**REVEAL THE TRUTH**

“Trigger? Frida bodyguard?” Lucifer asked with
intense and Trigger nod.

*****
Lucifer turned to Oscar with an intense gaze
and asked if Trigger, Frida’s bodyguard. Oscar
nodded in response, confirming Lucifer’s
suspicion.

“But there’s something you will h@ťě to know,”
Oscar said, his face filled with concern.

Carol clung tightly to Lucifer’s body, as if
sensing the tension in the room. In a hushed
tone, Lucifer signaled Oscar to be quiet by
placing his finger over his lips.

Oscar quickly understood and lowered his head,
acknowledging Lucifer’s request.

Lucifer gently petted Carol, trying to soothe her,
and carefully laid her down, making sure she
was fast asleep. He then followed Oscar outside
the room, eager to learn more.

“What’s that?” Lucifer asked, his voice dripping
with coldness.

“There’s a lot to reveal, and I’m not sure which
one you’d like to hear first,” Oscar explained.

“Anything related to Carol,” Lucifer replied, his
tone filled with concern.

“The Ling Family, specifically Max, was
responsible for Carol’s blindness,” Oscar
revealed, causing Lucifer’s eyes to widen in
shock.

Lucifer’s heart raced as Oscar revealed the
shocking truth about Max’s involvement in
Carol’s blindness. He couldn’t believe what he
was hearing and his anger started to boil. He
wanted to know more, especially about Anne’s
connection to all of this. “Max was behind
Carol’s blindness? Why would he do that?”
Lucifer’s voice turned menacing, as if he was
ready to take revenge.

“Anne told me,” Oscar uttered, and Lucifer
furrowed his brow, trying to recall.

“Anne?” he repeated, and Oscar nodded.

“How did she find out?” Lucifer wondered aloud,
taking a deep breath. “Call Anne,” he instructed.

“I don’t think she’ll answer. She locked herself
up after Prince Rome left. She only had a brief
conversation with me before locking herself up
again,” Oscar explained.

“Why would she lock herself up? Did something
happen that I’m not aware of?” Lucifer asked,
and Oscar shook his head in denial.

“I think I should go after her,” Carol said quietly
from the back, her gaze fixed on a distant point.
Her blue dress was stained with blood, and her
hair was still disheveled, but she retained an
undeniable beauty.

Lucifer turned back and quickly walked to Carol,
his eyes filled with concern. “When did you
wake up?” he asked, giving her a gentle peck on
her forehead.

“The moment you stood beside me,” Carol
replied with a dry smile. She had heard the
conversation from start to finish and knew what
had caused the tension.

“You’re not supposed to be here. Come, let’s go,”
Lucifer said, leading Carol towards the room,
forgetting about Oscar standing there.

Oscar smiled and nodded. “So, Master can be
this caring,” he said, storming out immediately.

Lucifer walked Carol to the bed and gently
placed her down. “Did you feel any pain, I mean,
down here?” he asked, touching Carol’s lower
stomach.

“Yes, I felt a lot of pain, but it’s relieving,” she
answered.

“I’m sorry,” he said, arranging her hair to the
side. “Will you take a bath now?” he asked,
kissing her cheek.

Carol shook her head in denial. She took one of
Lucifer’s hands and caressed it slowly. “Can I
ask you a question? Will you answer me?” she
asked, her voice filled with vulnerability.

“Wh@ťěver you want to ask, I’m here to answer
you,” Lucifer said, his cheeks slightly bulging.

“Frida. Why did you choose me over her?” Carol
asked, struggling to hold back her tears.
Knowing that Frida’s family was the one who
made her blind hurt her pride.

“Lucifer took a deep breath and held Carol’s
hand, gently massaging it. “If you ask me why, I
may not be able to give you a specific answer.
But I do know one thing.my life without you is
meaningless. I can’t even imagine my life
without you. You complete me, you’ve made me
a better man,” Lucifer explained, his voice filled
with sincerity.

“But why me? Why did you fall in love with me?
I mean, you don’t know anything about me. So
why this sudden affection?” Carol asked, tears
streaming down her cheeks.

“I don’t need a reason to love you. Maybe if I
had one, I could stop loving you. That’s why I
chose to love you without any reason. My heart,
my body, and my soul have chosen you. I love
you, Carol. I really do,” Lucifer said, gently
wiping away her tears with his hand. “Do you
love me too?” he asked, his voice filled with
vulnerability.

