Amelia was able to sleep with the help of Mirabel, she woke up with smiles on her face. She made use of the bathroom and came back to the room.
Amelia called Maya and pleaded with her, she apologised for not telling her that she was coming back to Naples.
“Alright, you know i can’t be mad at you forever. You’re my best friend and I love you Amelia.”
“I’m sorry..” Amelia apologised again over the phone. “Okay.. Am on my way to the palace.”
“She did what?” Maya asked. “Yes. She told me to be careful.” Amelia said. “Hm. I never trusted her.”
“You never like her.” Amelia replied. “You know that. She was never good to you. Well as she said, you need to be careful with everything.” She said. Amelia nods and mumbled, “I will.” She sigh.
“I’m glad you are here and am truly sorry for not telling you.” Amelia said. “Oh com’on, you’ve apologise before. We are good now.” Maya replied.
“Thank you.” Amelia said. “Oh there she goes again. Always thanking me for nothing.” Maya said. “And who says it nothing.” Amelia said.
“Me.” She replied. “Wh@ťěver. Let’s grab something. Let’s go to a restaurant. I heard that there food is good, let’s try it.” Amelia said.
Amelia and Maya walked into the restaurant and they placed an order, they ate to their satisfactions before leaving. They headed back to the palace and Maya spend a little time with her, before heading to her home.
She arrived at the house and her little brother Sam welcomed her with a hug and smiles on his face.
“You’re welcome. My love.” Sam said, smiling. “Thank you, my love. What about mom and dad?”
“They’re inside. I guess you didn’t tell them that you will be coming to Naples and guess what?”
“What? Com’on you tell me. You know am not good at guessing.”
“The Queen is back. What’s her name again?..Huhm! Amelia. Queen Amelia.” Maya said cutting him off.
“Yes, my love. She is so beautiful. That’s what I heard. And mom and dad is going to her palace. To welcome her.
Dad wasn’t around during her coronation. It’s so sad, at least I would have seen her beautiful face. And tell her that I love her.”
“Hmm! The woman you are talking about his a fianceé.” Maya said. “Fianceé? What’s that?”
“Like she is engaged. She has a lover.” Maya explained. “Oh. So because she has a lover, I can’t talk to her.”
“Uhm I didn’t say that, my love.” Maya said, staring at him. “So what are you saying?” He asked, with folded arms.
“Uhm. Okay. You can see her. When?” He cut her off. “To..” She paused and looked at the door, revealing her mother.
Michelle was a little worried, because Sam hasn’t returned to the house. She opened the door and saw Maya. She went to her.
“Uhm..Maya. Sammy you don’t have to keep her outside.” Michelle said and hugged her. “I’m sorry mom.”
“It’s fine mom we are just having a brother and sister conversation.” Maya said and glance at her brother.
“Come in, my dear. You didn’t send a message or call telling us that you are coming to Naples.”
“Uhm. Mom. It just wanted to surprise y’all. Let’s go inside. What about my dad?” She asked as walked into the house.
“Good day dad.” She greeted and hugged her dad. “Oh my girl. It’s been a while, you don’t even care about coming to see us.”
“I’m sorry dad, I have been busy with work.” She said and her father looked at her. “What..?” She asked, with a little frown.
“You have been busy with your boyfriend.” Edward said. “Dad! Don’t take it that way. I was sick and something happened when Eddie was there with me, everything went wrong. Ethan was angry. Dad I wronged him.”
“I hope you guys are cool now.” Edward said, smiling. “Yes dad, he’s good and a businessman.” Maya said.
“I hope he won’t be like me. He should take care of his family and you.” Edward said. “Dad, you’re good. You took care of your family. You took care of everyone. Okay.”
“Okay. Have you heard?'” Edward said. “About the Queen.” Maya said.
“Yes..” He paused and exhale nervously. “She went through a lot. I heard that king Henderson and king Luciano was there. I couldn’t attend because of my business trip.”
“It’s fine. Amelia will definitely understand.” Maya said. “Hey. She is a Queen.” Her father corrected.
“Alright dad, but she won’t let me address her that way. I heard you guys are going to the palace. Well am just coming from there and she will be happy to see you guys.” Maya said.
“Alright, take care of yourself. The maids will get you something to eat.” Her father said. “I’m okay. Amelia and I went a restaurant and went ate something.”
