{ EATING YOUR LIPS? }

“Huh?” Rosetta blinked her eyes. Staring at the man whose green orbs were fixed down at her, Rosetta couldn’t comprehend the feeling she felt at that moment. What does he mean by she addressing him by his name? Can she even do that?

“We’d be getting married soon, you need to get rid of the honorifics,” Romeo said as though he knew her thoughts.

Hearing that, Marcus was a little bit relieved. Romeo was the strict and bossy type. He’d never condone anyone addressing him by his name except if they’re into any personal relationship. But, him telling a woman to call him by his name, was a shock. But now, he understood better.

“He’s right.” The words came out of his mouth freely. He turned to Rosetta who was already staring at him.

“You need to address him by his name since you both will be married soon,” he added.

Even though Rosetta perfectly understood what they meant, it still felt odd to her ears. How was she to address him by his name? Her stomach grumbled loudly and her eyes widened. Not again!

Slowly, her eyes flickered to Romeo’s and she quickly bit her lips when she found him staring at her. She had just lied to him that she wasn’t hungry and her stomach had to betray her at that moment.

“You said you weren’t hungry,” Romeo said, his face void of emotion.

“I’m not. It’s just…” Another sound came from her stomach and Rosetta shut her eyes in utter embarrassment. To make matters worse, Marcus was literally laughing beside her.

“Come here,” Romeo grabbed her hand and dragged her away, with her following him behind like a lost puppy. His muscular hand was wrapped around hers tightly which got her thinking if it was the same Romeo she knew.

She had expected her stay with him to be a bad one. She had expected him to maltreat her, treat her like an invincible being and all, but this was totally different. She couldn’t pinpoint on why he was suddenly acting to her, it was all her thoughts.

They got to the dining room which was more like a house on its own. The chairs were of silver color while the table was a huge one which was enough to feed fifty people.

“Bring something for her,” Romeo ordered a maid and she left instantly.

“Have your seat,” he said to Rosetta, his hand slowly slipping out of hers. Without a word, Rosetta sat on the chair, feeling so embarrassed.

“You should have your meal and don’t choke this time around,” she raised her hand to find him smirking down at her. Subconsciously, she rolled her eyes before looking away.

Romeo chuckled and went to Marcus who was waiting patiently for him in the living room. He made himself comfortable on a chair opposite him as they engaged in a conversation.

“You seem to care about her,” Marcus started.

“I mean, your wife. It’s surprising to be honest” he added.

“That’s the least I could do,” Romeo muttered.

“So, how’s Helena? Are you still not over her yet?” Marcus asked, grinning mischievously.

“What do you take me for? A six year old?” Romeo asked back, finding the question a bit funny. Yea, he might have gone crazy over Helena but his feelings died the day he caught her on his bed with a guard. A mere guard! So low.

“Still can’t get over that fact. How long has that been going on? It must have been going on without your consent,” Marcus said.

“Hmm. It has been going on for a while now and f-__-k me for thinking she’s the purest in the world” Romeo cursed himself. All Marcus did was to laugh.

“So, about your wedding? How are you going to go about it? Do you want it to be grand or simple?” Marcus asked.

“Have you ever heard of Castillo holding a simple wedding?” Romeo asked back. Marcus made an “oh” sound.

“I need to make this real,” Romeo added while Marcus nodded in understanding.

“We should pick a date, the best one at that. Is it too late to start sharing information?” Marcus asked.

Romeo rested his arms on his chest as he used a finger to trail his jaw, he was in deep thoughts.

“It’s not. I’ll find a way to go about it, and you should select a venue, a perfect one. I don’t want any mistakes, Marcus. We can’t possibly ruin our hard work now, not when things are already going our way” Romeo said.

“You can count me on this, I will start now” Marcus said.

****

Marcus came out of the bathroom with a white towel around his neck, he had just finished having his night shower. He walked over to his bed and threw the towel away carelessly. He picked his laptop and switched it on immediately.

Marcus logged in into his account and smiled when he saw the emails he sent went successful, some had even replied immediately.

“Perfect,” he grinned. Just as he was about to take his gaze away, his eyes caught a heading and he quickly clicked on it.

★ FREUDIAN SANTOS CASTILLO WILL BE ARRIVING BACK TO SICILY IN JUST TWO DAYS TIME ★

“Cazzo! {f-__-k!}” He exclaimed with wide eyes. Freud is coming back soon? He hurriedly picked his phone and dialed Romeo’s number which he picked at the third ring.

“Freud is coming back,” he blurted out immediately.

“I know,” Romeo’s voice came out more calmly than he expected.

“What’s your plan now? I’m sure he knew the old man was around, that’s why he decided to return too,” Marcus said.

“He’ll never get to me, I’m sure of that. Just keep doing your job,” Romeo said.

“Okay. I’ll let you know about the turn out,” Marcus said and the call ended.

His eyes went back to the computer and he rubbed his chin worriedly. Why were things happening so soon?

****

Sounds of happy laughter could be heard in the house as the two couples sat together in each other’s arms, watching a movie.

“Now, I feel so relieved,” Mrs. Stone smiled, caressing her husband’s hand which was around her. This was what she wanted, to be able to have her husband to herself alone.

“It feels so good to get rid of some pests,” she added.

“We could have made enough money from selling her to the brothel, she just had to ruin things up. That Ɓîtçh,” she cursed, rolling her eyes.

“She’s still going to come back, she has nowhere to go I’m sure of that,” Mr. Stone said.

“She should better not come back, or I might just ki|| her with my hands,” Mrs. Stone said with her voice full of hatred. She slowly moved out of her husband’s arms just to face him.

