“Dexter!!” She screamed his name,and Dexter stopped to stare at her beautiful,but embarrassed face.
They both stood,staring at each other like two lost puppies,or more like they are both looking for their misplaced items in other’s eyes.
“Drop the bags,please” Annika said camly,with a timorous voice,and Dexter did as she said.
He smiled shortly,and went back to his seat where he plonked himself on it,and began swivelling it.
His eyes on Annika, who still stood on the same spot with nothing but total embarrassment,and she was staring at Dexter too.
He actually was just pulling her legs,he wasn’t really going in with her.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed,Annika. Just imagine me right now as Verity,and not a guy. It’s no big deal,anyway.
“You should go clean and change up,the room is over there” He said,pointing to the direction of the room.
Annika swallowed hard,and nodded,as she couldn’t utter the words out. She really wanted to say more than just a nod,but she found herself unable to say it out.
She then bent,picked up the necessary bags and went in. Dexter’s eyes never left her body till she completely went out of sight.
Why the f-__-king hell is he staring at her that way? He’s even worsening the whole situation by making her feel more embarrassed with his stares.
Well,even he himself doesn’t understand why he’s staring at her so much.
Immediately Annika entered,she let out big a sigh.
Her thought went back to how he noticed she was stained.
“Can’t believe that jerk was looking at my a*s while I was walking out of his Office,such a pervert!
“But d@mn! He saved me from further embarrassment,everyone would have seen my stained dress!” She said,and checked her dress.
“Phew! It isn’t as bad as I thought. But my stomach is starting to hurt so much” She grimaced,holding her stomach.
She opened the bags,brouht out the pads. Different types of them!
“Dexter” She chuckled and called his name for no reason.
“How the hell did he even know the size of my u*dies? Migosh!” She gushed,and shook her head.
^^MINUTES LATER^^
After she had cleaned herself up,she washed the stained dress,and her u*die,though,she only hung her dress in there,and not her u*die.
There’s actually a toilet in the room,with a sink too,plus soap and handwash. That’s how she was able to wash them.
“Are you alright? Dexter asked and gave a little smile,when he saw Annika walk back into the main Office.
“I am fine,thank you. Just experiencing some pains” She blurted,and bit her lip hard immediately,inwardly insulting herself for saying that.
“Annika,you’re insane! Nobody f-__-king asked you that” She said and slapped her forehead,making Dexter to chuckle.
“Sorry about the pain. Do you take anything to supress it? I can get it for you” Dexter said,caring and feeling for Annika.
He understands and knows what it’s like.
He can still remember quite well what Verity faces whenever her period starts,back then when he was still living with his parents.
Verity cries almost every month when it starts,so much that Dexter would want to cry too.
So,he knows,that’s why he’s being so caring and loving.
And he has come to love Annika so much that,even when he tries to be the person he really is,he just can’t.
“I am okay,thanks” Annika smiled.
“You don’t look okay,but it’s fine anyway. Go have some rest in your Office or take a day off and go home” Dexter said sweetly,and she smiled.
“Thank you so much,Disaster. I really appreciate” She thanked him,smiling again.
“Okay,when will you stop calling me this Disaster $h|t of a name,witch!” Dexter asked,rolling eyes.
“When you stop being a jerk,and when you stop calling me a witch!” Annika barked.
“Aren’t you a witch?
“I am not!” Annika snapped, defensively.
“Only witches don’t respect and are never scared of their bosses,no matter how much their bosses try to be strict. So,you’re a big witch,a certified one at that” Dexter said,and Annika couldn’t help but burst into a loud laugh.
“Now I know you are really crazy. A certified witch?” She asked,laughing again. Dexter rolled eyes,but started chuckling too.
“I’ll be in my Office,see you later” Annika said,and started walking out slowly,while Dexter kept looking at her.
She suddenly stopped and turned to face Dexter.
“So,the diapers are for who exactly?” She asked,staring at his face.
“For our baby,I guess” He blurted senselessly.
“Huh….!?” Annika furrowed her brows.
“I mean,I was just packing everything that looked like pad into the bag,cos I was rushing,so….
“With the way I was hurrying up,do you know some people were staring at me like I’m some crazy jerk?” Dexter said,and Annika bursted out laughing.
“But you actually are a crazy jerk,don’t you know that?” Annika asked,folding her arms and still laughing.
“Leave my Office,witch before I fire you!” He shouted,and that made Annika to laugh even more
“Yes,sir” She bowed and left,but chuckling while walking out.
Dexter started chuckling too,shaking his head as well.
“She’s crazy as f-__-k. I can’t believe how much I have fallen for her,despite what what I went through because of heartbreak” He sighed.
^^GRAHAM’S RESIDENCE^^
“Dad,I can’t believe you didn’t buy anything for us this time around” Brielle said,pouting.
“Yes,dad. I can’t believe it too” Avery also said and pouted,while Mr Graham began chuckling.
“You two are full grown adults,not babies. Why should I keep buying things for you whenever I come home?” He asked,and they frowned.
“Because we are your babies” They chorused,and he laughed.
“Actually,I saw two beautiful dresses,but I purposely didn’t buy them. Cos I thought you’d have grown bigger by now” Graham said,jokingly.
“Seriously dad,you’re unbelievable. I don’t believe you one bit, Jeez!” Avery gushed and they all started laughing.
Mr Graham is actually around,and everyone is happy. Especially Brielle and Avery.
The house is always lively and filled with laughter whenever he’s around,just like now.
“Brielle,so you got a job,ay?” He turned to Brielle and said.
“Yes,dad. I am so happy I have a job now,no more idleness” She smiled.
“I am happy you have a job now,Brielle” Graham smiled.
“Thank you,dad” Brielle smiled too.
She then stood up from the sofa,heading to her room.
“I’ll be right back,need to use the restroom” She said,and dashed to her room immediately.
When they noticed that she had gone into the room for real…
“You were trying to say something to me about Brielle,yesterday” Graham started.
“Yes,dad” She was telling me about someone she made friends with,two days ago or so.
“She said the lady kept staring at her so much that she had to ask why,and when she did ask. The lady told her that she looks so much like her big sister” Avery explains.
“Wow! This is great news then,that must be her relative or something. I am so so happy right now”Mr Graham smiled broadly.
“I also thought so,and I am happy too”Avery replied,and smiled too.
“Did she tell you if she remembered anything at all about her family?” He continued.
“No,dad. She didn’t say anything else,just that”Avery answered.
“Okay….I pray she regains her memory soon. Hope you didn’t tell your mom about this?” He asked.
“I didn’t,but why,dad? Isn’t she supposed to know?” Avery asked confusedly.
“You can’t tell her,cos she might worsen Brielle’s condition by telling her she’s not ours. You know your mother is capable of doing that,cos she doesn’t like her anymore” Graham said,sadly.
“You are right,dad. Mom is being so unfair to her lately,and Brielle has started asking me lots of questions already,if mom is really her mother” Avery sighed.
“Now you know what I am saying? Brielle can run mad for real if that happens,so she needs to remember everything herself” Graham said,and Avery nodded.
