Anna stared at him unable to close her mouth. She gulped hard and looked at him Curiously. She wanted to know the truth.
He sighed and she cupped his cheeks.
“It’s fine it you are not ready yet” She suggested.
“No..” He was quick to cut her off.
“I will tell you” He says breathing heavily and Anna smiled.
“Actually it’s been hundreds of years since this happened…”
“The demons and vampires were all living peacefully among each other but then someone was jealous of the king. He was the king’s right hand man and that’s Constantine, the one who kidnapped you. Then he revolted against the king and there was a war, a long term war. The demon and Vampires were no longer safe again. Even the king was confused on his to stop the internal crisis but a few years later, every thing and every one became well. Constantine took some of his followers and they went to create their own clan.
And it was that time that the king met his mate. She was extremely beautiful and she was very nice. It didn’t take long for them to fall in love. Her name was Elena. The king practically doted on her , he was madly in love with her and soon she was pregnant with the king’s child.
However another crises came up and witches attacked the kingdom again but then the king managed to capture most of their reputable leaders. Including their princess.
He jailed them for some time and as usual, he did what was right by ki||ing them all arousing the wrath of their Queen.
Unknown to the king, Constantine and the witch queen had some thing delicate and dangerous planned for him since Constantine knew his every weakness but the one thing the king couldn’t believe was that his mate sold him out.
She never loved him and much more to his surprise, she ki||ed their baby. On a fateful day, a deadly war began and every one was fighting for their lives and there she saw his mate there with his enemies, the demons and the witches.
He couldn’t believe his eyes that instant and was even more heartbroken when she told him that she had ki||ed their baby because she never wanted to have any thing to do with him. The king for the very first time felt weak in his life and it had been long known that he was immortal possessing different kind of powers and abilities but the only thing that could ki|| the king was an ancient sacred dagger and the only person that knew about was his mate and Leonel the seer.
But then there in the war, the table turned and Constantine ki||ed Elena in front of the king and before dying. She pleaded and asked for forgiveness from the king.
The king wept bitterly. He had never imagined losing her so early in life. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her but then the unthinkable happened. The king was stabbed with the ancient dagger but then the dagger only seemed to weaken the hell out of him and to their surprise, the king didn’t die and it was then that the witch queen placed a curse on the king that it was then the Witch Queen placed a curse on the king.
She curses him that he would be in a deep sleep until the birth of his new mate which probably will be ten thousand years later and then he would never feel any attraction or any mate bond towards him but they will both feel each other’s pains”
Axel paused and stared into her eyes. Her eyes were already glistening with tears.
“I woke up 21 years ago, on the day you were born Annabelle” He concluded and she sighed. The tears that were holding back fell.
“I’m sorry, I’m really sorry you had to go through all these..” She cried and Axel pulled her closer to him and hugged her tightly.
