CHAPTER 60

AMY’S POV

I never thought I would find love again after
James. He broke my heart and shattered my
trust in men. But life has a way of surprising
you when you least expect it. Jayden came into
my life and showed me what true love is
supposed to feel like.

It all started when he took me out to dinner to
discuss the wedding plans. He was so attentive
and caring, always asking me what I wanted
and making sure I was happy with everything. I
started to realize that I was falling for him, that
he was different from any other man I had ever
met. He insisted that I moved back to England
for more convenience and I accepted, a decision
that made my parents more than happy.
Since I move here about three months ago, I
have been staying in Jayden’s house. Jayden’s
mansion is nothing like I have ever seen before.
I was born into wealth but there is just
something about Jayden’s mansion.
The mansion is situated in the English
countryside, surrounded by lush greenery and
beautiful gardens. From the outside, the
mansion exudes elegance and grandeur, with its
Gothic-style architecture, towering spires, and
turrets.

The exterior of the mansion is made of red brick
and stone, with intricate carvings and
embellishments. The windows are large, with
stained glass that casts a colorful glow over the
surrounding landscape. A large wooden door,
with ornate carvings, leads into the mansion.

As you enter the mansion, the grandeur
continues. The foyer is spacious, with marble
flooring and a sweeping staircase leading up to
the upper floors. A large chandelier hangs from
the ceiling, casting a warm glow over the area.

To the left of the foyer, a formal living room
awaits. The room is adorned with antique
furniture, plush velvet sofas, and chairs
arranged around a large fireplace. Large, floor-
to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of the
gardens.

To the right of the foyer, a formal dining room is
situated. The room is elegant, with a long
wooden table, high-backed chairs, and crystal
chandeliers. The walls are adorned with
paintings and portraits of ancestors, giving the
room a sense of history and tradition.

Further into the mansion, a library is located.
The walls are lined with books, with a large
wooden desk situated in the center of the room.
A comfortable leather chair and a reading lamp
make it a perfect place to curl up with a good
book.

Jayden’s bedroom is located on the second
floor and is the epitome of luxury. The room
features a four-poster bed with a plush, velvet
canopy and silk sheets. The walls are covered in
a soft, muted wallpaper, and large windows
offer breathtaking views of the gardens. A large
en-suite bathroom features a claw-foot bathtub,
a walk-in shower, and marble countertops.

As I got ready for our date night, I couldn’t help
but feel excited to spend the evening with him.
We had planned to go to a fancy restaurant and
then catch a movie. As I walked out of my
bedroom, Jayden stood there looking dapper in
his suit and tie.

“Wow, you look stunning,” he said as he took my
hand and kissed it.

“Thank you, Jayden. You look quite handsome
yourself,” I replied with a smile.

After dinner, we headed to the cinema and
watched a romantic comedy. We both laughed
and enjoyed each other’s company. As the
movie ended, Jayden turned to me and said,
“Amy, I know we have only been together for a
short while, but I want you to know that I care
for you deeply. I want to be with you and make
a life together.”

I was taken aback by his words, but at the same
time, I felt my heart swell with love for him.
“Jayden, I feel the same way about you. You
have been my rock during these tough times,
and I can’t imagine my life without you.”

He leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips,
and in that moment, I knew that Jayden was the
one for me. As we walked back to our car,
holding hands, I couldn’t help but feel grateful
for the unexpected turn of events in my life.

**************************************

Jayden was different from James in so many
ways. He was patient, kind, and understanding.
He listened to me and always made an effort to
make me feel special. He wasn’t the type to run
away from his problems, and he was always
there for me when I needed him.

As we spent more time together, I started to see
a different side of Jayden. He was funny and
charming, and he knew exactly how to make me
smile. I loved spending time with him, and I felt
so comfortable around him. It was like we had
known each other forever.

One day, Jayden surprised me with tickets to
Paris. It was something I had always dreamed
of doing, but never thought I would get the
chance to do. We spent an entire week exploring
the city, trying new foods, and making
memories.
As we walked through the streets of Paris, hand
in hand, I knew that I had found my happily ever
after. I was ready to put in the work and make
this successful.
We were back to England in a week and as I lay
on my bed, I couldn’t help but think about how
much my life has changed in the past few
months. From running away from my problems
with James to finding love and stability in
Jayden. I knew I needed to move on from my
past and focus on my future with Jayden.

JAYDEN’S POV

As I saw Amy walking towards me with her
beautiful smile, I knew I was a lucky man. She
was my fiancé, and I was head over heels in
love with her. It has been a tough and long ride
throughout the last few months. She had
thr_@tened and was even at the verge of calling
off our engagement but she layer came back to
me. Everything happened because of James
and I was glad that he was out of her life
forever. We were going to discuss the wedding
venue, and I wanted everything to be perfect for
her. We have spent almost the last two months
with me and we now live in the same house
because of the wedding preparations but we
still have not figured out a venue fir the wedding
yet.
We were at a nearby cafe grabbing coffee on a
fine summer day.

As we sat down in the coffee shop, I couldn’t
take my eyes off her. She looked stunning as
always, with her curly hair falling effortlessly
over her shoulders.

“So, have you thought about where you want to
have the wedding?” I asked, trying to sound
casual.

Amy smiled at me. “Actually, I was thinking
about having it in New York. I know it might be
a bit of a hassle for you, but I just can’t imagine
getting married anywhere else.”

I laughed. “No, that’s fine. I’ll do wh@ťěver it
takes to make you happy. New York it is.” Even
though my parents would ki|| me if we have the
wedding in America, I was willing to do
anything for her, including displeasing myself to
please her
Our relationship has grown from a mere
arranged marriage to a proper relationship. I
find myself thinking about her at the slightest
and she makes me so happy. James was a fool
for letting her go. I was willing to fight for her
through the ends of the earth. I like her and dare
I say it, I think I love her and she absolutely has
no idea.

We talked about the wedding for a while, and I
could see the excitement in her eyes. She was
ready to start a new chapter in her life, and I
was honored to be a part of it.

As we finished our coffee, I looked at her and
felt a surge of love for her. I wanted to scream
and tell her how in love with her I was. I didn’t
know how to but I decided to try.
“Amy, I just want you to know that I love you.
And I promise to make you the happiest woman
in the world. Listen. I know you are still healing
from James and all the drama and I want you
to know that I would never lie to you. You don’t
have to tell me that you don’t love me right
away. I can wait.” I told her.

She smiled at me, and I felt my heart skip a
beat. “I think I’m beginning to love you too
Jayden.”

As we left the coffee shop, I couldn’t help but
feel grateful for having her in my life. I knew I
would do anything for her, and I couldn’t wait to
spend the rest of my life with her…..
