Ben watched on as his girlfriend and his student
continued the hot romance. The two individuals

say so”, Ben said almost shouting. Ben’s
statement shocked Ann and threw her off
balance, and his tone embarrassed her. She
wondered how he knew such details. She
quickly looked around to check whether people
heard him, but luckily, everybody minded their
business. She took some time to reorganize her
composure and replied Ben. “Unfortunately, you
are right. I’m in love with him and I want to keep
things real. Moreover, what I had with you had
no future. I will be at loss whenever you decide
to go back fully to your wife. So yes, I’m ending
things with you to give real love a chance in my
life. If you don’t mind, sir, I will take my leave
now”, Ann said while maintaining a confident
composure.
About two minutes after saying that and
waiting for a response from Ben, she stood to
leave. Then Ben said, “I will be the one to decide
when we should end. You can’t give me a taste
of bliss and just take it away at your own time. I
won’t let anyone take you away from me. Not
that boy or anyone in the campus. And I warn
you, this path you want to toll would be very
dangerous for you and that Chisom boy. Please,
reconsider your decision”. Ann walked away
without replying him. Her mind was made up
and the increasing love she was developing for
Chisom was her propeller.
After the meeting, Ben kept calling Ann’s phone
and sending text messages, but she neither took
the calls nor replied the texts. He would send
texts begging and giving Ann reasons why she
should come back. Sometimes, he would send
thr_@tening texts saying the things he would do
if she didn’t come back. Ann would only read
those texts and ignore them. Within a short
time, Ann’s relationship with Chisom blossomed
into a real love affair. Each of them was giving
their best and the result was evident. They were
truly in love.
About four months into their relationship, Ann
went to Chisom’s apartment as usual to be with
her boyfriend. She knocked, but the door was
not answered. She knew Chisom was in
because there was music playing in the house
and his footwear was at the door. She dropped
the groceries she was carry and reached for the
spare key she had. She opened the door and
saw Chisom crying out his eyes. There were
empty bottles of alcoholic drinks on the floor
