The king came out of his courtyard and walked towards the ground opening of the palace.
Ian and hani have been waiting for him there, two of them dripping wet from head to toe and the guards were watching from behind them.
Hani was busy squeezing the wetness from her hanbok when she realised the king was coming.
She quickly stood upright with her hand behind her back and heart was running faster than a marathon race.
The King stopped in front of them and looked at both of their faces.
” And who’s responsible for this mess?” He asked.
Hani lowered her head as her teeth bit her lower lip fearfully. She could hear her heartbeat.
Ian looked over to her and let a low sigh before looking away.
” It’s my fault” He said.
” Huh?” Hani blinked, throwing her wet hair aside just to stare up at his face.
” I incidentally dragged her into the pool of water” He said, looking straightforwardly at the King’s direction.
” Correction!” One of the guards walked out. ” She was running away when she collided into you and___”
The guards words suddenly hung in his throat when Ian gave him a single stare and his mind got manipulated instantly.
The guard bowed at him before walking aside.
Hani felt a bit relieved. She slowly looked at the king and saw disbelief written in his thin eyes.
” Are you trying to help her out, Ian?” The king asked.
” It was my mess, Why would you think I’m trying to help her out?” Ian asked and the king started having a rethought.
” Fine” The king said before clearing his throat. ” I’ll let it slide since it was just incidental. Go back to your courtyard. The guards will handle the other girl” He said.
” Thank you, your highness” He bowed halfway and turned to hani, stopping to give her a strict frown
” Next time, be careful” He said and her cheeks flushed embarrassingly.
He stared at her for another few seconds before turning his back and walking away
Hani stretched her neck to stare at his broad back, before smiling sheepishly.
” Woah…Did He just save me?.. I don’t want to think what would have been my fate if the king knew the truth. And he’s so tall and handsome too. Gosh…I just created history by breathing the same air as him. I’m so lucky!” She giggled, wriggling her body playfully.
It’s her first time being helped by a guy, and also her first time seeing someone so gorgeously created. It made her hot blood rush.
The guards hit her head making her instantly snap out of her Fantasy world.
” What are you still thinking. Come along with us idiot!. If you try to escape this time around, we’ll tie your throat to a gate and make you crawl around with it” He spat and she begam to run after him fearfully.

Vivian, the head mistress, was cleaning up the pool of water created by hani. She looked up when she noticed the first Prince, Xander, was coming behind with his unleashing presence.
Some maids had to run away after noticing his fast footsteps approaching.
He was Queen Lisa’s son. Her only child and the next heir to the King’s throne.
He adjusted his dark robe and ran his fingers into his thick, raven dark hair as he catwalk.
Vivian quickly stood up on her foot Immediately she saw him and her chin faced down quickly.
” Prince Xander!” She called and he stopped in his track, slowly turning to glare at her.
” There is water on the tiles. You could fall, please walk more gently” She said.
The Prince stared at the pool of mess on the floor and his eyes turned darker.
” For how long have this mess lasted?” He asked.
” It happened few minutes ago” She bowed.
” And why is the mess being delayed to clear up since then?” He asked.
” I’m.. I’m..I..was..”
” I will walk towards the garden to pick something and return back, and this whole mess should be cleared off before then.”
” Definitely, Prince Xander” She nodded.
” Wretched sort of fools” He spat with an irritated look before stepping off.
Vivian was about to pick up her mop when a hand grabbed it before her.
She looked up and saw Ian.
Ian watched Xander leave, before he turned to face Vivian.
” What did he tell you mom?” He asked.
” Shh” Vivian hushed him and looked around to find no one watching. ” Don’t call me mom, Ian. I know I’m your mother but you should avoid saying it in public so confidently. No one should know about this, son” She told him.
” I still have no idea why you’re hiding your identity. What difference does it make if they knew?” He asked.
” You don’t understand Ian. I’ve worked in this Palace longer than you’ve imagined. There’s more that you haven’t known yet” She said.
” I’d like to know from scratch, mom” He said confidently.
Vivian sighed and picked up her mopstick from him.
” As you can see Ian, I have to clean up the entire place before the Prince returns back.”
” Let me help you” He tried to collect it from her but she stepped away from him.
” Go back to the Knight Yard and have some rest, Ian. You’re being very restless, Let me do my job peacefully.” She said and Ian sighed.
He walked up to her and held her shoulder firmly before kissing her hair carefully.
