After Amelia and Richard returned to the palace, they went to their parents grave and dropped flowers in it after saying a few words. Imagine losing, Father, mother, brother and sister in law same year. It’s sad right? That’s exactly what happened to Amelia and Richard.
That night the queen, her nephew and Ms Mirabel assembled at the dinning room, the maids served them and they ate to their satisfaction.
After eating the queen went back to her room. She sat on the bed thinking about her life and how her relationship with Walter ended.
FLASHBACK
Amelia came to the canteen where Walter was, she didn’t know much about the place so when Walter saw her. He asked the waiter to bring her here, she gladly followed the waiter.
“Hi babe..” Amelia said, with a smile. “Hi. How are you doing?” He replied and sip from the glass.
“I’m good and you.” She replied and some minutes later the waiter came around, she placed an ordered and the waiter left to bring the food she’d request for. He came back with the food and Amelia began eating, she looked at Walter and why he’s not eating.
“What’s wrong with you? You called me here and now you’re not ordering for something.” She said,.
“Are you okay?” She asked, looking at him. “I’m not okay. Amelia let’s end this relationship..”
“What? Why? I mean we love each other right..Amelia even a blind person could see that you don’t love me. Your mouth is saying a different thing, while your eyes and your mind is saying a different thing. I know you still love him, let’s stop decisiv ourselves..” Walter said.
“Okay. What’s the meaning of all these, because i don’t really understand who you’re talking about?”
“Henderson is the one am talking about, you’re in love with him. You always mumble his name while your eyes are closed..” He said, pissed off.
“What are you talking about? I don’t even know that something like that was happening..” She defended.
“Okay, when you pick up my calls, whose name did you call first?” He asked, she became mute. “You see, it’s exactly what am saying. You’re still in love with him..I’m not mad at you okay, I just want to let go of you. You deserve someone better and he’s the one.” Walter said, calmly.
“You are right. I still love him, but I can’t have him back. He’s married.” Amelia said.
“You can. He is yours.” Walter said, she nods. “Actually there’s this girl that i have been seeing. Uhm, she’s beautiful and cool..”
“So where is she staying? Introduce her to me, I really want to see her.” Amelia said, smiling.
“Trust me, I will bring her to your palace.” Walter said, smiling. “I’m sorry for faking along. I’m really sorry…” Amelia said.
“It’s okay…I understand, especially when the king told me that only man can control you…I know he was talking about himself.” Walter said, smiling.
“He said that to you?”
He nods and muttered, “Yeah..”. “You guys must be cool together..” She said. “I can’t believe he said all that to him.”
“What else did he say?” Amelia asked, looking at him. “Well, nothing else. But you have to go back to that man..” Walter said, laughing. “Oh please..” Amelia mumbled.
BACK TO PRESENT
“Oh goodness… I have to go back to him, but how. I mean i saw him today and I couldn’t say a hi to him, oh..gosh i was so mean..'” She said to herself.
“How do I even talk to him? It’s been two years now. He might be thinking that am heartless, but am not..I just..oh goodness am confused..” She said and sighed.
Richard walked in without knocking, she looked at him and sighed. He knew the reason why she did that. “Okay, am sorry..I heard something that’s why I came in like that..” He dropped the words one by one.
“Oh my goodness, was I too loud?” She asked herself and then glance at him again, “It’s okay, come sit on the bed.” She mumbled tapping the bed, he forward and sat on the bed.
“Why did you talk to him?” Richard asked, she knew he was going to ask questions. “Well, he’s a married man.’ She stammered.
“Oh really. It’s okay. But that is not a good reason not to talk to him.” Richard said. “Okay..'” She surrender. “It won’t happen again, I promise.” She replied.
“Good..” He replied.
Richard told Amelia that he will be present for the celebration, though the late king Grayson was their uncle. He was also an enemy, a ki||er and a ruthless leader.
“Well, I got an invitation from the palace. So we will be there tomorrow.” She replied.
Julian returned to the palace very early in the morning, for the celebration. She heard what happened in the palace last night. While she was preparing for the celebration, the king Henderson went to the dudgeon and ordered the guards to release the man who tried to end his life again.
The guards did exactly as he said, the king then received the greatest shock of his life. He staggered back a little and ran his hands on his hair.
“You?” Henderson said, shocked. Jefferson lowered his head in disgrace, Henderson ran his hands on his hair.
“So it was you, all these while. You’ve been the one thr_@tened and trying to ki|| me, why? Why are you trying to ki|| me?” Henderson yelled at him.

Jefferson didn’t say anything to him, the king left the room. He was walking around the room, when his grandma came in.