“What are you doing?” Mr. Stone asked when she straddled him, grinding herself on him.

“What do you think? It’s been long since you touched me,” she whispered, running her hands on his chest.

“We have all the house to ourselves… Forever” she whispered, pressing her lips on his

Mr. Stone quickly got a hold of her waist and tossed them over till he was on top. Right on the couch in the living room, they had s*x.

Rosetta was in her nightdress, though it was one of the maids who provided it for her. Romeo wasn’t in the house so she was all alone and she was damned bored to death.

Rosetta covered her mouth and yawned for the umpteenth time. She rolled on the bed and at that time, the door opened, revealing Romeo.

Their gaze locked for a short while before Romeo started sauntering towards the bed, each step sending Rosetta’s heart to Mercury. Were they sleeping on the same bed?

“You’re awake,” Romeo smiled briefly when he got to the bed.

Rosetta nodded briefly and quickly covered herself with the quilt. It was as though she had suddenly gone mute.

“We’ll be selecting your wedding dress tomorrow, you should sleep early” he said.

“And you too, you look stressed,” Rosetta blurted out without thinking.

Romeo ran his hand through his hair before releasing a deep breath. He was indeed stressed, working to make sure everything was in the right place.

“I’ll be in the bathroom,” he muttered before making his way into the bathroom, trying to relieve himself.

Few minutes later, he returned but with shorts on, he was shirtless. He walked towards the bed and laid beside Rosetta, staring at her face since she was facing him.

He didn’t fail to notice the tears in her eyes and he couldn’t help but to wonder if she cried. If there was one thing he was curious about at that moment, then that’d be why she suddenly accepted the offer of being his bride. He had thought he’d have to go extra miles just to have her, but she had to make things easier for him.

****

Rosetta woke up to meet herself in a beautiful room, everywhere so white and sparkling. She had thought everything was a dream, but no. This was the reality, she’d be getting married soon.

She sighed before turning on the bed and a light gasp escaped her lips when she saw him beside her, he was still asleep and their faces were so close. Did he sleep beside her?

Rosetta swallowed hard as she stared at his face. The Boss that everyone feared was right next to her, sleeping soundly.

“Continuerai a fissare tutto il giorno? {Are you going to keep staring all day?}” His eyes opened and she literally choked on her breath.

“Good morning, sir Romeo” she greeted, moving away from him.

“Romeo,” he corrected, getting off from the bed. Without any more word, he walked out of the room

“Romeo,” Rosetta pronounced slowly and quickly shook her head. The name sounded weird in her lips.

She released a groan and stretched her body but then, she caught a silver ring in her middle finger.

“Che cosa? {What?}” She checked her finger and her eyes widened. It was an engagement ring, when did it get to her finger? Did he put the ring on her while she was asleep?

Rosetta blinked her eyes as she continued staring at the ring in her finger. It was so gorgeous and she needed no soothsayer to tell her how expensive it was.

There was a knock on the door and two maids entered.

“Good morning, Mrs. Castillo” they greeted in unison.

“Good morning,” Rosetta replied awkwardly. It’d definitely take a long time before she could get accustomed to this.

“We’re here to prepare sir Romeo’s bath,” a maid said

“Okay, go ahead,” Rosetta said. The maids got to work while she stood up, arranging the bed.

She was still at it when Romeo entered the room.

“What do you think you’re doing?” He questioned.

“Huh?” She turned to look at him and straightened herself.

“I’m arranging the bed, it…”

“Leave that to the maids,” Romeo cuts her off.

“I can do that, you don’t have to stress the maids. Besides, it’s a simple thing,” Rosetta insisted.

Romeo stared at her before taking his gaze away. His eyes went to the ring on her finger which fitted her perfectly. He wore that on her when she was fast asleep.

“Right. This,” Rosetta raised her hand.

“Did you put this on me?” She asked.

“Who else? Do you have someone else who wants to marry you?” Romeo asked back.

“Tch!” Rosetta scoffed before resuming back in arranging the bed while Romeo continued watching her. If someone told him he’d be getting married in just a few days, he’d have totally declined that. But here, he found himself engaged to no one but a little naive girl.

“Done,” Rosetta smiled after she was done arranging the sheets. She turned to Romeo to find him still staring at her.

“Is there something on my face?” She asked slowly.

“No,” the maids came out at that time.

“Your bath is ready, sir Romeo” they said. Romeo dismissed them and they left.

“I’ll be out soon,” Romeo muttered and went to the bathroom, leaving Rosetta standing.

Not wanting to be alone, Rosetta went downstairs to take in the fresh morning air.

****

Romeo descends the staircase, fixing the wristwatch in his hand. He was already dressed for work.

He met Rosetta in the living room, having a casual talk with one of the maids. He shook his head before walking briskly to them.

“Sir Romeo,” the maid quickly bowed and walked away.

Rosetta stood from the couch and made to walk away too when Romeo caught her hand. He turned her to him.

“Are you scared of me?” He asked gently.

“No… Of course not,” Rosetta stuttered, taking her hand away from his. Truth be told, she was very scared of him. How would her life be with him? Those were the thoughts scaring her off.

“That seems to be a lie. Anyways, I’ll be going to work and I’ll ask a guard to pick you up for the dress selection,” he said. He turned and walked away.

“Romeo!” Rosetta called and he stopped walking. He gave her his attention.

“You haven’t had your breakfast,” she muttered, biting her lips.

“Breakfast? Do you mean, eating your lips?” Romeo smirked and she gasped.

What a pervert!
