CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX: CHLOE’S DILEMMA
Thanatos watches her, carefully on how she eats, even after answering my question, I still have thoughts she doesn’t mean it, but if she did….does that mean it’s fine for me to ki|| her? Is it okay for me to end her life so that I can get a meaningful and long-lasting one?
” Lord Thanatos” her voice brought me back to reality ” you haven’t eaten ”
” Indeed ”
” Aren’t you hungry?”
” I lost my appetite”
” Why is that?” She leaned close, so close that I could see her cleavage, clearing my throat, I looked elsewhere ” Are you sick?” Before I could respond to that, I watched her lean close and place her forehead on mine “Our temperature is the same” Our eyes lock ” You aren’t sick ”
Staring at her, I just realized how……before the thought will completely relax in my mind, I lean back on the chair, clearing my throat “You need to learn personal space ”
” Pardon”
“There are certain things you don’t do to people, even if they got married to you ”
” Milord ”
” If you’re done eating, go back to your quarters ” Watching her leave, I clench my hands to my chest, why do I keep getting nervous whenever she is that close….. Before even leaving for work, I kissed her so long that I thought I might give up my impurity
” This is not fair!!!!!!” I turn around only to notice that she returned “You definitely can’t keep pushing me away” What is she on about now? Isn’t she happy to see me alive and sound?
” Chloe ” I frown” it’s still bright in the sky, all complaints should be kept hidden for now ”
” But I just don’t understand you” she frowns” am a woman, I have needs” Standing up, I place my hands behind me and watch her carefully, how she keeps displaying her unique trait
” Needs?”
She stepped closer ” If you don’t let me have you ” she bit her lower lip ” Can’t you give me an 0rg@zm “The last sentence was low but I heard everything, my eyes widened halfway at the sound of that, also meant I will see her fully naked on the bed while I ……. Shaking my head, I clear my throat
” That’s just preposterous ” She lifted her head and looked at me
” Milord ” her feet move closer to my position ” am horny, I have been horny for days, even before this incident and I know, I have a lot of things to ask you” She exhales then continue ” Like who is Clifor and what destiny I keep hearing about but I can’t think straight”
” Chloe ”
” I want to make love to you Thanatos,” she said the words
” Shouldn’t a man say all these to you instead?” I step back, the way she is looking at me right now, it’s Obvious am the prey, I just realized why am scared of this woman….if she touched me now, I can’t say no… My body must remain pure
” Not when he keeps trying to remain a virgin for life!!” She yells, she h indicate how pissed she is right now ” I will see you tonight lord Thanatos ” she smiles “Have a fruit full day ” She walks away, leaving me with a nervous heart
What will happen tonight?
Clenching my hands I frown, why the hell do I feel like the woman in this d@mn marriage” This woman “Running my hands through my hair, I know for a fact that I have never met someone this bold, or this entertaining.
How can I ki|| her, if she does all this to please me….let me not fool myself, she simply wants to use me as a tool to cure her needs. Lifting my left hand, I stare at my wrist watch “It’s almost time”
” I can see you two vibe well ”
” Missouri” I mumble ” why are you here?” I look at her, she is seated on the bed, putting on a long black dress, blond hair tied in a low bun while those blue eyes sparkle with annoyance
” Shouldn’t you be happy to see me?” She rants and I walk back into the bed chamber ” You seem to like Chloe better ”
” Stay away from her ”
” Her aura begs me to touch her!!”
” She is not controlling it “My expression remains void ” I will appreciate it if you don’t touch what’s mine ”
” Why is that?” She stands to her feet “You don’t want her dying?”
” Death is something she attracts wherever she goes ” my voice calm ” and as you can see, she is with death…..even married to death ”
” I won’t make promises Thanatos” Missouri placed her hands on my chest, and our eyes remained locked ” You know how it’s difficult for me to ignore what needs me”
” On your way back ” I mumble ” tell Hades to leave Chloe alone, enough with the demons ”
” So you knew?” She smiled “You know her real identity and how it’s your fault that she has been cursed ”
” Don’t make me laugh ”
” I will try my best not to” Her lips engaged my cheek before she vanished, no…I had no idea who Chloe was, I had no idea she was the very person I had been looking for even while trapped in this ungodly place.
All these make sense now.
” Thanatos” Asmodeus walk-inn” You have an invitation”
” Invitation?”
” To the royal ball,” he smiles” This is the perfect opportunity, you can announce your divorce and I will tell everyone how Freya is mine ”
” Hmmm”
Chloe remained standing in the hallway, hands over her mouth “What was I thinking?” How can I say such a thing directly to his face, how am I so sure he won’t run away from me? It is true that I want more from him but isn’t this making me seem shameless?
” Shameless?” A voice startled me, looking around, but no one was in sight “You just stated what you want, am sure it’s better that way ”
I must be hearing things
” Oh no, you’re not hearing wrong ” the voice replied, as if reading my mind ” lord Thanatos is very shy, am sure he will run from you at some point ” Following the voice I stared at the painting that took my sight last time ” don’t worry, I don’t h@ťě you anymore ” she smiles
” What do you mean by him being shy? And how can you talk?” Is it a miracle?
” Oh no dear, it’s a curse ” she frowns “You’re naive, why isn’t he done with you yet?”
” What do you mean?”
” You’re still young, it’s shocking”
” Excuse you!! Am just twenty-three”
” You’re also not a virgin ” she grin” Why is he with someone that has been touched?”
” Why do you think you locked in that painting?” I frowned “Due to your trash lips ” she gasped and before she could say more, I walked away from her.
I remained in the library, hours had passed, and the sun already going to rest while I kept thinking.
I have no plan on regretting my actions, I slept with the love of my life, it happened just once, nothing fun about it, it was a painful experience and now I want something real with Thanatos……is it that bad?
Why does everyone keep saying things concerning that to me? Is not like I commit a grieving sin ” I shouldn’t think about all these, aside from segz ….. things are happening that I don’t understand “My forehead still feels heavy most times as if the third eye on my head is forcing its way out
Sitting down, I look outside the window, at how old woman keeps walking around, they keep doing chores even at their age…..I stare at one of them crying and shouting
” What happened to me, how did I get so old ” her voice was so loud that even I heard it from that far away, and then that lady’s words hit me……she said something about me still being young.
Could it be that it’s Thanatos fault, he turned all these young ladies old? That’s unbelievable.
Standing to my feet, I walk back to my chamber, am only going to his chamber to ask about this old woman, I have no plan of forcing him to touch me….. Which is why I need to shower and smell nice.

When am done I stared at my flushed face in the mirror, why was I this excited “am just going there to ask him a few questions, nothing else” Nodding my head to that, I fastened my steps back to his chamber, didn’t bother knocking before opening the door, walk in and shut it ” milord?” I stare at an empty room.
Is not fully night yet and he already ran away, is this how he h@ťěs it when I try to touch him? I won’t lie, it’s disappointing “Isn’t he too childish to run away? ” Mumbling I move to the bed and frown” It was just a silly joke ”
” You seemed serious” I turn and watch him, seated on the bed
” How you weren’t here, I mean I just looked at the bed and am sure it was empty ” I grumble but he just stood up and looked at me, as if trying to figure out my aim
” Chloe ” he leaned close,” you said something about wanting to touch me ”
” Y….yes ”
” Are you that eager? Am sure that was all you could think about”
My face flushed at the sound of that ” Of course not, I….I….I…I.. thought of other things too ”
” Like what?” He moved closer ” Tell me, what was it you thought……”
” Sucking you!!!” I had no idea when I said that, that too loud, my hands moved to my mouth and he stepped back with widened eyes.
