The nert morning, Amelia got up early and did her morning routine, she left the palace with Maya, they didn’t go with guards. Thirty minutes later they arrived at the hospital, she met Jackie who just coming out of her car. “Hi Jackie” Amelia muttered and walked close to her. “Your Highness” Jackie called. “How are you doing?” Amelia said, smiling. “Am good and you, i hope the king isn’t boring you” Jackie said, smiling.
“Nah! He has been good” Amelia said, smiling. They walked into the hospital, she already know the reason why she is here, she did some check on her, she let her know that she is fine and this time she has to eat a lot of food, because of her child. She also told her about the séx part, Amelia was a little uncomfortable with it. She couldn’t stop staring at Jackie.
“Is this a plan work” She thought.
“Do we have to do it constantly….i mean there should be time for it, like once or twice in a month” Amelia asked, she knows the kind of person the king is.
“Your Highness, i understand how you feel. It’s for your own good and your baby too” Jackie replied.
“What do you mean?” She find herself asking.
“What i mean is that it makes delivery easy for you and your baby won’t be harm” Jackie said, calmly.
“Alright” She muttered and sighed softly, she rolled her eyes as she remembered it, she couldn’t stop making a sigh of relief.
“Actually the king doesn’t want anyone to know that am pregnant”
“Yeah! He told me about it, and i promise him that his secret is safe with me, you know it can’t be hidden forever” Jackie said, smiling.
“Yes, i know” she replied.
“You know the king and i have been friends for years now. I remember when we were still in college, many thought he was my boyfriend. A lot of girls can’t stop crushing on him” Jackie said.
“But am glad that I’ve found my man” she added with a smile.
“Does he have a lot of friends in school?” Amelia asked.
“Nah! Just Omega and I, you know after what happened to him when he was a little boy, hw find it difficult to keep friends around him, besides that he is good. He has a good heart too” She replied.
“Please don’t hurt him, i know that he has hurt you a lot….please forgive him, sometimes we adults act like a kid” she added.
“Who sponsored his education?” Amelia asked.
“Uhm! Well someone did, She cared for him” Jackie said.
“Okay. But who is she? At least she has a name” Amelia said, staring at Jackie, “of course…..she has a name…Doctor we have an emergency” A nurse said and left, she stood up and grabbed the Stethoscope.
“Am sorry your highness, i have to leave now. We will see some other time” Jackie said, “alright thank you” Amelia muttered and they left the hospital.
“What do you think? I don’t know if he is hiding her. He hasn’t mentioned that to me” She said.
“I think she is around, maybe she is in the palace” Maya said.
“Maya! What are you saying? If she is there i would have seen her, he would have talked about her” Amelia said.
“You know the palace is really big, like so big” Maya said.
“I know, but it’s not bigger than mine” Amelia said.
“Maybe the woman is his mother” Maya said. She glanced at her, but didn’t say anything.
“I don’t think so. Oh goodness please make everything right. I don’t want much problems” She said to herself.
The king watched them as they drove into the palace, Amelia got down from the car, so did Maya. They walked into the palace not knowing that Henderson has been looking at them.
“She didn’t go with the bodyguards. Oh God she is so stubborn” He thought and walked to his room.
Amelia sat on the bed, thinking about what Jackie told her, the woman. “Could it be that his mother is alive. No i don’t think so, he keeps talking about how Grayson ki||ed her”
“Maybe i should stop thinking about it. I’m just giving myself stress” she thought and sighed Maya looked at her in a funny way.
“Do you want to eat something?” Maya asked.
“Maya please don’t ki|| me with food” she replied.
“But you heard what the doctor said, you need to eat a lot of food” maya said.
She sighed and picked up her phone. “Maya i was thinking of something” Amelia said and glance at her.
“Something like what? Maya questioned, staring at her. “Something like…you going for a leave….for a week” Amelia said and flashed her a smile. “What?” She yelled.
“Yes Maya. Tell me, don’t you think about mom and dad” Amelia said, Maya rolled her eyes and glanced at the window.
“They don’t think about me” Maya said, looking away.
“Of course they do. They all think about you. They are scared you know”
“Scared of what Grayson? He is dead, they didn’t bother to look for me, they won’t tell me that they didn’t hear about his death. Even when we were captured, they didn’t come looking for us” Maya said, bluntly.
“Are you angry now? Maya please believe they think about you, they care about you Maya, that’s why I want you to go on a break, stay with them and understand that they still love and care about you”
“They won’t be able to recognize me, it’s been over 6 years now” Maya said and sighed. “Com’on they will, you face didn’t change at all, just that you’ve grown up, just like me” Amelia said with a smile.
“Alright, but i will still come back”
“I will think about that too, before I forget Maya please stop addressing me as your highness, i want you to stop being my maid. I want you to be happy and thank you for everything you’ve done”
“You now want someone else, that’s the reason why you want me to leave the palace, you want me to go to them” Maya said,
“No Maya, please don’t misunderstand me. It’s not like that”
“It’s like how …..you don’t want me anymore” Maya said. “Maya i want you as a friend, not a maid. I don’t want you to be addressed that way. Look Grayson address you because you dress up like one, today am telling you not to dress this way…i just want us to be friends just like we were before all these $h|t came up” Amelia said.
“You are saying that you want me to leave the palace, you want to be alone. Right?” Maya said, Amelia sighed.
“Nah! No. That’s not what i mean Maya. I want you to have your respect” Amelia said. “Like this?” She questioned. “Sending me away” She added.
“You’re misunderstanding me, that’s not what i mean, why can’t you understand. Saanvi can do anything to hurt you. Your dad is rich. He is a minister, please Maya please understand”
They all miss you, please” She added. “Alright what about you? How will you manage?” Maya asked.
“Don’t worry about me. I know how to manage, I’ve won the king’s heart you know” She responded with a big smile on her face, but frown when she remembered something.
“Your relationship with Omega” Amelia said.
“We are now dating, i will talk to him” Maya said. “Really? You didn’t tell me aboutit, it’s not fair” Amelia mumbled.
“I’m sorry, I thought it wasn’t necessary. We are still in the palace” Maya said and shrugged her shoulders. “Alright..am happy for you” Amelia said with a smile.. “So are you going to see them…your brother. It seems like you have forgotten about that young man” Amelia said.
“Nah, i haven’t forgotten him….” She replied with a smile. “Alright i will talk to the king, you will be leaving tomorrow morning” Amelia said.
“Am gonna miss you” Maya muttered. “I will miss you too. Com’on give me a hug” She said, they hugged. He was standing at the door, he listened to their conversation and smiled as they argued. She is kind and cares so about other, but not herself. He knocked on the door and opened it himself, he walked in. “Good evening your highness” Maya greeted. “Good evening my lord” Amelia greeted with a smile.
“Good evening Maya” “Good evening princess Amelia” He responded with a smile written on his face. “I will take my leave now” Maya said.
“Why? Because am here” He said, she looked at Amelia and muttered “No your highness, i was about to leave before you came” She said, he knows that she is lying, she only wants to give them some privacy. “Alright thanks you can leave now” He said with a smile, she smiled and walked out of the room, he watched her as she keeps playing with her fingers, she good at that. A smile cross his face.