” I can feel you’re uncomfortable around me. You are safe, there’s nothing to hide and worry about cos you a have a strong Knight by your side, okay?. Goodnight, mom” He said and she smiled redly.
” Goodnight!” She waved and watched him turn away to leave.
” I was told not to say the truth at all cost. I knew one day he’d want to know everything. Poor boy” She said sadly.
She was about to pick her mop when Aurora stepped out of the courtyard quickly.
” Princess Aurora” Vivian bowed.
” What direction did Ian take? ” She asked impatiently.
” Ian?” Vivian asked with an irritating look.
” Yes, Didn’t he take this way?. Or was it the other way??. I have to fetch him before he gets to the Knight yard” She said.
” The other way, princess” She said and Aurora began to take the other direction, running quickly.
Vivian sighed as she watched her retreating backs.
” I’d rather be stuck inside an airless jar than to let you have your way with my son. ” She hissed and continued with her work.

Queen Lisa walked into the King’s chamber only to meet Xora massaging his foot with an oil.
She halted in her track with a low gasp.
” Xora!!. What are you doing here?!” Lisa yelled.
Xora sighed and stood up, folding her arms around her chest.
” And If I may ask, what are you doing here as well?” She asked.
” It’s my duty to spend the night with the king. Tonight is my turn!” Her fist ran cold.
” The king is the one to decide who to stay with him. Not you” Xora spat.
Lisa pushed her aside by her shoulder and walked straight to the king who was sitting on the sofa.
” Are you listening to what the heck she is saying?!.” She yelled.
” Lisa, Leave” The king said calmly.
” Your highness?” Lisa panicked with furrowed brows.
” Lisa, I want you to leave right now!!” The king yelled.
Lisa gasped as tears suddenly jerked at the corner of her eyes. She swallowed in painfully.
” Fine” Her voice cracked up. ” I’ll leave and I’m not coming back here. That’s a promise” She sniffed boldly before walking out.
Xora laughed and slammed the door crazily.
” No…I’m the first wife..I’m the King’s favourite…the first lady of Edessa. Sounds like Lisa” Xora mimicked, pouring out her laughter.
” You can come and pick your oil” The king gestured.
” I’m not done massaging your feet, King Luz” She bowed.
” You can Take your oil, Xora” He ordered strictly and she picked it up, still not breaking glances with the king.
” Now Turn your back and get the f_ck out of here!” He ordered and She gasped, her brows widening.
The two guards standing behind the bed were finding it hard to control their laughter at the moment.
” You suddenly don’t understand English anymore?” The king asked.
” No your highness, I..I..Just don’t__
” Get Out before I repeat it with a terrible action!, Xora.” He scowled.
She gulped in hardly before running out of the bedroom quickly.

Hani slowly raised her chin up when the door was pushed open and a Ray of light flashed in he cute ball eyes.
The second Queen, Erica, walked in along with Vivian.
” Release her wrist” Erica ordered and Vivian quickly went forward and untied hani from the chains.
Hani stood up, rubbing her teary cheeks cos she had cried all through the night.
” You can’t say a greeting?” Erica spat.
” G..Good morning your highness.” She said with a bow and eyes began to stream down with tears.
Erica stared at her with disgust.
” How can my husband even arrest such a dirty and unkept girl like this. She needs to be thrown away in a trash!” She spat.
” I’ll take her to the river, your highness” Vivian bowed.
” Of course you have to do that before she infect other people in the palace and after that, give her the list of chores she would do for the day”
” Yes, Your highness. I’ll do that” Vivian bowed.
” Most of all, Let her get a tremendious bath. I can die of breathing oxygen just by standing next to her” Erica said.
” Sorry, Your…highness” Vivian gulped in hardly.
Erica quickly walked away and Vivian turned to her. Hani quickly stepped back in fear.
” I’m Vivian. What’s your name?” She asked.
” Hani” She said, still clearing her wet cheeks.
” I heard you stole and was dragged here” She asked and hani nodded, sobbing all over again.
” Hey, Hey. don’t cry. I’m not going to hurt you. Just take me as your mom, okay?. I’m not like everyone else here”
” Thank you. But I just want to see my father. Please” She sniffed, her eyes getting blurry.
” Your father?” She blinked.
Erica walked back in and stared at them.
” What are you still both waiting for??” She spat.
” We’re on our way, Your highness!” Vivian said and started to move away and hani followed behind quickly.
