Adelaide opened her eyes and groaned,the headache hit her suddenly and she held her head. She remembered what happened and sighed,still shocked that anyone would try to hurt her,she knew the maids h@ťě her a lot but never to the extent of trying to ki|| her right?
She turned to see Eleanor sleeping beside her,she was sitting on a stool with her head on the bed.
Adelaide smiled and touched her hair,that was when she discovered that her bracelet was gone
She gasped
“Oh no,bracelet. Queen mother won’t be happy if I lose it” she immediately got down from the bed
“Ahgg” she grabbed her head as she felt the headache again
But she ignored it and ran out of the room,she ran all the way back to the garden
The moment she entered the garden,it started raining
“Goodness” Adelaide muttered and she started searching for the Bracelet while the rain poured unstoppably on her.
Soon,she was getting cold and her headache returned,she tried to ignore it but then the pain in her head suddenly became unbearable.
She stood still and grabbed her head
“My head…..someone..help” She Mõ@ɲed in a low voice before losing her consciousness but as she fell,she fell into someone’s arms.
Immediately she fell on the king’s arms,his eyes went to her bandaged head and sighed
“I can’t believe she still came here” he muttered and adjusted her properly in his arms
“Your majesty! Are you there?!! Your majes…..” Carl stopped in total shock when he saw the scene right in front of him
He immediately ran to them and tried taking Adelaide from him
“Did you really run after this maid?” Carl asked
“Yes I did,as if I knew she was only going to get into another trouble” Lucian said and handed Adelaide to Carl
“But why?” Carl asked and King Lucian faced him
“Why what?”
“It’s….nothing” Carl bite his lips
“I will take her to the maid’s…..”
“No,take her to my chamber” King Lucian said and Carl’s eyes widened
“Why?!” He asked in a loud voice
“Are you questioning me right now??” Lucian frowned
“No,I wouldn’t dare. I will do wh@ťěver you say your majesty,,but can we hurry up? You should leave the rain” Carl said

HOURS LATER★KING’S CHAMBER**
Adelaide opened her eyes gently and sighed,her eyes roamed around and it seems strange but she could see she’s neither in the room she was earlier or her own room.
This room is totally different,beautiful,large and just extraordinary.
But then,her eyes suddenly fell on Lucian standing somewhere far from the bed,holding a book.
Adelaide sprang up instantly
“My King!” She called and jumped down from the bed in fear
King Lucian dropped the book in his hand and faced her
“Are you okay now?” He asked,walking closer
“I must have caused another trouble again,please forgive me” Adelaide bowed,she raised her head to see Lucian right in front of her
She gasped and fell on the bed
King Lucian touched her head and her eyes went wide again
“Your fever is gone” He muttered with a nod
Adelaide’s heart was beating abnormally already as she stared into his pretty eyes
‘He’s handsome…..but why is he doing this?’ She thought
“Aren’t you leaving? You want to sleep here?” King Lucian asked,bringing her back to reality
“Oh…yes my king” she bowed and got up
But suddenly the door opened and Matilda came in,Adelaide’s eyes widened in fear
“What are you doing here?” Matilda asked looking annoyed as she glared at her
“I am….I’m….”
“Shut up” Matilda snapped and turned to Lucian
“My king….”
“You can go” Lucian said to Adelaide
“Thank you my king” Adelaide muttered and immediately rushed out of the room
“What was that? Why was she in your room?” Matilda asked
“Why are you here?” King Lucian asked
“What?”
“You asked me why she was here,it was because I brought her in here,but you,I can’t remember calling for you so why are you here?” King Lucian demanded
“But my king,this doesn’t change the fact that a maid was here in your room. I was annoyed when I saw that,and like I said earlier I was worried about you so I came here to check if you are fine…..but it’s really heartbreaking that you don’t care about my feelings….” She started tearing up
“I’m the only one who cares about you,you only see me as a mistress and nothing more. I know I am just that,but still it hurts so much…..” She continue crying in front of him
King Lucian sighed and tap her shoulder,
“It’s okay,stop crying” He muttered
Matilda immediately moved into him and hugged him
“Please let me worry about you like I am right now,I really care about you a lot” she mumbled and sniffed in
Lucian kept quiet and stood still while she wrapped her arms around him,resting her head on his chest.
Soon,Matilda left the Chamber and King Lucian sighed out,he decided to go out and take a walk a little. Once again,he was looking rather simple than a king would look like.
“Your majesty,I will accompany you” One of the guards said
“I want to be alone” Lucian replied and walked away.
His arms folded across his chest as he walked but then he stopped when he saw Adelaide also coming
She also stopped when she saw him
She bowed and turned to go
“Wait” King Lucian called and she turned back
“Yes my king”
“What is your name?” He asked
“Adelaide” She replied with a smile
King Lucian said no word as he stared at her,why haven’t he noticed this soul right in front of him??
Just right now,looking at her this way make his soul calm in such a way he has never experienced.
Slowly,he began walking closer to her. She didn’t move either,
But she was surprised when the king got to her and pulled her into a hug.
Matilda who was watching from afar,folds her fists angrily while glaring at Adelaide h@ťěfully.
