He glanced at her. “I care about you” He replied. “No, you don’t. You don’t care about my feelings for you. Going back to Naples is not easy for me. It’s true I wanted to go back and save my people but not now. I have found someone whom i love and i want to spend the rest of my life with”
“Babe..listen to me. I understand, but there’s nothing i can do. You just have today and tomorrow. You will be leaving for Naples after that”
“I got a report from the doctor, who checked you up. She said you need rest and thank God our baby is fine” He said, she didn’t utter a word but pick up the shirt and wore it.
“Leave my room. I wanna be alone” She said, without looking at him. “Stop this. It’s hurting me. I’m not doing it intentionally. I’m trying to save you don’t you understand. Amelia I love you and i will do anything to keep you safe” He said, tears dropped off his eyes.
“I’m sorry. I don’t want to lose you while trying to save me” She mumbled and hugged him, crying on his shoulders.
“Shhh… It doesn’t matter. If i die, you have someone who will take my place. Death is for everyone” Henderson
“Stop saying this. Please stop. Stop using that word, I don’t want to lose you.” She plead, while crying. “If you promise that you will stop crying” He replied.
“I promise” She replied and broke the hug, she began to wipe her tears and her nose that was running. “Babe…” He muttered and brought a handkerchief and wiped her tears, she did the same to his.
They were still sitting on the bed staring at nothing. Amelia who was sitting beside him is already feeling sleepy, she finally drop her head on his shoulders and slept off. Henderson smiled and glanced at her.
“Com’on sweetheart. You should lay on the bed” He muttered and lay her down, he sat down staring at her. “I’m trying to protect you and our baby. I don’t mind dying” He muttered to himself.
“Oh God, i just wish that there won’t be anymore problems. I just wanna leave a happy life with my wife and children with me. Please God, please..this pain is too much. I don’t want any problems” He mumbled, in tears. He glanced at Amelia and cry more.
A knock came on the door, he stood up wondering who it would be. He opened the door and saw him standing with a smile.
“I’m sorry for interrupting your majesty. I just want to know how you are doing” Jefferson said.
“I’m good tho. Just having a difficult time” Henderson said and sighed softly and glance at Amelia.
“Sorry about that your majesty.” Jefferson said, with a bow. Henderson nods in response.
“Let’s have a walk. Am surprised that you came here so early” Henderson said as they walked out together.
“I was disturbed. Thinking about the incident. I just don’t understand why someone would want to ki|| you. Why would someone wants to ki|| the king” Jefferson said, concerned.
“I don’t know. What that person wants from me” Henderson muttered.
“You were my Father’s right hand. His prime minister and his best friend too” Henderson said.
“It’s really painful. It still feels like yesterday” Jefferson mumbled.
“Yeah. It’s a day that i will never forget, even after getting a revenge. It still hurts. Losing both parents” Henderson muttered.
“It’s okay, your majesty. The culprit will be caught soon.” Jefferson said. Henderson stopped walking and sigh.
“We need to do something very fast. I don’t want to lose you, just like I lost your dad. He was a good friend to me. I can’t forget his good works and am glad you are just like him. God will always bless you” Jefferson said.
“Thank you Jefferson am glad to have you here as a minister and an adviser” Henderson said, with a smile.
“You shouldn’t thank me Your Majesty. You’re just like a son to me” Jefferson said.
“You should get going, your wife must be waiting for you. I’m sure you left without her knowing.” Henderson muttered, Jefferson laughed, Henderson joined, he knows that the king was saying the truth.
I will tell the guards to drop you off, please take care” Henderson said and went to the guards, he gave them instructions and immediately Jefferson got into the car and they drove off.
“Henderson you are just like your father. You will live long” Jefferson said to no one in particular.
“I wish your father was alive to you. To see how grown up and brave you are” He added and sigh.