She led her towards the stream and gave her a piece of new comfy hanbok dresses.
” Thank you so much!” Hani bowed.
” It’s fine. Have your bath. Meet me at the palace so you can join the other girls in working”
” Okay ma’am. Thank you mom. I..I..mean…ma’am. Thank you ma’am” Hani greeted, bowing at each word.
” Okay, I’ll go now. Quickly have your bath” Vivian said and walked away.
Hani looked around before taking off her dress, dipping herself into the water.
She swarm around for a few minutes and started to run her fingers into her wet hair.
Ian and two other Knight started to climb down the rock and head towards the stream causing Hani to gasp.
” Oh no. These guys are here. My dress is far away from me!” She panicked.
Ian started taking off his robe when he noticed something move in the water.
He looked carefully and started walking forward to see what it was.
” Oh please wait!!” Hani gagged.
Ian immediately fell on his @zz and crawled back quickly and the other two Knight took to their heels instantly.
” It’s me, Hani!” She said and Ian looked around before looking at her with furrowed brows.
” Hani?. The girl from yesterday?” He asked.
” Yes, Yes!.” She nodded.
Ian sighed and stood up.
” What are you doing in there?” He asked.
” I was told to take my bath here” She said and Ian began to walk closer.
” Oh stop!!. Stop!!!. Don’t move any further!!. I’m na…ked” She screamed, tapping the water to make it splash.
Ian didn’t listen and hani watched with wide eyes as she calculated every of his steps.
She saw him move towards her dress on the floor instead and a sigh left her lips.
” Your dress is here” He stretched it towards her. She swarm forward and picked it from him.
” Thank you” She said shyly.
” You can come out now” He said and turned his back, standing still.
Hani quickly grasped what his motive
She immediately stepped towards the bank of the river and wore it on quickly.
She looked at him.
” I’m done” She said and he turned around to look at her, scanning the dress before looking at her.
” Next time, don’t have your bath at earlier hours like this. If I wasn’t here, the other Knight might have bullied you or even touch you if they found you here”
” Okay, Sir. Thank you so much for your help sir” She bowed, with a bright smile and Ian looked at her with raised brow.
” I’m eighteen. Just call me Ian” He said.
” Okay, Ian” She nodded.
Aurora was coming behind and that’s when she realised the two of them by the river banks.
She left her attendant and took off her heels, bringing up her dress to her knee height.
She climbed down the hill and walked up to them hastily.
” Ian!” She called and walked into their midst before turning to give Hani a strong glare. She smiled and turned to look at Ian.
” I was looking for you everywhere last night, Ian. You didn’t even tell me you were leaving already”
” I would like to have my bath now. I have practice in the next few minutes” He said.
” Awwn. I also want to have my bath as well” She smiled and Ian bowed before turning away to leave.
” Ian. Are you leaving?!” She panicked and he stopped in his track without facing her.
” I thought you said you want to have your bath” He said.
” Yes, But___”
” Please do as you wish, Princess. I’d come over when you’re done” He said and continued to walk away.
” Wait, Ian..Ugh!. Let’s bath together…Ugh…Stop walking out of me!!!” She screamed but he kept walking away.
She sighed and fisted her palm before turning to hani.
” What are you standing here looking at. Do you have manners at all!. You couldn’t even say a greeting, Fool!” She spat and tried to raise her hand to hit hani but her leg slipped on the rock.
Hani tried to grab her but she grabbed her expensive scarf instead and Aurora fell into the river loosely.
” My princess!!” Hani screamed and started running away, leaving her there alone.

Hani walked in and dropped Prince Xander’s breakfast on his dinner table before turning to face him on the sofa.
” Your meal is here, Your highness” She bowed.
Xander looked at her.
” Leave” He ordered.
” Okay, Your higness” She bowed and tried to leave but he tapped his foot, making her halt.
” Are you a new maid here?” He asked.
” Yes, Your highness” She replied.
” Don’t back me when answering me”
” I’m so Sorry” She faced him quickly.
” You just took me as a fool. Don’t you know I’m the heir to the throne?. The most respected Prince among all here?” He said strictly and hani brows creased.
” I’m so sorry, most respected Prince”
” I do not take sorry for an apology.” He said and hani sighed.
” Look my prince, I know it’s cos you’re hungry that why you’re speaking this way. I’m sure if you eat even just a little, you’ll be fine and regain your senses back” She blabbed and the Prince just stared at her dumbfounded.
