DON’T GO RONA!!
Valentine held anger in his eyes as he stared at the girls.
“Touch her again and regret it” Valentine said angrily and walked there.
Rose bit her lips as she looked at him, even in his angry state he was looking more segzy.
“Do you girls drive joy in bullying everyone?” Valentine asked.
“What is your business here?” Charlotte replied rudely, and Rose held her hand secretly as a sign that she shouldn’t shout at him.
Charlotte rolled eyes and removed her hand.
“My business here is that you are bullying this girl” Valentine said.
“You don’t have the right to tell me what to do Valentine” Charlotte smirked at his face.
“Charlotte!” Rose scolded.
“I’m disappointed in you two, Stella and Rose, it’s normal for everyone to be stupid at times but you girls are taking your stupidity too far” Valentine snapped and grabbed Rona’s hand, taking her away.
“That bastard” Charlotte said angrily, glaring at Valentine.
Rose was sucking on her bottom lip, feeling bad that her crush caught her bullying someone and another part was angry that she just saved a random girl, he hadn’t smile or talk friendly with her.
“I know you are crushing on Valentine but that doesn’t mean you will become stupid because of him” Charlotte said and walked away.
“Hey, are you okay?” Valentine asked as he faced Rona.
“I’m fine, thank you for saving me” Rona replied.
“Are you a student here, your face is new?” He asked.
“No, I only came to watch the students”.
“Why?” He asked, looking at her.
The girl here in his presence was looking so pretty and innocent.
“It’s my dream of going to school but it’s baseless so I came here from time to time to watch the students and the lecturers” She replied, taking in her lower lip.
“I have to go now” She said and ran away immediately.
“Hey, what is your name?” Valentine shouted but she was already gone.
“She ran so fast, I didn’t even get to know her name” Valentine smiled and turned to go but bumped into Valentino.
“What are you doing here?, I have been looking for you” Valentino said.
“Let’s go” Valentine said, smiling and Valentino squinted his eyes, it’s rare for Valentine to just smile for no reason.
<A RESTAURANT>
Rona got inside the restaurant and smiled as she saw the manager.
“Rona” The woman smiled as she walked to her.
“Ma’am” Rona said and hugged her.
“I thought you weren’t coming” She said and hugged her back. She has taken interest in her and it’s something she can’t place her on.
“I was doing something” Rona lied and bit her lips. Actually she didn’t plan to come to the restaurant today but after what happened in the university she decided to come here.
“Am I too late?” Rona asked, raising her head up to look at her face.
“No, you can go ahead and serve, cutie” The woman replied and touched her.
“Thank you ma’am” Rona said cutely and broke the hug, running to the changing room.
The woman smiled as she walked away.
<TWO HOURS LATER>
Shane came out of the lecture hall, he had just finished having a lecture with the first year students.
His right hand was in his right pocket as he walked. His steps were exuding segziness as he walked. A straight gaze plastered on his face.
“Shane” He heard a familiar voice behind him.
He turned and faced the person to beheld a female professor, his colleague.
“Veronica” Shane said.
“Done with a class?” She asked, smiling.
Shane looked at her and almost scoffed. What’s the reason behind her smile?
“Yeah, what about you?” He replied, already losing interest in the conversation. He doesn’t like talking much.
“Having a class in the next thirty minutes, can we eat lunch together?” She asked, licking her lips as she stared at his face.
“No, I’m not interested” He replied flatly and walked away.
“Always so uptight but segzy” Veronica smiled.
Shane got into his office and sat down and immediately he heard a voice in his ear stud.
“Boss, it’s Storm” Storm said.
“What’s it?” Shane asked.
“An exchange at old port, 9pm” Storm replied.
“Get off the line” He said.
His head rested on the chair and he closed his eyes.
His mind drifted to Rona and he opened his eyes back.
He took a magazine on the table and started reading.
He was reading the magazine when his phone buzzed on the table, he stretched his hand and picked it to see a message from Jonathan.
THERE’S A ROBBERY GOING ON IN MY PLACE RIGHT, IT’S NOT ACTUALLY IN MY HOUSE BUT A POOR NEIGHBOR, PLEASE COME NOW, IT’S NOT A PRANK
Shane scoffed afterward reading the message. Could this be one of his pranks?
He dropped the phone and continued reading the magazine, but his mind couldn’t leave the message.
“Nathan, I will skin you alive if you play a prank on me again” He said and stood up, leaving the office.
<JONATHAN’S PLACE>
Jonathan was pacing restlessly in his room as he looked through the window, expecting to see Shane’s car any moment from now.
He wanted to call him but what if someone hears him.
“Is he not coming?” He tapped his leg on the floor.
“I blame myself, maybe he thought I’m pranking him again” Jonathan said and was about to type another text when his car drove into the compound.
He sighed in relief.
Shane got out of the car and entered his house.
“The text, is it true?” Shane asked.
“Yes, the next house” Jonathan replied and threw a mask at him.
“Okay” Shane wore the mask and took out his favorite babies.
He walked out of the house and started walking to the next house. He got to the door and truly there was a robbery going on there. He heard the tears of a woman and a child.
He kicked the door and barged inside.
The guys were startled as they turned towards the door.
His eyes went to the woman on the ground, her child in her hands. He would be like 3- 4 years. A gun was pointed to her head and she was crying.
