“Tell me it isn’t true, tell me that what I heard is wrong ” Clifford demanded but Susie kept quiet.
Walking towards her, he pulled her into his arms, holding her tight.
“It’s the reason why you’ve been pushing me away, right?” He muffled against her neck.
“Am sorry, I just couldn’t stay knowing my condition” Susie said, as tears kept falling from her eyes.
“What stage?”
“Stage four which means I only have few months left to…”
“No! Something has to be done, I won’t seat back and let you die. We are going to the hospital” Clifford said, getting up.
“But…”
“No buts Susie, I beg you” he said.
Two hours later, they both sat in the doctor’s office, looking shock.
“You mean…am not going to die?” Susie ask.
“The test result we did now says you in perfect condition and are pregnant ” the doctor reveal, shocking them more.
“But the test result she did…”,
“Must have been a mistake or they gave you the wrong diagnosis” the doctor said, cutting her off before she could finish.
A while later, they both sat in the confine of their car thinking about what happen earlier.
“Am not dying” Susie said.
“Instead you are having a chil, our child” Clifford said, smiling at her.
The upcoming parents kiss and hug each other as they felt proud of their baby.
“But why will the hospital lie to me?” Susie said.
“Rather, what exactly did Marco do? You said he gave you the result right?”
“He did but would he…”
“Why don’t we find out ourselves” Clifford said.

Clifford stop the car in front of the hospital, he was about to get out when Susie stop him.
“Take a look” she said and slowly, he followed her gaze to see Tamara and Marco coming out together.
“Why the hell is she here?”
“Do you know her?” Susie ask.
“She’s my stepsister, Nina older sister”
“But what’s she doing with Marco?”
“They are probably plotting something and that might probably be because of me. Tamara and I once dated in the past but we broke things off , she told me she came back because of me” Clifford explain.
They watch Tamara drive off and Marco phoning someone.
Susie phone began to ring, she showed Clifford the caller.
“Answer it” Clifford ordered and she did as he said, speaking to Marco briefly before ending the call.
“He wants to meet with me” Susie said.
“Hell no” Clifford said but Susie stop him.
“We need to know why he’s doing this and so, I will go see him. The earlier we know what he’s planning with Tamara, the better for us” Susie said.

Susie got out of the elevator and went in search of room 302.
She knock twice and immediately, Marco open the door.
“Come in” he said welcoming her in.
“Why didn’t you let us meet at Knight hotel?”
“Cause I wanted some time alone with you. You came alone, right?” Marco ask
“I did. Why did you ask to see me?”
“I was worried. I mean you’ve seen your test result what do plan to do?” Marco ask.
“Well, I will just let it things be”
“You don’t intend to fight it, you could still do chemo and…”
“I don’t want that” Susie said, watching him walk to the wine cellar to pour them both a drink.
Unknown to Susie, he poured a liquid from a little jar into her drink.
After stirring it, he gave it to her to drink, lightly sipping it.
“Are we planning to toast to my sickness?” Susie asked.
“Of course not, I just gave you the drink to feel good” he said quickly but Susie set down the glass.
“You poisoned this, right?” Susie ask suddenly.
“What do you mean by poison? I wouldn’t….”
“Yes you will, just like you did to many others” Susie attack.
“You make up a fake test result telling innocent patient that they are going to die in the hope of exhorting money from them which you did and then you go ahead to ki||ing them just so their family members won’t suspect you”
“In my case, you gave me the test result to exhort money from my husband but now that you have Tamara, you quickly want to get me out of the way so you can get your money from her, am i wrong?” Susie ask.
“You aren’t wrong. There’s poison in that drink, I wanted you dead to get the money Tamara promise me, there’s no harm in making money, right?”
“Making money by ki||ing people!” Susie yell at him.
“Making money the upright didn’t favour me once but making money this way favours me. Have been making millions off the idiots who have believed my lies and have gotten away with it without anyone knowing. You have no prove that am a bad guy since I never for once taint my image. No one will believe you” he yell at her in return.
“You are right. No one will believe my word but don’t bet on that for too long” Susie said as the door suddenly burst open.
Clifford along with some police officers came into the room.
“You called the cops on me?” Marco ask.
“Did you think that she will walk into the lion den without protection. Your such a dummy” Clifford told him.
“You know, we had no prove that you were the culprit, all we had was just the police findings and since they needed prove to get to you, my wife and I decided to give it to them ” Clifford added as Susie pulled out a pen from her chest pocket.
“This contain the video of our conversation. You can use it on him” Susie said as the police immediately seize him.
“Six female have been your victim but you’ve manage to get away with their death but now luck is not on your side, you’ve been caught and you are going to spend the rest of your life in jail” the police officer said dragging him out of the room.
“Now that we are done with this, it’s time for us to go home” Susie said, wrapping her arms around Clifford.
“You will have to go without me, I have something else to do ” Clifford said.
“And what is it?”

