Chapter 47
“It is a lie,” Orla argued while laughing.
“No, it is not, you can vibe me if you doubt,” Hazel tried to convince her.
It was late at night and Hazel was still around because Logan was yet to come back, he said he had left the office like three hours ago, so Orla was curious on what was taking him so long, he should have gotten here like an hour and forty minutes ago.
She didn’t want to stay here all alone as she feared she would m@$tvrb@te and then feel guilty afterwards, so to prevent that from happening, she pleaded with Hazel to stay a bit longer, but since it was already this late at night, Hazel has no other choice than to spend the night here today.
The two had really had a great time today, from the kitchen to the swimming pool, the sitting room where they watched movies and the bedroom where they gossiped about their men’s prowess in bed and a few relatable issues from their past experiences.
Yeah, Logan’s sister had such a vibe, and there was perfect chemistry between her and Orla, they were both crazy to some extent and had similar choices in life. The only difference was their background.
“So what did he do after that?” Orla asked curiously
“Oh, well he just walked behind me slowly and whispered sweet things in my ear, I felt these butterflies dancing in my stomach, it was a feeling like never before. Oh good lord, when he kissed behind my earlobes, I went weak on my knees and it was so embarrassing that he had to hold on to me so I wouldn’t fall,” hazel narrated enthusiastically.
“Hahaha, you should definitely keep him. Only few men still know how to make a woman feel such things, the others just care about sticking their d@mn pipes in your @zz and filling it with their nasty Com,” Orla spat and Hazel burst into laughter.
“Well, you can say so… now my turn to ask the questions, what about my brother? You have been avoiding discussing that for a while now, I noticed,” Hazel asked with a mischievous smile on her face.
“Haha, well I just think it is awkward to discuss your brother’s bedroom capabilities with you, isn’t that weird to you?” she asked.
“Sweetheart, everything about me is weird, so one more wouldn’t hurt. Come on, tell me already, is he good, like really good? Like good goody good? You get it?” she asked excitedly while Orla blushed.
Just then she heard the sound of the blaring horn and she jumped up immediately. “Oh, Logan is back, I should go open the gate for him,” she said immediately.
Hazel burst into laughter. “I see what you did there, alright you escape today, but I will get you to talk some other day you shy little princess,” she teased.
Orla giggled as she hurried to the door, “Aren’t you coming to welcome your brother missus?” she taunted.
“No, I don’t want to be the third wheel that would only get oppressed by you two. Take your time with your boyfriend and tell him that I have gone to bed, I will see him tomorrow,” Hazel replied with a smile.
Orla nodded and then rushed out of the room; she was glad that Logan arrived just at the time that he did, she was indeed saved by the horn. She walked out of the building which was still cold like a graveyard and headed for the gate.
Logan had instructed her to keep the gate locked from the inside until he returned just for precaution, even though a strong werewolf could easily jump over the fence, but that would be more difficult than letting them just walk through the gate.
Orla opened the gate immediately and Logan drove in immediately, he seemed impatient and Orla wondered why, not like he ever rode slowly but this was different.
Orla closed the gate and went to meet him; he had already alighted from the car. He swept her up in his arms immediately and kissed her.
“Hey sweetheart, I missed you a lot today,” he exclaimed with her still in his arms, her hands around his neck.
“Awn, I can see that, but it seems like there is something more, I can sense it,” Orla said sweetly while looking him in the eyes.
Logan smiled and put her down. “Well there is more, but I think we should go inside for it,” he replied.
“What? No, I want to hear it, like right now, please,” she insisted.
Logan sighed and hit his palm on his face. “You are so stubborn. Okay, I have good news, I think I found a solution for your addiction problem,” he said with a grin.
The smile on Orla’s face changed to a look of doubt. “Huh? You did?” she asked immediately while looking back to see if Hazel was around, just like hazel was keeping her problem a secret, Orla didn’t also want her to find out about hers.
“Yeah, what is with the look? Aren’t you alone?” Logan asked curiously.
“Oh, no… Hazel couldn’t leave today anymore, she stayed back but don’t worry, she is in the bedroom. So tell me what this solution is,” she requested.
“Oh, okay. Um, the thing is that I consulted a few therapists and they all suggested that I got you to rehab, so I registered you for a segz addiction recovery program in a center that is in the next city, that is why I am late, I am just coming from there,” he announced.
Orla went quiet the moment she heard that, Logan tried to touch her but she took a step backwards with her face down.
“Orla, what is wrong? I thought this is what you wanted?” Logan asked with a look of surprise but she didn’t reply. She was suddenly cold and he couldn’t understand why.
“Look, I didn’t mean to hurt you in any way with my words or intention, just in case I have, I am really sorry,” he apologized.
“No it is not that Logan, you have not done anything wrong, I am just scared of going to rehab. Aside from how frustrating I have heard it is, I am going to be away from you for months. How will I survive?” she asked and broke down in tears.
Logan sighed and walked closer to her, he pulled her to his chest and hugged her. “it is okay, Orla… you don’t need to be worried about any of that, I am going to pay you a visit once in every three days so you would get to see me, and as for how long you would stay there, I asked the management and they said it was a month program. You just have to go through this and then we can finally be happy together without any other issues, we can get mated and have children and live for an eternity,” he added jokingly and she blushed amidst tears.
“I am going to miss you,” she cried and Logan hugged her tighter.
“It is okay, Orla, it is for the best. Everything is going to be fine, I promise it will, you just have to be strong, you have to be strong for us.” He said assuredly and consoled her.
After a few minutes of standing and crying in his embrace, she let go and stopped crying. “When do I leave?” she asked, it seemed like her mind had been made up, she had thought about it and understood that it was her only option to be really happy in life.
Logan smiled and caressed her face. “Tomorrow, if you want to get it done sooner than later, unless you wish otherwise then whenever you are ready,” he replied.
“Alright then, tomorrow it is,” she concluded with a strong heart.
That night was a very emotional one for them, they made love countless times and Orla would not stop clinging unto Logan, she stayed awake the whole night staring at his face when they were not having segz and crying in silence, she had not been that emotional in a very long while.
It was the desire to be with him forever that gave her courage to agree to embark on this one month of pain and anguish. Yes, she knew what happens in rehab, she would be denied the very thing she is addicted to and at times, she would feel like she was going to go insane, but she was ready for that, she was ready to make that sacrifice for the greater good.
