Hazel stepped out of her room and looked around the broad hallway to see if anyone was around; luckily for her, the hallway was empty as the servants had all gone to bed. She quickly tiptoed down the hallway to the room at the end where Elijah was staying.

The door opened and Elijah stepped out, he tried to speak but Hazel muffled him and then sneaked in immediately, before closing the door.
“Can I talk now?” he asked enthusiastically. “And didn’t your brother say we can’t stay in the same room? What if he sees you?”
“Yes, it is sound proof in here so no one would hear us,” Hazel replied with a smile. “And don’t worry about my brother, he didn’t see me coming.”
