“Arrrggghh” Echo screamed as the wild humongous animal continued to drag her in.
The animal removed its teeth from her leg and then came in front of her licking her face. The tongue was so big as it was continuously licking her face.
Echo had to caress its fur for it to stop. Then the animal sat down staring at her as she stood up holding her chest. She was so scared that the animal would eat her.
The animal looked like a wolf from its fur to its face and structure. Then she wondered what a wild animal like this would be doing here.
The wolf started licking her feet while staring up at her and Echo understood the message.
The wolf was looking for a playmate maybe that was why it dragged her in. She smiled before bending to its height.
She didn’t even bend that much because it was almost the same height as her. That would explain how big the animal is.
Echo began rubbing it’s fur, talking to the wolf like it could hear her.
“Awwn your black fur is so smooth ” Echo complimented. The wolf turned on its belly and she scratched it while the wolf released soft sounds enjoying what Echo was doing to it.
“What should I name you….. Hmmm….. Lemme think” She said and placed her index finger on her lips.
“Why don’t we call you Starlight cause your dark color is so beautiful under the stars” Echo said and the wolf growled and licked her face and she smiled. Maybe the wolf likes its new name.
“What are you even doing in this castle. None of them looks like a pet type” Echo said and sighed.
“You must be hungry, let’s go look for something for you to eat” Echo said and motioned for it to follow her.
The wolf followed her obediently and luckily she found her way back to the main part of the Castle.
She was even wondering if they had a kitchen in here. Everything about them seemed so lonely and reserved. She thought.
She followed her instincts moving about and few places were familiar to her because Jonathan took her there during their tour.
It was also surprising to Echo how Starlight followed her everywhere she was going. It was have been lonely all these while. But now that she’s here, it would change.
After what seemed like eternity, they finally located a small room that looked like a kitchen but it was full of dusts and cobwebs. It was like it was unused.
Echo sighed. What does she expects from them. She closed her eyes and then she started muttering some words.
In a matter of minutes, the whole kitchen turned colourful. It became extra neat. Everything in its order.
The kitchen even had scent of fresh flowers and there were petals of flower on the floor.
Echo smiled and giggled happily at what she did. It was an amazing work to her. Now it was looking colourful and bright unlike its former state.
She entered the kitchen fully as Starlight followed her in. Being a lover of cooking, she began making different delicacies for Starlight and her.
Within half an hour, Echo was done with what she was making and the wonderful aroma filled the whole kitchen.
She took a plate and served for the wolf who already brought its tongue out waiting to eat what Echo prepared.
She set the food on the floor and Starlight digged in hungrily. She smiled before eating from her own potion of the food.
When they were both done, she did the dishes and was about to leave the kitchen when she heard a deep voice that scared the living hell outta her.
“What are you doing? ” Echo looked up to see a pair of hazel eyes that was capable of piercing deep into her soul.
It was like her soul left her and she was like a living dead now. She didn’t even know if she should just disappear.
His face was in a deep frown and seeing the bright colors of the kitchen made the frown to deepen.
“Are you deaf, I asked what are you doing here? “Leroy asked again and it was like Echo was finding the voice she would use to speak up.
She could even look up to his gaze because of of the cold yet dangerous aura emanating from him. His presence was scaring the deep $h|t outta her.
“I…. Ummm… Was trying..to..to..to”. She couldn’t even finish her words. She didn’t even know what to reply. He was making her totally uncomfortable.
The next that happened made Echo surprised was when the wolf barked from her back and then jumped on Leroy body.
Echo’s eyes widened. What does it knows it was doing. He was definitely going to slaughter it. She was even too scared to speak up.
Her eyes just kept widening from below when he brought his hands and caressed the Wolf fur and the wolf was jumping happily at his presence.
Echo shook her head consecutively, let it not be what she was thinking. Starlight was Leroy’s pet.
She couldn’t even imagine someone like him having a pet. It was really surprising to her.
His words brought her back to reality,
“I guess you’re not dumb. I don’t even know what Jonathan would be doing with someone like you. You aren’t even up to his taste” Those words were like an arrow piercing deep into her heart.
Someone like her!
She wasn’t up to his taste!
What does he presumes her to be. A classless girl. She refuses to succumbs to such words.
“Hey Mr. Frowny face or wh@Ε₯Δver you call yourself. I Know your life is full of misfortunes but don’t blame it all on me. I’m not someone you can talk to anyhow. I have my pride and I love to stick to it” Echo said her expression so bold.
She was pointing her index finger at him as she said all those. It was like all the fear had left her when she said those.
Meanwhile, Leroy stared at the little bee in front of him that was staring up at him. He chuckled inwardly at her new sudden behavior.
She really had guts!
“I see you really have guts, interesting” Leroy said and his lips curved into a smirk.
His face turned back expressionless in a second before saying, “I don’t care who you are and I don’t want you roaming about, your presence sucks” He said and then turned his back on her leaving as Starlight followed him.
Echo still stayed rooted on her spot. He was a devil indeed.
She never really tried to judge him when Reine was condemning her, well it wasn’t only her. It was everyone in the kingdom.
She always tried to see the good sides of a person but seems he doesn’t really have a good side.
He’s just like the way everyone sees him to be. She sighed before going back to the room waiting for Jonathan to come back.
<FAIRY LAND**SPARKLE LAKES>
“Pssst” Sebastian whispered from the slightly opened door and what Glenda was trying to do failed and she groaned.
“What’s going on Glenda, why are you making so many mistakes. This isn’t like you” Her tutor complained and Glenda used a side eye to glare at Sebastian who was grinning silently.
“That’s what you’ve been saying and I am tired of hearing that. Maybe you’re not just ready today. Good Day” Her tutor said angrily and packed all that she came with and left.
Sebastian came out from his hiding spot and he started laughing boisterously.
Glenda glared at him but he didn’t even care he was laughing till he was satisfied.
“Why are you doing this? You’re making me loose focus and Godmother would be so angry” She said folding her hands under her small B-__-bs.
“Who cares as long as I get to see you frown” Sebastian said and she glared at him.
“So you love seeing me mad”
“Yeah your frowny face makes you looks so cute” He said and Glenda cheeks turned light pink.
Was she blushing right now!
“My Princess, Crown Prince Alan is here to see you” A maid announced from outside and the two friends faces changed.
But for different reasons. Sebastian never liked Alan and he h@Ε₯Δd seeing him around Glenda.
While Glenda never wanted to marry him. He was always flirting with her all the time and telling her how he would treasure her if she becomes his wife but she knew it was all fake. He was trying to impress her.
Glenda grumbled and turned to leave but Sebastian held her hand and she turned to him.
“What are you doing?” She asked.
“I’m stopping you from going to him” He replied and then she looked at him confused at his behavior.
“Why???” She found herself asking again.
“Because I h@Ε₯Δ seeing him around you” Sebastian said his voice stern.
