EPISODE FOURTEEN (14)
Dorcas was shaking like a secondary school
student due to fear. I was waiting for the female
figure to come in so that I will see who she was.
It can’t be Ella because she couldn’t make it due
to her pregnancy. I was still wondering who it
was, Dorcas started begging that the person
should not report us.
I said to myself why is Dorcas so scared have
she forgotten she is no a university student.
The figure came in. It was our HOD. She looked
at us and said,
“You people are final year students can’t you
guys wait till you go back to school or rather
book a room and do this usel*ess act”
I was just staring at the woman.
Docars begged,
“We are sorry ma it won’t happen again”
The HOD replied,
“you people disgust me and you Dorcas out now
go back to your room you will hear from me
once school resumes”
Dorcas ran out of the toilet and went straight to
her room.
Mrs. Aishat, walked up to me and said,
“Hardguy are you this cheap? In a resort’s toilet
am ashamed of you”
I looked at her and replied,
” it wasn’t intentional. It was a mistake but I will
try and avoid it”
She laughed and said,
” A mistake you say? Was knacking my
assistant also a mistake?”
I was shocked but still kept my cool and asked,
” your assistant? I don’t know what you are
talking about”
She replied,
“deny it all you can but I know that you had
been sleeping with Ella since your 100level”
I denied the allegations like a saint who doesn’t
even who Ella was. Mrs. Aishat told me she
knew about my knackativities with Ella two
days after matriculation.
Ella left her phone in the HOD’s office. The HOD
went through our chats and she read where Ella
was praising the dragon sword.
I was numb after she finished. I couldn’t defend
myself anymore I wanted to go leave when she
stopped me and locked the door.
She walked to were I was and said,
“I would love to see what Ella has been praising
if possible have a taste of it”I wasn’t expecting
that from her it came to me as a shock because
she dresses in decent manner covering herself.
She was always on long gowns or a wrapper.
Mrs. Aishat was a widow. Her husband died five
years ago. A year before I got admitted in to the
school.
Even though she was in her early forties she
was still looking young like Kate Henshaw. She
was slim and wasn’t endowed at all.
I told her that I respect her alot and I won’t want
anything of such to come between us. She
wasn’t buying it so I said,
” Ma you are like a mother to me and it won’t be
nice if we indulge in such an abomination”
I walked passed her opened the door. I was
some steps away from the rest room I heard her
saying,
“We will see how you will graduate from this
department”
The excursion went well aside the fact that Mrs.
Aishat do pick on me at any chance she got.
Dorcas tried to avoid me but unluckily for her I
met her one evening while coming back from
the cafeteria.
We talked and I assured her that she shouldn’t
be scared that nothing will happen. I told her I
will take care of everything.
She asked,
” You will take care of it by pipping her also
Right?”
The question wasn’t call for. It got me angry
and I walked out on her.
We finished the excursion and we were back
home. We were given a week to rest and prepare
for our forth coming examination.
Maria called to check up on me. She was
worried on why I ghosted her for a long time.
I replied,
” I don’t want problems with your husband he
has warned me and I don’t want to fall into his
traps”
she replied,
” but we aren’t doing anything yet. You are just a
young guy I care for nothing aside that for now.
I want you to come over to my shop I got you a
new phone as promised and some goodies”
I replied,
” hope your husband won’t be in the shop”
she replied laughing,
” that one, he has travelled back so you got
nothing to worry about”
I dressed and headed to her shop, she bought
me a brand new iPhone Xmas and told me to
pick three shirts, two trousers and a pair of shoe
of my choice. She also bought food stuffs for
me.
She told her driver to take me back home and
any other place I would want to go.
On our way back home I had a conversation
with the driver. He initiated the conversation
with,
” oga you are enjoying madam very well just be
careful not to fall in her trap”
I asked,
” what do you mean by trap”
he replied,
” I don’t want to sound like a talkertive but
madam won’t be happy if you have a girlfriend”
I laughed and replied,
” John don’t worry am not dating your madam
so no need to be worriedHe laughed,
” my madam won’t even date you. If she tried it
my boss will ki*ll you and Madam”
He kept on talking about different things but I
wasn’t paying attention because I know that I
was doing nothing wrong.
I and Cynthia planned on visiting Chidi. I took
my gifts to the house. Cynthia was already
waiting for me so we just drove to the prison.
She was teasing me on our way,
” Hardguy my sweet fine boy, better be careful
before you end up like Chidi. So that I won’t
have to be visiting you once in a while”
I fired back,
” mine will be better bitter leaf Cynthia. You
should also be careful before someone’s wife
will pour you hot water or acid for sleeping with
her husband or boyfriend and all this your
beauty will fade away”
she laughed and said,
” and who said that am sleeping with anybody.
Fine boy am a Virgin till my wedding night”
We kept on Banting till we got to the prison. We
were allowed to meet Chidi after passing
through many procedures.
My guy Chidi came out and I felt like crying. He
was looking so rough, dark, dirty, malnourished
and unkept.
We gave him the food we brought for him he
devoured the food and started crying.
I asked,
” guy how did you end up here”
he replied,
“I met the woman at the mall she promised me
500k if I can pipe well. I accepted to followed
her to a hotel. we never knew her husband was
stalking us. We entered and haven’t even started
anything when the man appread he was a
major in the military he came with his boys they
didn’t even allow me to explain myself they just
bundled me to this place”
I felt really sorry for him that fresh dude now
looking like a homeless individual.
I asked,
“what’s the way out”
he replied,
“it was last week the court granted me bail of
400k and I have used all my savings to pay the
lawyers so presently I don’t know what to do”
I told him I and Precious will look into the matter
and know how to help him out. we promised to
be back next week.
He thanked us and the prison Warden came to
inform us that our time was up he was taken
back to his cell.
On our way back Cynthia looked and me and
said,
“we need to seriously do something to take him
out of that place it’s not a healthy place Chidi”
I replied and teased her,
” that’s true that place is very rough but I don’t
understand the sudden care and concern are
you already falling for Chidi”
She ignored me and refused to reply. I got a call
from Dr. Prisca,
phone conversation:
prisca: Hardguy how far
Hardguy: am good doctor how are you
Prisca: truth be told am not fine can you come
over to my house am having fever.
Hardguy: send your address