“Even if I do love you… I can’t see. I want to
touch your face and explore your body. I want to
experience everything together with you. I still
want to go to the stream, to live life with you.
But I can’t see… I feel so useless. I can’t even
bathe for myself,” Carol whimpered, her voice
filled with frustration. Lucifer couldn’t help but
shed a tear as well, feeling the weight of her
words.

“Carol, do you believe me? Do you trust me?”
Lucifer asked, his voice filled with hope.

“Yes, I do. I believe you, but what can you do? I
don’t even know who my family is… I feel so
useless,” Carol cried, her voice growing louder.

“Stop crying. I want to cry too,” Lucifer said,
using his hand to wipe away her tears once
again.

“Wait, hold on! Is this some kind of love triangle
situation? Why did you summon me here when
you’re having a romantic moment with her?”
Anne pouted, getting closer to them.

Lucifer lifted his head and stood up gently.

Anne walked further into the room, sniffing the
air as she went. “What’s that smell?” she asked
as she finally entered the room. “Carol!!” she
shouted and ran towards her.

“Anne,” Carol said, pronouncing her name.

“I’ve missed you,” Anne said, and Carol nodded
in agreement. “I’ve missed you too,” Carol
replied.

They hugged for about a minute before
breaking apart.

Anne’s eyes widened as she noticed the blood
on Carol’s gown. She covered her mouth with
her palm and gasped. “Don’t tell me…” she
started to say, but then looked at Lucifer, who
quickly looked away. “Carol, did you…?” she
trailed off, and Carol gently nodded. “Wow… you
two are incredible!” Anne exclaimed, running
over to Lucifer. “Tell me what I don’t know,” she
asked, her expression serious.

“You already know everything, Anne, maybe
even more than I do,” Lucifer answered.

“I can’t believe this… but why is she crying?”
Anne asked, pouting at Carol.

“You don’t need to know,” Lucifer replied coldly.

“Okay… I guess I’ll go now,” Anne said, turning to
leave. But before she could go, Lucifer grabbed
her arm.

“Did I brought you here to see her?,” he asked.
“Oscar told me something this morning about
Max. How did you know?”

Anne smirked and placed her hand on her chest,
saying, “I know because I know. If you want to
ask something, you have to do it politely. I’m
still angry at you, but I will tell you for the sake
of Carol.” Anne moved closer to Lucifer’s ear
and whispered something, causing Lucifer to
widen her eyes in surprise.

“Don’t be surprised, what I told you now can
make Gwendolyn get angry” Anne said.

“What did you tell him” Carol asked suddenly
and Anne laughed nervously.

“You don’t have to worry Carol but I have
something to tell you” Anne said And walk
closer to the bed. She sat beside Carol and held
her two hand.

“What is it?” Carol asked eagerly.

“You know I promised to help you find your
family?” Anne asked, piquing Carol’s interest.
Carol nodded quickly. “Well, I finally did,” Anne
said.

“Really? You found my family? Who are they?
Have I met them before? Can you tell me their
names?” Carol bombarded her with questions,
but Anne shook her head in denial.

“I can’t tell you that. You’ll see them with your
own eyes once we’re done with the ritual
tomorrow.”

“Ritual? What ritual is that?”

“The ritual to cure your blindness,” Anne
answered.

“You’re going to do the ritual tomorrow? Lucifer,
is this true? Will I be cured tomorrow?”

“So you don’t trust me?” Anne asked sadly.

“No, I trust you. I just wanted to confirm. Lucifer
didn’t mention anything,” Carol replied.

Lucifer shook his head and sat beside her while
Anne stood.

“I promised to cure your blindness, didn’t I?” he
asked, and Carol nodded.

“I can’t promise it will be tomorrow, but I know it
will happen soon,” Lucifer assured her.

“Thank you, Lucifer,” Carol said, her voice filled
with gratitude, as she pulled him into a tight
hug.

“You two are really irritating me,” Anne shouted,
interrupting their moment. Carol reluctantly
released the hug.

“Anne, could you please take care of her? I have
to go somewhere,” Lucifer asked, hoping for her
understanding.

“But you said you could handle her yourself!
You even warned me not to get involved,” Anne
complained in a childish tone.

“Please, it’s a big favor,” Lucifer pleaded, hoping
Anne would agree.

“Where are you going?” Carol asked, holding
onto Lucifer’s hand, her eyes filled with
curiosity.

“I’ll tell you when I come back,” Lucifer replied,
planting a gentle kiss on her forehead before
leaving.
