces.
“Dad is seriously getting married to this ugly witch” Liam gritted his teeth.
“I don’t like her too but I can’t deny the fact that’s she beautiful” Nathan shrugged and Liam groaned.
“Must you be annoying Nathan! I know she’s beautiful and that’s why I used the opposite word” Liam said, frustratedly.
“But, I didn’t…”
“Oh just forget about it!” Liam rolled his eyes and walked away.
“Liam! Wait for me Liam!” Nathan followed him till they got into the kitchen. The engagement cake was also there.
“What are we doing here Liam?”
“We’re make sure this party doesn’t hold” Liam smirked.
“What! That’s wrong Liam! We might get caught!” Nathan blurted.
“If you aren’t gonna help me then just go” Liam scoffed.. He brought out a syringe and injected it into the cake. Nathan’s eyes widened as he watched him.
It was a syringe which would make anyone who touches the cake, blow up at his or her face.
“Liam..” Nathan grunted.
“What? I mean, we both don’t like her” He shrugged and Nathan heaved in relief.

“Where’s Hayes? Did he actually forget about our party?” Emery kept pacing to and fro with her phone in her hands. She had just give him the sixth call, but he wasn’t picking up.
“Darn you Hayes!” She threw her phone on the bed. She was dressed beautifully and gorgeously, whilst waiting for him to show up but he wasn’t back yet.
“I’ll go wait for him downstairs” She mumbled and started walking downstairs.
By now, the decorators were already done with their works and the guests were already starting to arrive. Soon, the living room was filled with lots of elegant people.
Emery greeted them one by one till she got to the last person and her blood boiled with rage and anger when she saw Tessa standing there, also looking at her.
“Oh, hi miss Emery” She waved with a forced smile and Emery stormed up to her.
“What do you think you’re doing here?!” She whispered.
“Trying to stop the engagement from not happening” Tessa replied, straightforwardly.
“What!” Emery frowned.
“Everyone!” Tessa shouted through the crowd and the audience turned to their direction.
Hayes walked in that moment, but he didn’t let them noticed him. He just stood back waiting for the next action.
“What are you doing insane girl!” Emery clenched her jaw as she tried controlling her anger and Tessa smirked.
“Do you know miss Emery here is a slut and she isn’t wearing any br.a right now?!” Tessa said and everyone gasped even Emery.
“Tessa!” She shouted.
“What? Are you afraid?”
“Miss Emery here is only after Hayes Flynn’s wealth and not him!” She said again and everyone gasped including Hayes this time.
“Nanny Tessa” Nathan and Liam muttered when they came out of the kitchen. They just saw her too.
“That’s not true! She’s lying! I’m crazily and madly in love with Hayes!” Emery defended and a smirk crept up on Tessa’s lips.
“Wanna see proof?!” She asked the crowd who just kept gasping.
Slowly, she stepped closer to Emery and intentionally stepped on the long gown she was putting on, zipping it down and her B-__-bs pounced out publicly.

Tears welled up in Emery’s eyes as she quickly wore her gown back.
“This is the beginning of your suffering Tessa Thompson! I’ll make you pay mark my words” She glared at her and Tessa gulped nothing till she ran out of their midst.
“Nanny Tessa!!?” The boys rushed to meet her, hugging her happily.
“Boys!”
“Thanks for saving us from that wicked witch” Nathan smiled cutely and Tessa pecked their foreheads.
“I love you both”
“We h@ťě you too” They both chorused and she laughed out.
The guests were still watching them like they were movie and Hayes finally stepped in.
“Oh my gosh, it’s Hayes!”
“Do you think he’ll fire her?”
“The question is, will he still marry Emery?”
“Bravo!” He let out a one sided grin and Tessa quickly looked up at him.
“Uh, sir.. I’m sorry sir…”
“You don’t need to apologize, you just made my job easier” He smirked darkly and Tessa was astonished.
“What job?” She asked.
“Get ready for part two” He said and with that, he started walking upstairs not minding the people that was staring at him.
“Okay now, party is over! Everybody go to your house!” Liam screamed and they turned to them again.
“Oh Liam” Nathan rolled his eyes and Tessa laughed.
“What? Is the party not over yet?” Liam asked and Tessa ruffled his hair.
“Oh boy!” She muttered. The guests slowly started leaving the house since the party got ruined.
“Good that they left” Nathan smiled.
“You guys purposely did that didn’t you?” She asked and Nathan pointed at Liam.
“Oh c’mon, you know I don’t like her” He scoffed and Tessa hugged him without thinking.
Nathan coughed, feeling left out and Tessa hugged him too.
“You boys are just amazing”
“Of course, daddy’s wifey” Liam grinned, winking at her and Tessa gasped this time.
