CHAPTER FOUR: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER 3
Thanatos stare at her, even when he could see how her body tremble with fear, no tears seem to be in those eyes, dark…like a lonely night ” please ” she plead for the second time but I didn’t move closer, I notice how she clench her heart to her chest.
She bite her lower lip which only signifies the pain, she also has issues with her heart? Just how many problems do this woman have?
” Let me ” I lift her up in my arms, touching her forehead, I send her to sleep, easing the pain….my gaze travel back to her room, my eyes meet with the demon
” Clifor ” he mumble and I frown at that, looking back at Chloe I could understand everything, why they want her dead but couldn’t touch her, is this the reason they inflicted her with this pain?
Demons have irrational way of thinking, am sure they will never support her in staying alive, she has a long way to go in life and that certainly is none of my business, when it is time to for her to die, I will definitely escort her to the land of the dead.
Moving back to my chamber, whispering and rumors begin to spread, such like the fact that am sleeping with Chloe.

Walking into my room, I slowly drop her on the bed, shut the door, move back, I lean close before touching her forehead, she slowly open her eyes, she look around, her mind distorted at first before realizing where she is.
Those gaze meet mine again before sitting up ” why am I here?” She use her hands to cover her chest and move backwards ” it’s not even night yet ” while she kept spouting nonsense, I pull a chair close to the bed and sit down ” you can’t just behave as you wish!!!”
” Have you forgotten?” I relax on the couch ” you begged me to take you away, right after ki||ing your fiance” she remain quiet for awhile before speaking again.
” I didn’t ki|| him ”
I nod ” clifor did ” just like I suspected, that made her interest in me spike up, she look at me, confused as to how I know that ” don’t ask ” I speak before she could ” is just something I heard ”
” You can see demons?” I nod and she lean close, making me withdraw my face from hers, in this situation I could see how pink her lips are and her d@mn cleavage ” but how? Do they hunt you too?”
” No ”
” Are you their master?” She lean closer and I clear my throat, use my finger to push her forehead backwards, she move back and I could finally breath.
” Am not their master ” I frown ” I just happened to see demons from birth ”
” How old are you?’
I frown at that question ” that’s a bit personal Chloe ” I stood up ” excuse me, I have an appointment”
” With Freya”Chloe frown but they is no hint of jealousy in her eyes or voice ” why do you even like her?”
” Why do you care about who I find interesting?” Placing my hand in my pocket, I look at her ” do you like me?”
She scoffed, hurting my pride, just a little ” why would I?” Shaking her head, she look elsewhere” I have someone else I fancy ”
” Your late fiance?” I mumble and she frown, making me chuckle ” it was a joke ” walking out of the room, I shut the door, only then could I finally breath, if I had relax a little am sure she would have been able to see my true nature, what I really am.
Being close to her is dangerous, it’s something I shouldn’t let happen…..living with humans have been peaceful, I don’t need some little cursed girl to ruin it for me.
Moving in the hallways, I exhale at the sight of Freya, how she walks closer, I have been bidding my time inorder for me to take her essence, without it, her time will be limited, making her grow old in three days but it’s something that keeps my human form.
Seeing as she is looking young, beautiful and a perfect skin, it will be great ” milord ” she rush over to my direction ” I was hoping to see you ”
I smile ” let’s talk in the next room ”
” Next room?”
” Yes, Chloe happened to be sleeping in my chamber ”
” Oh ” and there it is, jealousy in her eyes ” as you wish ” walking into the next room, I smile at all the painting ” to think that father left this whole quarter just for you, you must really be close to him ” she turn around, staring at me
” He worship me ” I smile ” am more like a god to him ”
” Why?” She tilted her head backwards ” did you do him a huge favor”
” No ” I lean close to her, her face heat up, those cheeks turning red ” he just sees me like one ”
” Milord ” she look down ” I heard you have never kissed a lady before” and there it is, the question I have been waiting for ” may I ask why?”
Placing my hand under her chin, I made sure she looks at me ” those are rumors, will you like me to show you?” I didn’t wait for response before kissing her, she responded, wrapping her hands around my neck, closing my eyes I could feel her essence flow right into me, all her sweet years of youth, feel it building in my body.
It feels so right, the pleasure and everything, breaking the kiss I stare at her face, just in three days, it will be all wrinkled” thank you ” she blush, not knowing why I thanked her ” I hope you forget about this moment ”
She furrow her brows ” what do you mean ?”
” That’s just my wish” I touch her forehead, stood still and watch how her eyes rotate, after few minutes, i stepped back and watch how she moved without thinking, the moment she move back to her room, that’s the moment she will regain her senses, and forget about this moment.
Walking back to my room, I open the door only to watch Chloe looking through my drawer, she stopped and look at me, bite her lower lip before clearing her throat ” I was looking for….for…for” I watch her repeat same words while thinking of what to say, probably a lie.
” For what?” Walking in, I shut the door and look at her ” you want to use something to blackmail me?” From the way her eyes widen, I knew my guess was right.
” Nobody will agree to marry me ” she stood up ” everyone will think you have already gotten intimate with me, my reputation will be over ”
” Hmmm”
” You have to take responsibility for this ”
” So ” I walk closer and she had to lift her head to stare at me ” you wish me to marry you? You want to be mine?” Normally any woman will blush from this but she smile, an evil smile at that.
” yes ” she walk closer and I step back which surprises me ” marry me ”
What is wrong with this woman, each time we meet, she always proposes, what she said next made me chuckle
” am pretty sure I will be good in bed ” she step closer, I stop laughing and step back, realizing my back is to the wall, she lean close, the way her eyes look at me, she looks starving ” you will enjoy ” she wink. A smile creep into my face before I chuckle.
” I like to keep my body holy ” I joke and she shake her head.
” That’s not proper ” her hands touch my chest and my eyes widen, she look at me then withdraw her hands ” not when your body is still good ” she smile, looking so innocent.
These few days have become quite funny.
