A BRIDGE**
Yasmin sighed out for the umpteenth time as she stared at the bright stars in the sky
“Even the stars have partners,I’m the only single person in the whole world” She mumbled
“Are you sure?” A voice asked beside her but she was too carried away
“I’m so sure” She mumbled,her eyes not leaving the stars
“Then you’re dumb” The voice said again
“Yeah I’m dumb” Yasmin muttered
She suddenly gasped as if she came back to reality,she turned to the voice and her eyes widened when she saw Kai resting on the bridge too.
“Prince Charming?” Yasmin called and Kai looked at her
“Prince what?” He asked
Yasmin cleared her throat and looked away
‘I can’t disgrace myself’ she said inwardly
“Wow!! It was you!” Kai suddenly said and Yasmin faced him
“You know me?” She grinned,hoping he remembered their first meeting at the palace
“Of course,it was you who was screaming and calling for your prince charming. Wow,do I suddenly look like him tonight?” Kai teased
“Of course not,how can a guy who has a girlfriend be my prince charming?” Yasmin scoffed
“Oh wow,your prince charming must be really handsome” Kai chuckled
‘He’s not denying that he’s got a girlfriend’ Yasmin thought
“He’s handsome,but he broke my heart” Yasmin muttered
“Wow,sorry about that. I also got heartbroken,so you’re not the only one” Kai said and sighed,staring at the water below
“She broke up with you?” Yasmin sounded excited and Kai looked up
“Who?” He asked
“I saw you and your girlfriend back at the bistro….”
“Girlfriend? That was my sister dummy” Kai said and Yasmin bashed her lashes
“Sister? She’s your sister!” She asked
Kai raised his brows
“Why are you sounding so happy?” He asked
“Because I thought she’s actually your girlfriend” Yasmin smiled
“Well no,I’ve never had a girlfriend” Kai muttered
“Then,how come your heart was broken?”
“It’s a long story,I don’t wanna talk about it” Kai replied and there was silence
Yasmin smiled and rest her chin on her palm while staring at his handsome face as he stared at the sky.
‘He’s so pretty’ she said inwardly,smiling every second.
Kai turned and caught her staring,she immediately looked away
“I see you’re getting better now,you really thought you’re the only single person in the world? You must be so dumb” Kai scoffed
“Totally dumb” Yasmin muttered and Kai laughed
“Are you drunk?” He asked
“No I’m not” Yasmin chuckled
“Gosh,it’s late. I need to go home” She suddenly said in a hurry,she faced Kai
“You’re not leaving?” She asked
“I just got here” Kai replied
“Then mind walking me home?” Yasmin asked and touched her hair
Kai creased his brows
“Please,it’s late please” Yasmin pouted cutely
“Fine fine,stop making that face” Kai scoffed and Yasmin chuckled
They kept talking until they finally stopped in front of the Minister’s house
“So you live here,cool” Kai muttered
“What about you? I’ve never seen you” Yasmin said
“Yeah,that’s because I’m still in the academy” Kai replied
“Really? How old are you?” Yasmin asked
“Twenty three,you?”
“Twenty one” Yasmin smiled
“Then you should respect me” Kai said and she laughed
“So,good night,see you around” Kai muttered before walking away
Yasmin ran into the house,she entered her room and started screaming.
The door opened immediately and Amara rushed in with Lucia
“What is it this time?” Lucia groaned
“Lucia” Yasmin broke into tears
“What happened?” Amara asked
“I finally met my prince Charming” Yasmin said
“I thought he has a girlfriend” Amara asked
“That girl was his sister,he told me” Yasmin replied
“Then what happened exactly?”
“I lied to him” Yasmin muttered
“How?” Amara and Lucia asked at a time
“He’s twenty three,so……I told him I’m twenty one” Yasmin said and they gasped
“Why would you say that!” Amara yelled
“I don’t want him to stop talking to me” Yasmin fell on the bed
“You’re twenty four Yasmin,you can’t continue lying. Tell him your age” Amara said and went out
Lucia shook her head and followed Amara
Yasmin groaned
“Why is my life so complicated??!!!!!” She shouted,throwing her legs in the air

