CHAPTER FORTY: GOING TO THE PAST 2
Chloe shake her head, watching myself cry won’t do anything, I really have to find out other things before time runs out, walking out of the forest, I fasten my steps to catch up with Thanatos, even from his walks one could tell how frustrated he is.
” Thanatos” macaria gasp the moment he open her chamber door with force ” what do you think you’re doing?”
” what did you say to Chloe ”
” why do you care?” She $h00t him furrow brows ” aren’t you supposed to be begging, begging for my forgiveness ”
” macaria!!!!”
” she is my sister!!! You can not play with two sisters, no body does that ”
” are you listening to yourself?” Thanatos move closer ” you never loved me, you kept me just to entertain you!!! No body does that!”
” you were still mine, Chloe knew that!”
” stay away from her macaria, if I hear you touch another hair on her skin” Thanatos growl, the entire rooms shake ” I will ki|| you!”
” what do you think?” Her eyes dilated, showing signs of fear ” do you think am scared of you? Do you possibly think you can do to me wh@ťěver you wish and I will not respond?”
” you will do as I say ” Thanatos storm out of the room, my gaze move to a smiling macaria, she fold her hands and nod calmly, she is not one bit intimidated by him, she knows fully well how she can get to him
” watch and see Chloe, I will make father despise you!!!” I wanted moving but couldn’t, the environment I find myself is in a throne room, where Hades is seated, macaria stood at his right hand side injured.
I look down and stare at Chloe, she knelt down, look defeated ” Chloe ” Hades growl was terrifying ” don’t tell me you did this to your sister because of a man!!!”
” you are misunderstanding father!!!” I watch myself try to fight back” I can not even lay a finger on you ”
” do you dare to say that macaria is lying?”
” yes!” My voice loud ” she is trying to frame me, I did leave Thanatos when she asked me to, I did exactly as she said and now she speaks nothing but lies ”
” father, don’t believe her, she is trying to turn things on me, why will I go so low to hurt myself just to frame her, what will I gain?” Macaria cry and I roll my eyes, of course… As Hades favorite daughter, he will listen to her
” Chloe ” Hades mumble ” your punishment is banishment to earth for a thousand centries ” if that was my punishment, how come people keep talking about a curse?
Before I could think further, Thanatos walk into the throne room, anger in his eyes ” what right do any of you have to punish Chloe!!!”
” lower your voice ” Chloe stood up and yell at him but he didn’t listen
” is love a crime? Why did you get married if it is? You even kidnapped your brothers daughter!!!” That must be what angered Hades
” you dare speak about love to me?” Hades smile ” if your love is so strong, how about you two conquer this, Chloe will be cursed to live in earth for centuries, with a sick human body, she will keep being born to suffer, die and be reborn again just to fall in love with you and die in pain all over again ”
Thanatos furrow his brows ” take that back ” he moved closer, one could tell that he is ready to fight Hades, Chloe hold his hand, shaking her head
” the moment you two stay together, Thanatos will die and only then will Chloe curse end ” all these is not fair, macaria stood behind smiling, i wanted objecting, when I open my mouth, no words came out, all empty sounds, i shouldn’t even call it sound.
” that way Chloe” Hades smile ” you can be Thanatos bride ” that was a lame way to put it, I will be the cause of his death as his bride.
” macaria won’t go free ” Chloe look at Hades ” I also curse her, she will be alone all her life, no one will ever fight d her beautiful, ever again!!!!”
Macaria growl ” how dare you!!!!”
” her curse is nothing” Hades smile when I fall down , vomiting blood ” I guess it’s time for her to die and be reborn”
My last words were to Hades ” you are the worst father anyone can ask for…. I hope you lose everything one day”
Tears drop from my eyes and my heart hurt, the condition am in right now is not good for such hardships clenching my hands to my chest, I close my eyes and by the time.e I open them again.
i find myself somewhere else, i watch how all my life end, the different rare disease, they birth me with, i will do and each life…… I truly did end up loving Thanatos.
Once I was even his maid but he didn’t even $h00t me a single look, more like he forgot about me…… My fifth life did took a different turn, it was then I met Clifor in a forest, weirdly I was born to be their queen, in that life, I remembered everything about my past, I avoid Thanatos and fought a huge war knowing I will die anyway.
Why did I pass through all these pains? I know what it feels like to die that I am even tired of the phrase death….. Throughout all the memory lane, it was only in my fifth life that I caught Thanatos staring at me, he hide and watch Chloe with sad eyes.
It hit me, I might not be the only one hurting.
Thanatos look at his mother” what do you think you’re doing?”
” telling her the truth!!!”
Standing up, I growl ” what the hell do you mean? Are you trying to push her away, are you trying to see me the way I was centries back!!!”
” is for your own good!!!!”
” my good?” I growl ” how do you know what is good for me!!! Do you really think the God of death can die? Why do you believe such outrageous things ”
” haven’t you heard prevention is better than cure ”
” you are my mother, that is why am warning you ” I frown ” stay out of my life” after that, I rush out of the dining hall towards Chloe chamber
Opening her room door, I frown at her, she curled herself on the floor crying ” Chloe?” I move close, bend down and touch her hand ” Chloe ”
” is it a crime to live?” She lift her head and meet my gaze, I just knew that she has remembered everything ” why am I passing through so much pain just because I loved you”
” Chloe ”
” why am I the only one suffering, am the only one feeling pains, am the only one crying ” she shake her head ” the world is unfair to me!!!”
” am sorry ” a tear drop from my eyes ” for being too weak to protect you, forgive me Chloe ” my heart hurt ” forgive this weak man”
