She had been bitten by a dog once when she was little and have always stayed away from them but having to see one today made her relived the past.
“I already called for security. They would have taken him away”Gerald said but she couldn’t belive his words.
“Would it be too much of a hassle if I asked you to come check the door first”She said.
“Yes it will”He replied as he took his seat not bothered about her again.
She moved towards the dog and began to knock. Wanting to know if it was still there. She was still knocking when the door was pulled open.
“See! There’s nothing there”Gerald said even as she stayed close to him.
“You can go back to your task now”He said and she quickly tidied her hair back while she cleaned the sweat from her hand on her clothes. Wanting to look prim, proper and smart when she go back to Fiona room.
“Before I forget. We will be having a guest coming over for dinner. Wear something proper”He said starring at her baggy jeans and ugly shirt.
“Must i really be there?”She asked.
“I always have my dinner with Fiona and so she being there will also demand for your appearance. Your job is to make sure she doesn’t do something crazy” He said as he shut the door on her face before she could give a reply.
“What a jerk!”She muttered as she walked off while Gerald sat at his desk remembering the event of a minute ago. He didn’t even realise that he was smiling as he picked up his phone to call his secretary.
Arabella went back to Fiona room and as usual she was sitting on her bed. Doing wh@ťěver on her phone.
Certain luxuries had been limited from her when she was her daughter age being gifted such things at such a age. She’s meant to become a brat. She thought as she kept starring at her daughter
“So you came back in one piece” Fiona said as she stared at her
“You knew that that dog was there and you never told me about it” Arabella accused.
“Why should I? I wanted you gone but as it turns out you are here”Fiona replied.
“You really are a spoilt brat. Did anyone ever told you so?”Arabella asked.
“Yes. My uncle once told me and the maid also calls me that and I don’t care. I don’t care what you all think of me. All I want is that you leave. Just go away. I don’t need a nanny”Fiona yelled at her.
“You need one. Seeing how naughty and bad you are becoming you definitely need a nanny and that nanny will be me” Arabella declared fiercely.
“Who do you think you are? You are not my mom. I h@ťě you!”Fiona yelled as she got out of bed to walk past her into the bathroom.
Feeling hurt by her words. Arabella sat on her bed while she took her phone to see what she was watching.
It was a talk show she had been invited to. The talk show had got her telling people about herself.
Fiona clearly likes Ara the singer better than Bella the nanny and she didn’t come to her as Ara. She came as Bella. Fiona would have to accept her as Bella. Arabella tthought as she decided to give the girl time but she ended up dozing off and when she woke up it was to see that it was dark.
How long have she been sleeping. She thought as she heard a weird noise. Not wanting to believe that it was what she was thinking. She stretched only to see a snake curled around her body.
Yelling out of fright. She got out of the bed pulling the snake away from her. The door opened and Fiona walked into the room looking smug.
“Am glad that it woke you up” Fiona said as she went to pick the snake up.
“Will you stop scaring me with all this”Arabella said to the little girl.
“If you want me to stop then you have to leave” Fiona said.
“Am not going to leave! So stop telling me to do that”Arabella replied.
“Then a snake around your body won’t be the only thing you get”Fiona thr_@tened.
“You really are a pain”Arabella muttered.
“Then leave if I am a pain”Fiona yelled at her.
“This will be the last time I tell you this. I won’t leave. Get ready for dinner with your uncle. He is bringing a guest” Arabella said.
“It must be a woman”Fiona said softly.
“Whoever your uncle brings is not someone you should concern yourself with. Just put on your best clothe and come downstairs. I will also be there”Arabella informed her
“You will?”The little girl asked as a mischievous smile lit up her face.
“I will and don’t do anything to ruin tonight dinner. Seems like the guest is someone important to your uncle”Arabella said.
“I won’t ruin it. I can promise you that” Fiona said as she went to get ready.
Arabella didn’t know why but she felt uneasy about Fiona easy acceptance.
A while later Arabella was dressed in a gown which didn’t compliment her curves. She let her hair down as she tried to make herself look a bit different . Afterall she had promise to make herself look presentable to any guest of Gerald.
She was heading up to Fiona a room to get her when she heard some voices downstairs.
One definitely belongs to Gerald while the other voice belonged to someone she knew well enough.
Alighting the few stairs she had climbed. She head back to the front door only to see Jenna along with John standing by the door way. Talking to Gerald.
Why did he invite the two people who knew her as Ara the singer to his home? She thought as she kept on starring at them.