PALACE★MATILDA’S SUITE**
“Are you not done yet?” Matilda asked
“Almost done my lady”
“By the way,what’s happening in the palace? It’s quite weird this evening” Matilda said
“Oh,you’ve not heard about it my lady?”
“What is it?” Matilda asked
“Lady Suzy is back”
“Lady Suzy? The queen?” Matilda asked immediately
“Yes,she arrived this evening”
‘She’s back,how come?’ Matilda thought
“All done my lady” The maids said
Matilda got up and left the suite,the maids followed her.
They got to the dinning hall and her maids waited outside while she went in,she seems like the first to arrive but almost immediately Suzy came in and Matilda smiled
“Wow,it’s not a lie after all” She said and Suzy looked at her
“Oh,you’re still here?” She asked
“Sure,it’s so surprising to see you. But unfortunately,someone else took your place” Matilda click her tongue and shook her head
Suzy frowned
“That’s why I’m here,I’m going to take what’s mine back and you better be ready to leave once that happens” Suzy snapped and Matilda chuckled
“Let’s see if you will be able to get what you want,since the king is so in love with his new lady” Matilda smiled
Suzy glared at her
They were interrupted when Lisa came in
“Lady Suzy” Lisa called and immediately went to her
Suzy smiled and turned to Lisa,Matilda sat down.
Suzy and Lisa also sat down side by side
Eleanor was already ordering the maids to start serving,Queen Sofia also came in
“Good evening mother” Matilda greeted
“Thank you Matilda” Queen Sofia replied and turned to the maids
“Where’s Adelaide?” She asked
“She’s not here yet queen mother” They replied and Suzy bite her lips
‘It’s surprising that the queen mother is fond of her,but she’s acting strange toward me’ she thought
Finally,King Lucian appeared with Adelaide beside him,they were holding hands while Carl followed them
Suzy’s eyes were on their locked hands,Matilda chuckled. Enjoying the drama already
“Good evening your majesty” They all said
King Lucian sat down and drew out a seat for Adelaide beside him
“Mother” Adelaide immediately turned to queen Sofia who was by her left side
“I just asked for you” Queen Sofia smiled and Adelaide also smiled before her eyes met with Suzy’s own. They both rolled their eyes and looked away.
The food was served and everyone started eating
Suzy was trying to get Lucian’s attention,but he never for once looked at her
‘He must be mad at me’ she thought
Matilda cleared her throat and spoke up,breaking the silence
“Why don’t we make a toast? For the queen who just returned to the palace” she said
Adelaide threw her a glare immediately
“Queen?Who is that?” She asked and Suzy looked up
“Queen Suzy of course” Matilda smiled
Adelaide scoffed and Lucian held her hand under the table,,she frowned and faced him
“Let’s do it” Lisa smiled and raised her cup first.
Matilda also raised her cup
Lucian kept eating,Adelaide didn’t move. Queen Sofia also said nothing
“Oh,I guess nobody is happy having you back Lady Suzy” Matilda said
“Matilda” King Lucian called with a warning glare
“I’m sorry your majesty” She chuckled and faced her food
There was silence again
Suzy was burning with anger,she couldn’t even eat as she glared at Adelaide h@ťěfully.

NIGHT★KING’S CHAMBER**
Adelaide groaned tiredly as she climb on the bed beside Lucian
“Are you okay?” Lucian asked
“I just feel uneasy somehow” Adelaide muttered and climbed on him
“It’s better this way” She muttered,resting her head on his chest
All of a sudden,they heard a guard outside
“Your majesty,Lady Suzy is here” He said and Adelaide raised her head immediately
“What is she doing here?” She asked and got down from Lucian’s body
“Where are you going?” Lucian asked
“I’m going to take the door…….” Adelaide said and went out before Lucian could talk
“Gosh” Lucian groaned,knowing fully that it won’t end well

“Lucian” Suzy called immediately the door opened but was disappointed to see Adelaide
“What are you doing here?” Adelaide said
“I am here for the king,not you. Miss” Suzy said
Adelaide crossed her arms
“He’s not available right now” She said and Suzy frowned angrily
“Get the f-__-k out of my way!” She yelled
Adelaide scoffed
“You should stop shouting,I might order the guards to take you away” She said
“Really? Should we try it out and see who they are going to listen to?” Suzy smirked and Adelaide raised his brows
“I guess you were not informed,I was a queen in this palace baby girl. You’re not even a queen yet so don’t be too silly,,your position isn’t permanent,it’s temporary. I’m sure Lucian only used you to pass over time,He’s mine and mine alone and I will soon take back what is mine,do you know what will happen after that? He will throw you out of the palace” Suzy smirked and immediately Adelaide throw an heavy slap on her face
“How dare you!” She screamed
Suzy almost slapped her back but she stopped when she saw Lucian,she suddenly broke into tears and held her already red cheek
“Why would you slap me? I’m just here to see the king,you should have told me he’s sleeping and I will leave peacefully” Suzy said in tears and Adelaide was surprised,that was when she turned and found Lucian
“Adelaide,why would you do that?” Lucian asked
“Are you seriously going to believe her….”
“I saw you slap her” Lucian cut in
“Yes I did,I’m not going to deny that. But that tears are fake,trust me…she’s pretending….”
“You shouldn’t have slapped her in the first place,you should have just calmed down and let me take Care of it” Lucian snapped
“Wh….what?” Adelaide frowned
Lucian sighed
“Let’s just go back in” he muttered
“You just supported your run away queen!!” Adelaide said angrily
“Because you’re wrong in the first place……”
“I’m wrong? Why would I slap her without her doing nothing to me? Seriously……..”
“Adelaide………”
“No,I understand. I’m going to leave you two,goodnight” Adelaide muttered and made to leave
Lucian grabbed her hand
“Let go of me!” She threw his hand off and shot Suzy a dangerous glare before walking away
Suzy wiped her tears immediately
Lucian faced her,he said nothing and turned to go back in
“Lucian wait” Suzy immediately hugged him from the back
“Let go of me Suzy…..”
“No I won’t,I will keep holding you until you forgive me and take me back………I’m still in love with you Lucian” Suzy said,hugging him more tightly
