{ SAFE IN HIS ARMS }
The whole house was in silence and only the clicking of cutleries on plate was the only thing that could be heard. Freudian was currently in the dining room with his wife, having their breakfast. There was total silence between them with his wife picking her food slowly.
“I’m… I’m done here,” she mumbled slowly, getting to her feet. Freudian never glanced at her, instead he was focused on his food, acting as though she was invisible.
“Boss! Boss!” A guy suddenly rushed in, panting heavily. The scream from him made Freudian stop eating abruptly. He gave him his full attention.
“Are you blind to see I’m eating?” Freudian asked coldly. He has this deadly aura around him that seems to send people’s hearts to another planet.
“I’m sorry, Boss. But, there’s something you need to see,” the guy said and instantly brought out his phone from his pocket.
Hearing that, Freudian’s wife stopped walking and decided to listen to their conversation. Freudian got to his feet and walked towards the guy, grabbing the phone from him roughly.
Freudian’s eyes suddenly glowed darkly as he read the content that was all over social media. It was about Romeo’s wedding and he was fuming with anger
“Two days?! Why the f-__-k are you just informing this to me now?!” He thundered, griping the phone in his hand right. Even at the sound of his voice, his wife trembled in fear and she quickly hugged herself.
“The news got released today. I came to you immediately I saw it” the guy’s voice shook with fear.
“Accidenti! {Damnit!}” He cursed, his whole body vibrating from anger.
“Get the ship ready, we’re heading to Sicily tomorrow!” He thundered violently before marching out of the dining room in anger

The car drove through the driveway speedily, none of that concerning the two figures who were present in the car. Rosetta was fiddling with her nails nervously while Romeo was far away from her, pressing his phone and ignoring her totally.
That was how he has been ever since they left the hotel. He hasn’t spoken a word since and she was worried… Weird, right?
“Romeo,” she started but the car was already parked in the garage.
“We’re here, sir” the driver announced. Romeo immediately got out of the car without a word and Rosetta bit her lips. She heaved a sigh before also alighting from the car.
Walking past the water fountain which stood in the middle of the compound. The compound was so big and she was pretty sure the land wasted there could contain 15 houses.
Rosetta entered the house but Romeo was nowhere to be seen. The living room was completely silent as a graveyard, no single maid was in sight.
Rosetta sat down on a couch, reminiscing about the event that occured that morning. The way Anna attacked her couldn’t leave her mind and tears forced the way out of her eyes. It wasn’t her fault that she ended up as a cleaner.
If it was up to her, she’d go to school and become an independent woman on her own. A woman who has access to all her properties, a woman who doesn’t have to work for twelve hours before having something to eat. A woman who…..
“Ummm” a sob wrenched out of her throat as she completely drowned in her emotions. Her life was pathetic and the only thing she wanted was to completely erased the painful memories from her mind.
Happiness was the only thing she ever wished for but why does that seem so far away from her?
“Mrs. Castillo,” a maid’s voice jolted her back to reality. Seeing the maid, she quickly wiped the tears off her face and plastered a fake smile on her face.
“Do you need my help?” Rosetta’s voice came out hoarsely and the maid shook her head before letting out a smile.
“I was only worried,” she muttered.
“Thank you,” Rosetta flashed a smile at her. Romeo appeared at that moment, her eyes immediately went to him and she suddenly felt nervous. Why?
Romeo walked past them and she got to her feet, rushing to him and holding his hand. Romeo stopped walking and his eyes went to hers which were around his own. Slowly, his eyes locked with hers and he didn’t fail to notice her eyelashes glistening brightly which signifies she had just finished crying.
“I… I’m sorry,” Rosetta mumbled whilst biting her lips. The maid slowly walked away, leaving the couples alone.
“Did you cry?” Romeo asked instead and she blinked her eyes. Huh?
Romeo released her hand from his before moving away from her, creating a little distance between them.
“You were a cleaner, but that was in the past. Do you really have to let that weigh you down? Stop being too naive! You’re becoming my wife in just two days time and you’re just like this? How in hell are you going to handle my business with you this way!!” Romeo yelled and Rosetta flinched. He was mad at her, she could sense it.
Seeing the fear in her eyes, Romeo cooled down a bit but that wasn’t working. He was mad, d@mn angry at the fact that she had to belittle herself in the presence of everyone. He was f-__-king angry.
“Your phone will be brought to you soon by a guard,” he said, his voice still cold. Without any other word, he left the room leaving Rosetta alone.
Rosetta sniffed before sitting on the couch slowly. Was it her fault that she was ending up as his wife? He was the one who f-__-king forced her!
“Hey….” She heard a sweet voice and she raised her head to find a gorgeous lady before her.
“Are you crying?” The lady asked again and Rosetta quickly shook her head, cleaning her eyes with her palms.
“You don’t have to lie, yunno?” The lady sat beside her before taking her hand into hers gently.
“That’s Romeo’s personality, you just have to endure him” the lady smiled.
“Who are you?” Rosetta asked.
“I’m Valeria, Marcus’s girlfriend,” Valeria introduced.
“And… I’m to be your tutor,” she winked. Rosetta couldn’t help but to smile at her jovial nature.
“Your wedding is in two days’ time, we should hurry. Don’t worry, I’m going to do my best for you” Valeria smiled. She stood up and held Rosetta’s hand, dragging her to her feet also.
“The time starts now!” She dragged Rosetta away.

