Amelia slept off, after having a little conversation with Henderson. It wasn’t up to two hours, when she slept off. She was calling her, mother. “Mom, mom. I still love you mom. Please don’t leave me..”
“No…” She yelled and quickly woke up, breathing heavily. Henderson rushed to her. “Please tell her not to leave me alone. Mom… Babe, it’s me. It’s Henderson..” She kept repeating. She wasn’t listening to what he was saying. “Babe. Amelia, stop this..” He yelled and immediately, she became quiet and her body was shaking in fear and tears flowing. He hugged her and pat her back, softly.
“She came to me.” She said. “It’s okay honey. It’s just a dream. Okay. Mom loves you, okay.” He said and kiss her hair.
“She came to me.” She mumbled, in a shaky voice. “It’s just a dream. Even if mom comes, it means she loves you. And all I could say is that, it’s your past that you’re dreaming of. You had a nightmare. But don’t worry about here for you.” He assured and helped her lay on the bed, she holding shirt tightly. “I’m here.” He said and she nods.
THE NEXT MORNING
Henderson and had a discussion about what happened last night. He decided to stay with her, one more day. To be sure that she’s okay, before he leaves. He left her bedroom, when the maids came in. They washed her up and dressed her up. “You can leave now.” She mumbled, they bow and left.
Henderson wasn’t far, a loud scream came from her bedroom. Henderson ran into the room and saw her in a different condition.
“Babe…..” She called, loudly.
Amelia got down from the bed, she stared at her thighs. It was filled with blood. She screamed and called the king, she told him what had happened to her He rushed to her. He saw it with his eyes. She was bleeding. S
It’s seven months pregnancy and she has two months to go. He knows that she has been through a lot. She carried her in bridal style. She didn’t stop crying and asking God to save her and her child.
“Oh God please save my baby”
“Don’t worry honey. Our baby will be safe okay” “Please just be calm” He kept saying.
“Amelia wake up! The ambulance is here, keep your eyes open please.” She heard Henderson said tapping me on my cheeks as she tried staying awake.
She was carried into the ambulance and I felt another person with me, as she kept encouraging me to be strong. The hospital was indeed very far from the palace and Henderson was very scared that something bad might happen to her.
“Please stay with me, sweetheart. We are almost there.”
“Are we not there yet? She asked.
“Don’t worry very soon.” The king replied and anxiously told the driver to hurry up. When the pressure was too much on him while my waist was on fire.
“Hey! Hey! God, this is too much for me to bear.” She said holding the female nurse tight when the pains became unbearable.
“Amelia, please we are almost there.” He said, if not that he’s a man he would have cried. Seeing her like this made him more sad and frustrated.
“Its coming, its coming out. Oh goodness please help me.” She cried out and the nurse on the other side, was trying to calm her down but it was all in vain. Being a first time mom, it’s really hard to calm her down. Henderson shouted on the driver to fast.
“She’s about to give birth” The nurse said. “Baby please just hold on for me. For your baby. We are almost there.”
IN THE HOSPITAL
“She’s so weak” The doctor said, sadly as Henderson entered the ward. He looked around for the baby, but he couldn’t find him in the room.
“What happened? Where’s my son? Where’s my child? He asked, looking their faces. The doctor was scared to say it, to his face.
“Please tell me what happened to him.” He said and glance at Amelia, who was deep asleep.
“I’m sorry, your majesty. She had a miscarriage, this is worst case I have came across since my whole life, working.” The doctor said, sadly. He moved back a little bit and tears dropped off his eyes.
“No, No. This can’t be happening.” He stammered, in shock. “I’m sorry for your loss.” He said. “What about her? How’s she doing?”
“She’s just weak and needs some rest.” He said and left the ward, the nurse followed him.

Daniel walked into the ward and greeted Saanvi, who was looking at the window with sadness written allover her face. She had a feeling that something bad has happened, but can’t figure out where.
“Hey!” He muttered and touched her right shoulder. She turned and looked at him. “I have been standing here for the past five minutes. You looked worried and sad.” He muttered and removed his hand from her shoulder.
“It’s non of your business. Stop trying to be nice here. Stop trying to be nice to me, there’s nothing good about you. Nothing.” She mumbled.
He sighed softly and walked closer to her, staring directly in her face. But she wasn’t looking at him, she doesn’t give a f-__-k about him.