Henderson return back to his bedroom, staring at Amelia who was still sleeping. He walked closer to her and took her soft hand and rubbed it gently. “I love you babe. I promise that nothing will happen to you. Whenever you call I will be there, you’re so stubborn and beautiful” He muttered and gave a little smile. He lay besides her and soon he slept off while staring at her pretty face.
2PM
Ethan and Maya went to a close expensive restaurant. “It’s nice here” She commented.
“I’m glad you like it” He replied and the waiter walked to them. “Good afternoon sir. Good afternoon ma’am”
“Good afternoon. What do you guys have? Can i have the menu?” He asked, politely. “Here sir. And yours ma’am” He said and left.
Some minutes later, they finished eating. Maya sipped from the wine in the glass. “About what you were asking” He mumbled and sighed.
“About what?” She asked. “About what my mom said…” He paused. “Com’on say it” She demanded.
“Okay. It’s about us. She wants grandkids and i tried to explain things to her and I hope she understands. Yeah.”
She chuckled softly. “What? Why are you laughing?”
“So what did you tell her?” She asked. “Well I told her to exercise a little patient. And that we’re still dating and that I will get married to you” He replied.
“Hmm! So why didn’t you say it before?” He asked. “Well, i thought you would be mad at me, because i have been saying some kind of naughty stuff and you might probably think that I was the one making up such story. I’m sorry” He muttered. She smile and grabbed his hands. “It’s okay. I totally understand.” She said and left his hands. “Cheers.” She added and raised her glass up, he did the same and then sipped from it.

Amelia woke up because she felt like using the bathroom. She went in and urinate, some minutes later. She return to the room, Henderson was awake, he picked up his phone that was ringing. It is his secretary calling.
“Good afternoon boss” She greeted. ‘”Good afternoon. Where are you?” He asked.
“At the living room. The royal guard asked me to wait here” She replied.
“Alright, I will send a maid to come get the files” Henderson said and hang up. He called a maid to get the files, some minutes later she returned with the files, while secretary has left.
“Tonight is gonna be just work” She murmured and walked to the closet to get her dress.
7PM
Ethan and Maya went to his mother’s house to have dinner. He had promise to come around. He knocked on the door and it got opened by Mirabel.
“Good evening ma’am” Maya greeted with a bow. “Good evening sweetie” Ethan said.
“Oh my sweetheart. You’re welcome” Mirabel referred to Maya and hugged her. “How are you doing my love?”
“Seriously? She’s not going to ask me how am doing” Ethan murmured and walked into to the sitting room.
“I’m fine and you ma’am” She replied. “I’m fine. Oh dear, I have told you to stop calling me ma’am. Mom will be better” Mirabel said, smiling.
“Alright. Mom” Maya replied. Mirabel smiled, “Com’on my dear. Am happy to see you” She said.
They had dinner together and Mirabel was very happy to see them. She lead them to their own rooms.
11PM
Amelia woke up because of a persistent call from her bladder.
It was well into the night so all she met was silence. She has no idea when she fell asleep, how she got to the bed and when Henderson lay on the bed.
After she used the bathroom, she wrapped her robe around her body and wandered out of her bathroom. In the silence of the night. Henderson turned and saw her coming out, she walked closer to the bed and laid on it.
“Are you okay?” He asked. “Yeah. You don’t have to worry about anything, I only used the bathroom” She replied, he nods and laid back on the bed.
“Are you going to work tomorrow?” She asked, suddenly. “Yeah. Any problem?” Henderson replied.
“No. Be safe” She said and adjust herself on the bed. “Do you want us to go somewhere? Tomorrow?”
“I would like us to. But it’s okay. You don’t have to skip your work because of me” She replied.
“I will do anything for you. What time do you want us to meet? And where?” He asked.
“The park. When you are done.” She replied. He looked at her and smiled. “Alright, princess Amelia” He replied and she backed him, he moved closer and round his hand around her waist and slowly touch her belly.
“Thank you” He muttered.