“Alright, take care.” Edward said. And they left for the palace, Queen Amelia was very happy to see them. They used the opportunity to thanked her for everything.
Amelia order the royal guards to go fetch the man, who the woman she was in the street was talking about. They brought him to the palace and was locked up.
“Where did you find him?” She asked, looking at the man. “At the inn.” Jerry replied. “You are busy drinking, why your brother’s wife and son are in the street, begging.” She yelled at him. He bowed his head in shame.
“What kind of man are you?” She yelled. “I’m sorry, your majesty. Please spare my life.” Was all he could utter.
“Give me orders, your majesty.” Jerry said. She looked at him and smiled and nodded her head.
“Do you know him?” She asked. “Your majesty. Rumors has it that he took everything that belongs to his brother after he died.”
“Doesn’t he have another family?” Queen Amelia asked, as they walked out of the place. “I don’t know, your majesty.” He replied.
“Make a research on it. And get me the feedback.” She said, he bow and left. “Oh goodness, what a world.” She sighed and went to her room.
She was sitting on the bed, when her phone started ringing. She grabbed the phone and smiled at the caller.
“Hello baby..” She said, sweetly. “How are you doing, Queen Amelia?” He asked.
She chuckled softly, “Please keep it out of this. I’m fine and you.” She said. “Well am good, missing you.”
“Me too babe. Maya came to Naples and we settled out differences. We are best friends. Nothing is gonna separate us.” She giggles.
“Alright, that’s good. How’s my heir doing?” He asked, smiling. “He’s fine. Just that mommy needs segz.” She said.
“Oh really?” He questioned, like he doesn’t know or need it. “Yeah. I can’t even remember the last time we did it.”
“Okay. Mama. We will do it.” He said. “Where?” She asked. “How about a lodge? You know.” He said and shrugged.
“You mean in Rome?” She questioned. “No, babe. In Naples.” He said. “What happened to the palace?”
“It seems like a disrespect.” He said. “To who? Henderson com’on.” She said. “We are not married yet. I can’t do it there.”
“Seriously?” She asked. “Yeah. You’re not familiar with your customs, you should go into it. You need to read and ask about it.
“My lord, make me understand. You had segz with me in your palace, we ain’t even married. And Saanvi, you…” She paused and ran her hand on her hair.
“Queen Amelia, I want you to understand that. Naples customs are different from mine. In Naples you can’t sleep with a guy who you’re not married to. Am talking about in the palace. Am glad Ms Mirabel is there with you. She can tell you more about your customs.”
“I’m pissed off.” She said. “Am sorry.” He said. “So how are you coping with the royal guards and the hefty bouncers and the securities.”
“Oh yeah. I hope Jerry is doing his job perfectly.”Henderson asked. “Yeah. He is good. He is following me every where I go.”
“Hope you didn’t stress yourself.” He said. “Nah! I went to the market and it wss fun..” She said and remembered the woman and her son.
“Okay. What did you got from the local market?” He asked. “I went for grocery shopping. Yeah.”
He laughed. “Why you laughing, babe?” She asked. “The way you said it, grocery shopping. Seriously?”
“Com’on stop. Stop making fun of a Queen’s word.” She said. “Am sorry, your majesty.” He said. “Must you make it sound that way.”
“Sorry, baby.” He said, smiling. “So when are you coming to Naples? I have missed you, your smiles. Your lovely eyes. Everything about you.” She said.
“Huhm! Tell me. I can’t wait to see you.” She said. “Huhm. Next week.” He said. “No date. Time?” She asked.
“Non for now.” He said. “Am disappointed.” She said, pissed off. “Don’t be. I have to go. I love you babe.”
“I love you too.” She replied and hang up. She stood up and moved to the window. She misses her parents and her brother. She didn’t get time to spend with her sister in law. The little she knew was she was a nice person.
Twenty minutes later, she walked out of the room and met Jerry on his way to her room. He bow his head.
“Heading to my room?” She asked and continue walking. “Yes, your majesty.” He replied and bow, though she wasn’t looking at him.
“I can’t see you.” She said and stopped, immediately he came to her front and bowed again.
“Enough of the bowing. Did you get any information?” She said. “Yes, your majesty.” He replied.
