🔞🥀❤️ CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE ❤️🥀🔞
Sophia got up to a warm bed forgetting about the now penniless friend she had in the house. The head maid said nothing about the issue to the madam but went over to Alaric to show him the video while her eyes stayed on him as if examining his facial features.
Her hand caressed her face a little before she collected her phone from the man who nodded his head at her before going inside the room to meet his wife and shutting the door.
Immediately the door was shut Veronica sneaked out of her room glaring at the closed door with her face green with envy. She clenched her first and grinded her teeth before walking towards the table while the meal was still being prepared.
She was obviously hungry. The people in the room she was waiting for took longer than she expected and her food which was already served was already cold while theirs was brought hot.
“How has the house been Veronica, hope you are enjoying your time here” Sophia asked taking a huge bite out of her dumpling.
The hungry Veronica looked at the girls food which was different from hers which had little filling and mostly flour.
Sophia’s dumplings were so stuffed with fillings some were over flowing and that was the same way Veronica’s eyes couldn’t help but overflow with anger.
She said nothing and carried the cold food up to her room. Sophia noticing her strange behavior overlooked it while rubbing her tummy and feeding the man at her front who didn’t hesitate to bite where she had bitten even though his OCD senses were still strong they seemed useless at the front of his wife.
The next days seem to be fine and Sophia liked the calm atmosphere better where she spent the whole day cuddling with Alaric while he worked and she slept or read books.
Everything felt so good Sophia started to worry. Just as she was about to walk down the stairs one day Veronica suddenly rushed out and called Sophia.
Sophia turned around to talk to her friend when Veronica ‘bumped’ into her after seeing Alaric was a little far away from the stairs and won’t reach the falling woman on time.
Veronica stretched her hand like she was about to grab her but her hand didn’t reach. Sophia’s eyes widened as she protected her stomach and shut her eyes tight waiting for the long tumbling ahead of her.
Instead she felt a warm hand wrap around her. Her eyes opened to see Alaric who was glaring daggers at Veronica. It was very obvious if he wasn’t holding Sophia in his arms he would have shot Veronica in-between the eyes.
“It was just a mistake” Sophia defended snuggling into the arms of the man and trying to take his mind off the little issue which just happened.
“Sophia, I’m sorry” Veronica cried while walking down slowly to touch Sophia. The tears looked pitiful to Sophia who thought it was a mistake but the tears were actually angry tears Veronica shed for herself for not achieving her aim.
Now she looked at the girl who was cuddling with the man who was meant to be hers and she had never felt the murderous surge she was feeling at the moment for Sophia.
“It’s alright, I know it was a mistake” Sophia was about to touch Veronica’s stretched hands but Alaric pulled her back hugging her to himself and walking away like Veronica didn’t exist.
Veronica didn’t say anything and instead walked away easily thinking of other plans in her calculative mind.
Sophia didn’t say anything either but gave the man Little pecks to pacify him and even though it didn’t work he noticed she was trying and left her be.
He knew Veronica would do something again and he couldn’t wait to reveal her in front of Sophia even though he knew it would hurt his wife he also knew it was the perfect way to get rid of Veronica once and for all.
He watched the girl keep pecking him and he chuckled letting her do as she wished with his arms wrapped protectively around her and his eyes shut somewhere deep down he was scared.
He didn’t care about the child all he cared about was the woman in his arms, he didn’t care about the situation of the child and if he was told he had a chance to save just one of them between his wife and his child he’d choose Sophia without a second thought.
Maybe he was starting to get obsessed but he loved his wife too much now to let her go for any reason.
“Don’t leave me” Alaric whispered into the air but Sophia who was close heard the neediness in his wards and her eyes watered as she hugged his tight resting her head on his chest.
“I would never” she replied and Alaric pulled open his eyes slowly to see Sophia already asleep on his chest.
He rubbed her hair looking at the red hair he loved so much he ran his hand through it.
“I know”

Soon it was the next day and Veronica knew Sophia would be going out for a checkup soon without Alaric but instead the maids.
Alaric who was busy in his office heard the door open and frowned knowing the maids wouldn’t dare enter without his permission. Also remembering Sophia went for a checkup he looked at the door seeing Veronica at his doorstep with a very skimpy silky gown his eyes narrowed dangerously knowing Sophia would be back soon.
“Leave” he ordered but Veronica just rushed towards him.
Immediately her hand wrapped around his body the door opened.
“Honey guess what” Sophia yelled but frowned when she saw the scene in the room.
