Chapter 42
Orla coughed and opened her eyes, she felt a bit dizzy and her sight was blurry. She tried to recognize her surroundings but it was strange to her, everything in the room was white, the paint, wallpaper and even furniture, the light as well.
Was she dead? Okay, maybe not… I mean, the underworld wouldn’t look this good, right? Haha!! Yeah, not funny
She tried to sit up but felt a sharp pain on her arm, that was when she realized that it had been wrapped with a bandage, then it dawned on her, she wasn’t dead, she was in a hospital, tucked into a blanket on a sick bed… but who could have saved her miserable @zz? She had tried so hard to end this life and believed that she had succeeded in finding peace, looks like she was wrong; she was back to square one.
Did Logan come back for her or was it one of the servants that had found her? Well, whoever it was had just given her another chance at life, but was she worth it? Only time can tell, but she doubted so
Orla looked around but she was all alone in the room. The funniest thing was that even after everything that happened, she was still horny. Looks like her body didn’t give a d@mn about her predicament, that was another funny thing about being a female werewolf, she was going through her heat period and that was why her whole body was hot and craving for segz.
Being a female werewolf in the 21st century was quite a lot of trouble, which was why many of them were dropping their supernatural abilities and becoming human, they were given up on their identity… maybe she should have done the same, but even as a human, she would still have to contend with her libido.
Orla was still in thoughts when the door opened, her heart flipped in fear that it was Logan; she didn’t think she was ready to face him yet, she felt guilt and shame knowing that he would be disappointed in her. If she had succeeded in dying, then at least she wouldn’t have had to see his face.
However, the person at the door wasn’t Logan, it was the Doctor. He was dressed in a blue garment and a white robe on top, with his hand gloves on and his face mask intact.
Orla scoffed at the sight of that; why would he need a face mask with her? He made it look like she had some deadly disease that he wouldn’t want to be infected with, she had only cut her arm and if not for the Wolfsbane, she would have been completely healed by now.
“Good evening Mrs. Stewart, you are finally up? I just wanted to see how you are doing before going off for my shift, I didn’t expect that you would be up already,” he said as he took off the mask.
Orla felt more comfortable now that he had taken the mask off. “You didn’t? Why?” she asked curiously while trying to ignore being called Mrs. Stewart; I mean she obviously loved the sound of that that she couldn’t help but smile inwards.
“Well, it is a miracle that you are still even alive, let alone conscious. By the time your husband brought you here, you had lost almost every drop of blood in your body, we had to give you a refill really quick but even at that, I am sorry to say this but I doubted you would survive. Now please don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish for my patients to die, I am just saying that your recovery is a miracle that I am still trying to wrap my head around,” he replied with a smile.
Orla blushed. Of course she was a werewolf, even with the Wolfsbane in her system; she would heal faster than an average human. Just by the way, did Logan really register her name as his wife? She was blushing!
“I guess miracles happen after all,” she joked and he chuckled.
“Yeah, please get some rest, I would send a nurse to check on you shortly so that we can know when you will get discharged, I can see you are already getting uncomfortable here,” he said and smiled.
Orla laughed softly, he must have seen her restlessly trying to come out of the blanket when he walked in. she just nodded with a smile.
“Alright then, it was nice to meet you, Mrs. Stewart, and I must say you are lucky to have such a loving husband, don’t tell him I told you but he was in tears when he brought you here,” the doctor said with a wink and Orla couldn’t help but blush.
She laughed softly. “Sure, it is our secret,” she replied.
The doctor chuckled and then turned away, Orla smiled as she watched him leave, she thought about his words and couldn’t help but blush more; she was foolish to try end life, she would have caused Logan a lot of pain for the sake of her own peace of mind; that was selfishness.
She was really beginning to regret her actions, if she had died, then she would have ruined more than one life; what was the need of coming into his life if she was going to leave him? Yes, she didn’t want any of this to happen but she was still at fault to an extent, Logan’s only crime was falling in love with a nymphomaniac coward like her.
Orla feeling bored forced herself to sit up, the pain in her arm wasn’t severe anymore and she could feel another life within her, so she guessed that her wolf was up, of course, if it wasn’t up, she won’t have gone into heat; oh $h|t, the animal would be mad at her!!
No one loves being forced to sleep, she had practically sedated the animal to sleep against its wish, now she was guilty for that as well, and she had a lot of apologizing to do.
Orla’s eyes caught sight of a large banner on the wall, with the image of a naked man in the purpose of describing the male anatomy, she paused and swallowed hard, her heart jumped and her hormones spiked.
Just then, the door opened and a male nurse walked in.
“No, please not now,” Orla muttered to herself with fear flickering in her eyes, she hoped that what she was scared of wouldn’t take place.
