KING’S CHAMBER**
“Seriously? She came back here?” Adelaide scoffed and faced Lucian who was still quiet,he was sitting on the bed looking lost in thought
“Are you not going to say a word?” She asked and Lucian looked up
“What do you want me to say? So you can get mad at me again?” He asked
“Your ex just returned to the palace…..”
“My ex…so there’s absolutely nothing to talk about” King Lucian muttered
“Are you even sure? So you’re saying you won’t talk to her or what?” Adelaide moved closer to him
“Can we just…..stop talking about her? I’m so confuse and surprise just like you,I never imagined she would ever come back here” he said
“What is that supposed to mean? You wouldn’t have loved me if you knew she was coming back?……”
“Adelaide!” King Lucian snapped
“What is wrong with you? Why do you keep on getting me all wrong? Come on,I’m never going to ditch you for her,I won’t do that” He groaned
Adelaide roll her eyes
“I don’t know why I find it hard to trust you,you refused to burn that silly painting” She scoffed
“I will do that now…..”
“Just because she showed up,I guess you’re happy after all” Adelaide cut him off and stormed out of the room
Lucian let out a scoff
“Wait,is she even serious right now? Why is she getting mad at every little thing I say?” He muttered
His mind suddenly went to Suzy and he sighed
“Why did you come back? You should have just stayed where you are…why now?” He sighed and shoved his fingers into his hair

QUEEN SOFIA’S SUITE**
“Careful” Queen Sofia said as Lisa poured her a cup of hot tea
“Don’t worry mother,I’m ready to become a wife” Lisa chuckled
“Seriously? Wife indeed” Queen Sofia scoffed
“Ouch mother,that word hurts. What do you mean by indeed? I’m good enough” Lisa said and pushed the cup to her before sitting down
“You’re good enough but how would you become a wife when I’ve never seen you with any guy?” Queen Sofia asked
“That’s not true” Lisa laughed
“Of course,I was expecting to see you with at least a prince during the ball but your face was facing the cloud and I was just confused. But anyway,you can take your time as long as you want. You’re still twenty”
Lisa smiled
“But,what if I have someone I’m in love with?” She asked
“Do you have one? Then I would like to meet him,just make sure he’s someone who’s worthy enough to have a princess,you’re my future queen” Queen Sofia smiled and Lisa’s smile fell
“I don’t have to get married to a prince right? I don’t wanna be a queen,it’s suffocating…..”
“You don’t get to be a queen if you don’t get married to the heir,so you’re free on that. Even if it’s not a prince,someone from a noble family” Queen Sofia said and Lisa sighed
‘I don’t even know Carl’s parents,I guess I should ask him’ she thought
The door suddenly opened and one of the queen’s maids entered
“My queen,you have a guest” She said with a bow
“I’m not expecting a guest,who is it?” She asked
“Queen Suzy”
“Queen Suzy?” Lisa asked in confusion and exchanged glances with queen Sofia who was also confused
“Let her in” Queen Sofia said
The maid bowed again before going out,a second later. Suzy entered and Lisa almost spit out the tea in her mouth
“Suzy?!” Queen Sofia called loudly
“Good evening mother” Suzy smiled and bowed
Lisa got up
“Lady Suzy?” She called
Suzy faced her and nodded
“Yes Lisa,it’s me” She said
Lisa’s eyes grew even wider but without having a second thought,she hugged her tightly
“How could you leave just like that? How” She said
“I’m sorry” Suzy muttered,hugging Lisa back
Queen Sofia only watched the drama without moving
“So,you’re back?” She asked after Suzy and Lisa broke the hug
“Yes mother” Suzy smiled and sat down
“Have you seen Lucian?” Queen Sofia asked
“No,I’ve not” Suzy immediately said
“Why? I’m sure brother will be so happy to see you again” Lisa smiled
“I saw him,but I couldn’t talk to him. He was with a lady….”
“That’s Adelaide,his lady and she has been announced as the future queen” Queen Sofia said and Suzy’s eyes widened
“Announced……*
“You don’t have to be surprised,you took quite so long” Queen Sofia said,sipping from her cup
Suzy swallowed
Lisa grabbed her hand
“But you should at least talk to my brother first” She smiled and Suzy nodded
“Of course” She muttered
“Why did you left in the first place? You didn’t bother to tell anyone,including me” Queen Sofia said
“Forgive me mother,,I was dying and I had no choice” Suzy answered
“Dying?” Lisa asked
“I had an illness,a seer told me to stay out of the palace If I wanted it gone” Suzy explained
Lisa and Queen Sofia glanced at each other
“So,you’re healed now?” Lisa asked and Suzy smiled
“I’m so happy to be back here” she muttered
“There’s going to be a general dining tonight,you should join us”,Lisa smiled
“Not without the king’s order” Queen Sofia Snapped at Lisa
“Then,I will ask for his permission” Suzy smiled

KING’S CHAMBER**
“What is this?” King Lucian looked up when Carl gave him a mini envelope
“It’s from Queen Suzy…….”
“She’s not a queen Carl” Lucian snapped
“I’m sorry…..Lady Suzy” Carl muttered
Lucian roll his eyes and took the envelope from him,he unwrapped it and started reading the content inside.

Lucian roll his eyes and dropped the note,there was silence for a while
“Tell her she’s permitted” Lucian said to Carl
“Okay your majesty” Carl bowed and left his sight