“Are you okay? You look worried.” She said, he turned and saw her standing. He didn’t know when she entered, she asked her to sit down.
“I’m fine, granny. Thank you for being there and here for me.” Henderson said, softly. “Oh my puppy… What’s that in your eyes?” She said and wiped his tears. “Are you okay?” She asked.
He nods his head and place his head on her laps and mumbled, “I’m fine…” She sighed softly.
12PM
People were coming in for the celebration, everyone was seated and waiting for the king to come.
King Henderson walked into the large with his personal bodyguard and the his council following him, everyone stood up as the king came in. He asked them to sit down, as the celebration were ongoing the councils began whispering to themselves and also wondering why the prime minister is not yet here.
“Your majesty. Where’s the prime minister? He’s not yet here.” One of the minister asked.
“He will be here soon.” He said and ordered the guards to bring him, the royal guards brought the prime minister to the large hall. Everyone in the hall gasps and started whispering among themselves. The noisee were becoming too much.
Amelia and Richard glance at each other and also wonder what’s happening.
“Silence everyone.” The king ordered, the hall became quiet. “Yeah, I know everyone in this hall is surprise, so I am. I still find it difficult to understand why the prime minister wants to ki|| me. And i believe that there are a lot of things, a lot of secrets that are hidden.” Henderson said.
Jefferson knelt before the king and everyone in the hall glare at him. “It all started when the late king Harry was still alive, we were friends. But he took what belongs to me, he got married to her. Your mother, she gladly said it to my face that she doesn’t love me. But I was so jealous, that was when I began making my plans. I ki||ed Harry, I impersonated Grayson because I know he was an enemy of yours and i was the one who did that unlawful act to your mother. I watched you as you grow and take the kingdom, I wanted to end everything that I started but unfortunately it didn’t go well..I poisoned you and fortunately Amelia was there, she rushed you to the hospital, but I didn’t end there i came up with another plan to make sure everything will be over. I ki||ed your unborn child, you should have known that her miscarriage wasn’t ordinary and I was the unknown that has been thr_@tening the queen,I thr_@tened to ki|| you and her nephew if she doesn’t leave you. She left and that’s why I brought my daughter that you will marry her, which you did.
And again last night, I tried to poison you again… I’m sorry your majesty..” Jefferson said.
Henderson looked at Amelia and then his grandma, everyone in the hall kept glaring at each and whispering, the noise was too much Henderson ordered them to be quiet.
“Jefferson, I trusted you just like my father did. You ki||ed him and my mother because of nothing, she didn’t love you and you went on to live with that hatred towards my father.
You’re selfish and heartless. Punished someone else for nothing..
Because you’ve done something like this, you are hereby sentence to death by hanging.
For murdering 3 people
And for attempted murder
For blackmailing..” Henderson said.
“How could you do this father?” Julian break down in tears. “You’ve brought shame and disgrace upon your family..” His wife said..
“From now on, your family are banished from Rome. Naples and Milan, who do ever sees them. Will bring them to the palace and they will be hang..”
“Your majesty, please. Don’t something like this, let me bear my own sins. Please let me carry my burden.” Jefferson said.
“I’ve spoken.” Henderson said and turn his back on him, the royal guards carried back to the prison.
“Thank you everyone for coming. I apologize for all these things,it wasn’t the way I planned it but the truth has to be out.. He is the one behind all these evil things that happened to my family….” The king said and left.
Almost the celebration was over, everyone left and couldn’t believe that someone liked Jefferson would do something like that. The councils came and sympathise with him before leaving. The only persons in the palace was the queen, her brother. Maya and Ethan.
“You should go to him, he needs you now.” Maya whispered to Amelia. She sighed heavily and replied, “What if he doesn’t want me again?”
“Amelia,com’on why won’t he want you. I mean he knows what happened, you were thr_@tened by the prime minister.. Don’t think of anything just go back to him..”
“She’s right my dear. He needs you.” Miranda said. Amelia looked Miranda and apologized for leaving like that.
She went to his room, but couldn’t find him there. She went to garden and luckily he was there drinking and smoking, she coughed to make it know to him that she is here. He only glance at her and puff the smoke and equally drink from the bottle. She doesn’t like him smoking, but she took the courage and sat close to him.
“This is wrong…” She muttered and collected the bottle from him, Stop acting like you care…” He said.
“I’m not acting my lord, but I do care about you.” She replied. “I wanna be alone..” He said and collected the bottle from her, but dragged it from his hand and mumbled, “I don’t want to leave you alone again..” She said and empty the content on the floor.
