Harmonie phoned Hanley, asking her to come along with Ace to the coffee shop they always meet. She was with Jefferson patiently waiting for them to show up.
” Do you mind for something?” The waiter asked with the menu book in his hand.
” No, thanks. I’m actually waiting for someone.” She grinned at him.
” Okay.” He left.
Jefferson was busy with his cellphone, surfing through the internet while Harmonie tapped her fingers continually on the table.
He looked at her fingers, then at her. ” You can just call them on phone and tell them what you wanna tell them.” He said.
” No, I want them here.”
She continued drumming the table, her eyes staring at both outside and the entrance door at the same time.
She looking at this very particular car, it resembles that of Ace’s car. ” I think they are here.” She said, eyes fixed at the car.
Jefferson looked outside too, then back at his phone. Her eyes trailed with them as they walked into the coffee shop.
She offered a smile to Hanley who returned it. ” Thanks for coming.”
Jefferson shook hands with Ace, ” Sorry for keeping you guys waiting.” He apologized, making himself comfortable on the chair.
” So, you said you wanna tell us something, what is it?” Hanley asked.
” It’s about Mr Anderson. ” She replied.
” You met him? ” She asked surprised.
” Not physically, he appeared to my dream.” She replied.
” What did he say?” Ace asked.
” He said he was ready for the both of you. ” Glaring at both Ace and Jefferson. ” He said he isn’t scared on wh@ťěver you two are up to, he is ready. He showed me a thousand of lycans who have devoted their lives to fight alongside with him. ”
Jefferson smiled. ” That bastard haven’t learned yet. He seriously wants a war? ” He chuckled, then looked at Ace. ” How many army do you have?” He asked.
” Eight hundred thousand and fifty. Is yours enough too?” He asked back.
” Close to a million. ”
” I think with our armies joined together we can defeat him. He wanna play smart, we will show him smartness. Can we have a word outside? ”
” Sure. ” They both went out, leaving the two of them to occupy the spaces.
They looked out of the window. ” What do you think they are talking about?” Harmonie asked.
” I wish I know. ” Looks at each other. ” What now? ”
” What now? ” She asked back.
” I don’t know, I’m asking you.”
” I think we should keep staring at ourselves since that’s the only thing we can do right now. They have got something important to say, we should probably find ours to talk about. ”
” So, what are we gonna talk about? ” She asked.
” About us. ”
Hanley rose an eyebrow at her. ” What about us?” She asked.
Harmonie shrugged. ” The fact that we are both mated to a wolf and a Lycan. How do you feel to have a child for him? ”
” Well, it feels good. ” She scoffed, smiling. ” You just don’t know how much I do want to have a child for him. I can’t even wait anymore. ”
Harmonie smiled warmly. ” I’m happy for you. ” She sighed. ” I just hope this will all end peacefully. Even if there have to be a war to end this, I wish none of them dies trying to save the world.
Honestly, I’ve been scared since the day I found out about fate. Not scared of being mated to him but, I don’t know… I just feel scared. ” She blinked back the tears which thr_@tened to fall.
” Why are you scared? ” Hanley asked her.
” I don’t know. ” She swallowed hard.
” Do you still hear those voices?”
” Not anymore. I mean, since I accepted to be his mate. ”
” Then what scares you? ” She asked, worried.
” I feel like I’m scared of everything. I’m scared of losing the people I love. I’m scared… ” She stammered. ” I’m scared of dying. ”
” Hey, no one is gonna die, okay? Not even you. But why would you say that? ”
” I… I.. ” she stammered.
” You had a dream? ”
She shook her head, staring out of the window towards Ace and Jefferson’s direction. ” I haven’t, not yet.”
Hanley was bothered why Harmonie would say such a thing. Does it mean that one of them will die?
No. She wasn’t ready to lose anyone, especially Ace and Harmonie.