“I will always say this, you have every right to be angry with me. You can punish me if you want,but not this way. I know I fúcked up, I messed up everything. But please am sorry.”
Looked at him and pushed him on his chest, hardly. He moved back, he wasn’t expecting a woman with an injury to have such strength. “Sorry? Huh? What are you sorry about? Tell me. Tell me.
Sorry about the fact that you left after getting married to me. Are you sorry about the fact that you fúçk me. Huh? “Don’t you dare touch me with your dirty hands. I did a lot of $h|t, before of you. I lived a useless life all because of you.” She mumbled and walk herself to the bed, she sat down staring at window. Hearing all these, it was difficult for him to leave the ward. He sat on the sofa, staring at her even though she was not looking at him.
HOURS LATER
Daniel left the hospital, he returned home on time and his daughter was there and she welcomed him. “How was your day?” She mumbled.
“All good. And yours?” He replied. “Cool..” He replied, tiredly and went his bedroom. He freshen up and came down for dinning, which was prepared by his mom. “Home made food.” He muttered, rubbing both hands.
“Yeahhh. And I know that you will like it. Bethel told me, that you do cook.” His mom said, dishing the food. “Yeah, just doing everything a good father will do for his daughter.” He replied.
“That’s good and guess what.” She mumbled, smiling. “What?”
“She was in the kitchen with me, asking me a lot of questions. She is so smart and a cute little girl.”
“Mom, did you just say little. This girl acts and talks like an adult, sometimes I wonder why….” He paused and fold his lips. “Son, you’re not to be blamed. It wasn’t her fault also, she didn’t mean to leave her child.” His mom said. He sighed softly. He stood up and called his daughter, who was in the living room watching a cartoon. “But dad…. Not now.”
“Come eat, stop being stubborn.” He almost raised his voice, but he was able to comfort himself. She dropped the remote and followed him.
“So dad what happened at the hospital today? You look tired.” Bethel said. “Thanks for asking, am good. Remember your table manner, don’t talk while eating.” He replied.
“Oh, gosh. I was….” He looked at her, making her paused and faced her meal. “Granny, I love your food. Delicious. Not like his own meal.” She mumbled to make him jealous. Daniel smiled, while staring.
“Oh really! Am not saying that mom’s meal is bad. It’s delicious. But wait, you mean my food ain’t good.”
“Yeahhh.” She replied and looked away. “Seriously, no problem. Mom is gonna leave and you will tell me who will cook for you. Me or mom.”
“If am hungry, I will call my granny. So you go call yours.” She snapped. “Honey…” His mom said, referring to her grand child.
“Enough of the talking, let’s eat. Your food is getting cold. And you should not talk while eating. And one more thing, don’t talk to your dad like that.” His mom said.. “I’m sorry dad.” Bethel mumbled.
“It’s okay, Honey. Please eat your food.” Daniel said. After having their dinner, Bethel went to the living room and continued watching the cartoon. “Beauty and the beast, Is one of my best cartoon.” Bethel mumbled.
“Really, that’s one of my favorites too.” He replied. “Oh, do you have any beautiful girls on your mind?” She asked, suddenly.
“Uhmm, actually….Not… Honey com’on let’s go to your room, it’s late.” Daniel’s mom said. He thanked God that his mom, intervened. He was not expecting that question from her. Her granny carried her to her room and helped her lay on the bed. “Bed time story.”
“No. I just wanna pray and then go to sleep.” She mumbled. “Okay, I will pray.”
“No, I will pray. In Jesus Name, lord I thank you for today. I’m making this prayer request for you to give my dad another woman, that will love him and I and my granny too.” She prayed and opened her eyes. “You didn’t say Amen to my prayers.”
“I’m sorry honey, you’re too sweet. Amen to your prayers and I believe that God will answer your prayers.”
“Alright, good night. Granny I love you and daddy.” She mumbled and her grandma covered her with the duvet, she kissed her forehead and turned off the light, before leaving.
She went to her son’s bedroom, he was staring at the window when she walked into the room. He glanced at her and then to the window, she moved closer to him. “You look worried.” She mumbled. He glanced at her again and this time he sigh, heavily.
“What’s the matter?” She asked. He didn’t say a word, “Are you worried about her? It was never her will to leave you and the child.” His mom said.
“Mom, it’s not about her. It’s Nora. I met her again, at the mall and some days later she was at the hospital.” He mumbled and his mom was surprised and what happened to her.