He directed his eyes to the guys.
“Who are you?” One of them asked, and immediately his skull was blessed with a bullet.
He fell down as his innocent blood wet the ground.
The rest of the guys began $h00ting at him, he quickly took shield behind a large table.
He raised his two babies up and two guys went down flat at the same time.
“Come out, bastard” The last man standing shouted.
He was about to make a move when Shane landed in his front. His eyes widened. What!!.
“What do you have to say?” Shane asked as his devil’s eyes got activated.
The guy quickly tried $h00ting him but he held his hand and broke his wrist at once.
“Ahhhh!!” He cried painfully.
Shane gave him a punch at the chest and he flew far away from him, crashing his back on the wall of the house. He fell down with a bleeding mouth.
“People like you are the reason why the world isn’t balanced” Shane said, walking to him.
“Please don’t ki|| me, please!!” The guy begged.
Shane roughly lifted his face up and he forced him to fall on his knees.
“You don’t beg the devil for mercy” Shane said darkly and snapped his neck at once, a crushing sound was heard as his neck broke, he fell to the floor on his face.
The boy made a sound and Shane moved closer. The woman shifted fearfully.
“I’m not here to harm you” Shane said, reducing the tension of his dark voice.
“Thank… Thank you”.
The boy looked at Shane’s face and quickly released himself from his mother’s hands and ran to him.
He hugged his waist since he wasn’t tall enough.
“Uncle” The boy said and Shane looked at him.
Shane touched his hair and the boy released a smile.
Shane took his little hands off his waist and walked out of the house.
Yes, he may be a devil but he doesn’t ki|| for no reason, he h@ťěs rapists and arm robbers, he h@ťěs evil against another human being, that’s why he’s a different devil.
“Got them all ki||ed?” Jonathan asked and Shane nodded.
Jonathan moved closer to him and started checking his body for a scratch.
“You ki||ed them without even getting a scratch?”.
“What did you take me for? They aren’t trained arm robbers”.
“What was I even saying when it’s Lucifer himself” Jonathan said and laughed.
Shane frowned and removed the mask.
“An exchange at 9pm, Old Port” Shane said.
“I’m going..
“You’re not going, it’s too dangerous” Shane cut him off.
<CLINTON UNIVERSITY•• HALL WAY>
“Angelique” Valentino called loudly as he sighted Angelique. Angelique turned and immediately she saw it’s him, she continued walking away.
“Valentino is calling you” Erica said and Angelique glared at her.
“Hey Angelique” Valentino held her hand as he got to them.
“What?” She turned to him angrily.
“Why the harshness?” Valentino smiled.
“I h@ťě your smile” Angelique said and rolled eyes.
“Hello pretty Erica”.
“Hello pervert Valentino” Erica replied and he released a handsome smile.
“You have an ugly smile” Angelique said and took her hand away.
“You are the first girl to say I have an ugly smile, girls are dying for this yunno” He replied proudly.
“I’m not a girl, I’m a mature lady” Angelique scoffed.
Erica was holding herself from laughing as she looked at them.
“I guess you are hungry for saying I have an ugly smile, you can’t see clearly”.
“You!!” Angelique yelled.
“Lunch on me, it’s my treat, girls” Valentino said.
“Do you go around treating girls at lunch?”.
“No, but you are special, do you know why?” He asked as a naughty smile formed on his face.
Erica was expecting the words he would say.
“Why?”.
“Cos you have a big @zz” He replied.
Erica bursted into laughter, she was expecting him to say those words.
“What!! Wh@ťěver”.
“Let’s go ladies” He smiled.
“Is that not Valentino?” Rose asked, pointing towards them.
Stella’s eyes went there, jealousy and anger kicked in as she folded her fist.
“That Ɓîtçh, I will teach her a lesson” Stella said with jealousy.
<SHANE’S PLACE>
Shane was in the kitchen trying to cook but for an hour now he has been standing in the kitchen. He looked at his phone and the time was just 8pm, meaning he had just one hour left to leave for the exchange.
He was salivating for the spaghetti Rona gave him and he tried cooking it but he has been doing rubbish.
“f_ck, I can’t do this and that’s what I want to eat” He said.
He looked at the pot and spaghetti pack on the counter.
He roughed his hair and got a roll of weed but immediately he heard a knock on his door.
He dropped the weed and walked out of the kitchen. Strangely he started wishing it would be Rona that is knocking.
She’s the only one that has come to his house anyway apart from Jonathan.
He got to the door and opened and there she was.
He felt a tingle of happiness in him when he saw her.
“Rona” He called but she wasn’t looking at his face.
“I’m sorry to disturb you, I’m here for the two flasks” She said, looking sideways.
Is she angry at him?
“Okay, you can come in” He said.
“No, I’m fine here” See replied.
Rona knew deep within her that she was trying her best not to stare at his face, she missed his face but what if he get angry and shout at her again.
“Okay” He replied, knowing very well that something was wrong.
Cos she’s the very first girl to come close to him without being scared of him but maybe his dark side awakens the fear in her.
Shane walked back to the kitchen and got the two flasks, he came back with it and gave it to her.
“Thank you” She said and turned to go, though she wanted to stay and stare at his face but.. She has to leave.
She took just two steps when his voice stopped her.
“Don’t go Rona” His voice came softly and her heart skipped beats