“It’s a lovely surprise to see you here, did he see my face cause you miss it?” Tamara ask as she let as Clifford in.
“No, I actually to show you something” He said as he played the video of Marco confessing his crime.
“As you can see, he mentioned your name ”
“That isn’t prove” Tamara replied softly.
“Really? It’s with this prove that Marco is currently in jail, would you like me to try out the same thing with you?” Clifford ask.
“What do you want!”
“I want you to leave. Go back to China and never come back or you can stay here and I press charges against you, you won’t want to fight me cause you will lose”
“What do you say?” He added waiting for her reply.
“Fine! I will leave and never come back” Tamara said, scared of fighting Clifford since she knows she will lose.

“Hey, the guy who came looking for you is here again” Nina friend said as they walk out of the college together.
Nina quietly watch Stanley walk up to her, he greeted her friend and took her bag from her.
Ever since the one night stand thing that happen between them, she’s been doing her best to stay out of his way but he keeps doing his best to see her.
“Would you get in or you rather we talk here” Stanley demanded, standing with the car door open.
“I just want my bag back”
“But I want to talk to you” he said.
“And I don’t want to talk. Can’t you see that that is the reason have been ignoring you. Just give me my bag, I need to read and prepare for my masters exam” she said.
“You are like this because of what happen between us right? You shouldn’t be, it was something we both decided to do and….”
“And it won’t make you love me. The only reason I gave myself to you that night is because I love you but then, I realise that I was nothing different from a wh-_-re begging for s*x. So, I feel disgusted with myself, please do me a favour and let me be, stop making me h@ťě myself whenever I see you” She said, taking her bag from him.
She had just taken three steps when he said.
” You say I don’t love you? What do you know about me to think that”
Nina stood still, waiting for him to continue which he did.
“Jumping to conclusion will only keep us apart more. You love me, don’t you think that I might have fallen for you too” he added and slowly, she turn to look at him.
“Have fallen in love with you, Nina. I don’t know how you did it but you’ve completely occupy my heart, I love you so much that I ache” he said and spread out his arms.
“If you still love me and want to make a life with me, then come to me, stop running, please” he added softly.
Immediately, Nina ran into his arms, holding him tight.
“Am never letting you go” Nina said.
“Same here, same here” he echo her word.
Just then he got a call from Clifford which he answered.
“Really? We will be there” he said into the reciever before ending the call.

Martha got back to home to find it empty.
She had left Anna at home to get something at the supermarket, so where did she go? Martha thought as she left the house and went to the back yard.
She found Anna and Martin playing together.
He was telling her a joke which got her laughing out hard.
It’s been a month since Adrian had ask her to let him be a part of her life. She didn’t say yes to him immediately, since she felt nothing for him.
But as months pass and she got to know him, she found herself falling for him little by little.
“So when mommy comes, you help me give her the ring and what will you say?” Adrian said to the little girl.
“That you are the best in the world and that I want you to be my daddy” Ana said.
“That’s my girl. I love you Ana and I love your mom too, I hope she gets to see that and accept me” Adrian said.
“Why not just tell it to me” Martha said, startling them both.
“You are back” Adrian said, walking towards her with Ana in his arms.
“I am back and I heard your rehearsal” She replied, stretching forth her hand.
“What?” A confuse Adrian said.
“The ring” Anna said impatiently and immediately, he took the ring from Anna and slip it into Martha finger.
“Does it mean that you accept me?” Adrian ask.
“I do. You’ve shown your worth this past month and have also fallen in love with you” Martha said which got Adrian pulling her into his arms to kiss her.
“I love you two” he said
“And we love you too”Martha said as she got a message.
“Clifford told us to get to the hospital” Martha inform.

“Let me see her again” Susie who was pale and was on the hospital bed said and immediately, Clifford picked up their bundle of joy.
“Isn’t she pretty?” Susie ask starring at her newborn daughter.
“Just as pretty as you. Have you thought of a name?” Clifford ask.
“I have. We will go with your mother’s name, Elsa” Susie said making her husband teary.
“It’s such a lovely name, thanks my love. I love you so much”
“And I love you too” Susie said.
“I already call everyone and they are outside, they want to see our little Elsa including Granny, she wants to apologize to you for everything” Clifford said.
“Let them in” Susie replied, giving him a brief kiss before he went to let in their guest.
And just like the parents, they all fell for baby Elsa making her parents feel proud for having a very beautiful daughter.