Romeo was working in the office when the door opened, revealing a furious Helena. She had a menacing glare on her face as she marched towards him, her classy heels making sounds which annoyed Romeo.
“What are you doing here?” Romeo asked, not taking his gaze from the computer.
“Are you seriously asking me that? We broke just a few days ago and the next thing you had to do was to get married? Romeo!!!” Helena screamed.
“Is that all?” Romeo asked calmly and Helena was completely taken aback. What?
“If you’re done, leave my office” Romeo said, typing on his computer very fast, ignoring Helena as though she was invincible.
“Romeo! Stop, stop, stop!!!!!” Helena yelled, her veins popping on her neck as a result of her anger.
“I’m getting married soon, the sooner you realize that, the better” Romeo said. Suddenly, two guards rushed into the office and got a hold of Helena who had a confused look on her face.
“The next time she sets foot into this company, consider your job gone,” Romeo thr_@tened. The guards nodded and hauled Helena out of the room, with her screaming like a lunatic.
“Ɓîtçh,” Romeo loosened his tie after they were gone. His mind drifted to the incident at the hotel that morning and anger surged inside him immediately. It took all of his self control not to destroy that lowlife… Anna.

Rosetta groaned loudly before falling to the floor tiredly. She removed the heels on her legs and threw it aside, rubbing her numb foot. That action of hers got Valeria rolling up in laughter.
“Hey, that was just a little, okay? Don’t tell me you’re tired” Valeria laughed
“I am!” Rosetta wailed. This was the first time she’d be learning something so hard. She was just walking around with heels, trying her best to walk like a classy lady and it was d@mn hard!.
“You’ll get used to it, trust me. And you’re a fast learner too, I’m proud of you,” Valeria winked. Her phone beeped loudly and she walked to the table, picking it up. A smile spread on her face after she was done reading the message, she went to carry her bag.
“I guess that’s all for today, take care of yourself!” Valeria waved before rushing out of the house, leaving Rosetta all alone.
Rosetta’s mind drifted to Romeo and a sigh escaped her lips. The guard already arrived with her phone and yet he was nowhere to be seen. Was he mad at her?
Rosetta stood up and walked towards the bed, spreading her arms and legs wide. The next thing that followed was her heavy breathing which means nature already took its place.

Romeo was engrossed in his work, failing to hear the sounds of the rain which was falling torrentially. The thunder struck loudly and he stopped what he was doing immediately.
“Is it raining?” He wondered, getting to his feet. He walked to the window to find everywhere so dark with the rain pouring heavily, no one in his right sense would risk entering the rain.
That moment, something rang in his ears and his eyes widened a bit. Rosetta!
“Cazzo! {f-__-k!}” He quickly picked up his phone and rushed out of the office, not minding to switch off his computer. He met his guards who were patiently waiting for him outside.
“It’s raining, Boss. You can’t step into it, it will be dangerous for your health,” a guard protested.
Romeo ignored him totally and entered his car in a rush, his clothes already wet even though he only spent a few seconds in the rain.
“Drive me home!” He ordered the driver, which he did immediately. The car drove out of the company, speeding through the silent road of the city

Amidst the rain splattering outside, sounds of loud cries could be heard in the room as a figure kept tossing around the bed, shutting her eyes tight.
The painful memories started appearing. Everything was blur, she couldn’t point out a single thing and her head was beginning to pound so hard
“No, no, no” Rosetta kept screaming, heavy tears falling down her cheeks. Why was it raining? Why has life decided to show her nothing but pain?
The door flung open and Romeo appeared with his shirt wet from the rain. Like he had guessed, she was suffering from her trauma already cos he could hear her screams and tears.
“Rosetta!” He called. Rosetta raised her head and on seeing him, she rushed to her feet and three herself to his arms immediately, hoping to find solace in him.
“Romeo,” she sobbed, holding him tight. Her hands were clutching his wet shirt and she was clinging to him like glue.
“Stay with me please, I’m scared” she whispered in tears, closing her eyes tight.
“You’re safe here, Mio caro. Very safe” Romeo said in a whisper, pulling her slender figure to himself as he wrapped his masculine arms around her, trapping her to himself.
