Adelaide left the king’s Chamber and walked into Eleanor
“Adel!” Eleanor called and immediately moved closer
“Were you looking for me?” Adelaide asked when Eleanor grabbed her hand
“Yes,you didn’t even tell me when you were leaving” Eleanor said with a pout
“That was because you were so engrossed with the duel” Adelaide muttered
“I got this from the court lady” Eleanor showed Adelaide the two apples in her hand before giving her one
“I don’t want to sleep yet,my roommates are something else” Adelaide sighed
“Come with me” Eleanor hold her hand and they started walking until they stopped under a tree
They both sat down
“The moon is not bright” Eleanor said,her head raised up
“It’s not bright but still overcoming the darkness” Adelaide chuckled and took a bite from her apple.
“Serving the mistress is stressful and tiring” Eleanor sighed and Adelaide faced her
“Does she yell at you or hit you?” She asked and Eleanor shook her head
“No,the mistress is really nice as I presumed. I’ve never seen her shouting at the maids” Eleanor said and Adelaide took her lip in

“Here you are” Kai showed up
“Hey Kai” Adelaide and Eleanor called at a time
He smiled and instantly took a seat beside Adelaide
“Where were you during the duel?” Adelaide faced him
“I was asleep” Kai replied
“You mean to say you were hiding in your room,pretending to be sleeping?” Eleanor grinned
“Shut up Eleana” Kai scoffed and Adelaide chuckled
“Where did you get the apples?” He asked
Adelaide immediately raised her hand,Kai held her wrist and had a bite from her hand
“I was giving you everything” Adelaide mumbled
“It tastes better in your hand” Kai winked
Adelaide smiled and continue eating it
“Oh…” She faced him again
“Is there a reason why you decided to become a guard?” She asked
“Of course not,I just wanted to do something fun before returning to the academy” Kai said
“I knew it” Adelaide said
Kai and Eleanor exchanged glances
“Oh Adelaide” Eleanor sighed out

“Boom!” Lisa appeared
“My princess” Eleanor bowed immediately
“Lisa” Adelaide waved while smiling and Eleanor faced her with shock written on her face
“I’ve missed you,how could you suddenly neglect your best friend?” Lisa pouted and pulled Kai away from Adelaide before sitting down beside her
“My Princess,I love you but…I’m her best friend” Eleanor said and Lisa looked up
“Really? Then what about me? Number two??” She faced Adelaide
“A princess should always be number one” Lisa added
“You’re both my friends” Adelaide smiled awkwardly
“Then what about me? Boyfriend?? I love that anyway…..” Kai grinned
“Who are you? Since when do we have handsome guards?” Lisa asked and Kai touched his face with a smile
“Don’t act too proud Kai,Carl is more handsome than you,even the Prince’s guard is more handsome” Eleanor scoffed
“Are you kidding me? How can Carl be more handsome? Is my face a joke to you?” Kai frowned
“Princess,who do you think is more handsome? Carl or this twerp?” Eleanor asked
“Let’s ask Adelaide instead” Lisa smiled
Adelaide looked up
“What?” She asked
“Who’s more handsome? Carl or Kai?” Lisa asked
“Kai” Adelaide said without thinking twice
“Yes!!!!!!” Kai shouted
“Wow,is he your crush?” Lisa asked in a whisper
“No” Adelaide shook her head
There was total silence for a while
“What’s your biggest fear?” Eleanor suddenly asked
“Snake” Lisa answered immediately
“I h@ťě that crawling thing,f-__-k” she added and hold herself as if she’s scared
“How can you be scared of a snake?” Kai scoffed
“Says someone who can’t even hold a sword” Eleanor snapped and Lisa laughed
“At least I’m not a witch” Kai said and immediately stood up before Eleanor could pounce on him
He ran off
“Come back here you lazy idiot!!” Eleanor ran after him
“Those two fit each other” Lisa said,still laughing
“What about you? What is your biggest fear?” She asked Adelaide
“Getting whipped” She muttered
“That’s scary,I don’t think I’ve ever been whipped before,it’s gonna destroy my skin” Lisa shook her head and Adelaide smiled
“Sure,it can destroy your skin” She muttered
“Do you know my brother’s greatest fear?” Lisa grinned sillily
“What is it?” Adelaide asked with interest
“Spiders” Lisa laughed
“What? Spiders?” Adelaide asked,not believing her ears
“It’s unbelievable right? But it’s true,Brother’s greatest nightmare…Spiders,he can faint at the sight of them. So as his personal maid,you better make sure he doesn’t see them or you will see the real guy hiding behind the king’s title” Lisa said and Adelaide chuckled
They suddenly stopped when they heard some voices on the tree,they looked up to see Carl and Jimmy.
“What are you guys doing up there?” Lisa stood up
“Get down” Carl said to Jimmy
“What do you mean? You should get down,….” Before he could finish,Carl pushed him and he landed on the ground
Lisa and Adelaide gasped
Jimmy blew them a kiss before standing up
Carl jumped down also
“We were not eavesdropping” He said
“Saying it means you eavesdropped” Lisa snapped
“I didn’t even hear a thing” Jimmy said
“Oh,Hey Jimmy” Lisa smiled and waved at him
Jimmy smiled back and almost waved when Carl grabbed his ear and dragged him away
“Gosh,why is he like that?” Lisa scoffed
“That was funny” Adelaide chuckled
“Will you sleep in my suite?” Lisa suddenly asked
“What if I get into trouble….”
“It’s my suite Adelaide,my suite,I own it and I can do anything with it,so let’s go” Lisa hold Adelaide’s hand and they left together
