CHAPTER TWENTY ONE : CHLOE’S STRANGE DESIRES
Chloe remain still why being memorize into Thanatos gaze, for a slight second, he look different, calm and somewhat cute, his cheeks are red, could he be blushing? ” milord?” I mumble before touching his cheek, usually he will withdraw back but instead, he remain on his knees, looking at me, as if trying to figure me out.
” You look strange ” I touch his forehead and lean close ” are you alright?” He nod his head ” could it be fever” he shake his head, why do he suddenly look so cute like a child?
” You must be hungry?”
” Am worried ” he mumble ” you keep getting heart pains, what exactly is the problem?”
” Why are you asking that?” I frown ” I see no reasons why I should have such…
” I stop talking when I notice the look he is throwing my way, I clear my throat ” I have had heart disease right from birth, is something I had to deal with, I do have some herbs too ….my physician made specially for me, tho we haven’t discovered the cure yet ”
” Oh ”
” Milord ” I look at him ” are you really worried about me?” He didn’t reply, just stood up, his gaze didn’t leave mine either ” do you also feel worried for Freya?”
” Why do you ask such ”
” Because am just your second wife, Freya is the first woman you got married to”
” Chloe ”
” I know I have no right to get jealous but I am ” clenching my hands, I still don’t understand why I say all these to him, I also don’t get why I keep feeling like Thanatos belongs to me, like he is some object, my object that I get to keep, no one else should touch it.
Has reading too much dark romance novel mess with my head or something ” Chloe ” Thanatos voice brought me out of my thoughts ” I worry for you alone, that is something only you have ” I search his eyes but I can’t read them, it look normal, that’s what annoys me, he has lively eyes and still yet, no body can read them or what he means, it looks lively but same time dead of all emotions.
” I don’t believe you ”
” That’s all in your head ” he turn around to leave but I hold his hand, stopping him ” Chloe?”
” I want to be close to you at all times”
” Why!!!” He growl
” Am obsessed ” I mumble and stood up, moving close to him, he step back ” I don’t really understand my feelings but I really want to be seeing you always, I don’t want other people even getting your smile ” his back touch the wall, making him stand still and I move closer ” I h@ťě the thought of you even touching someone and strangely, I don’t love you ”
” Chloe ”
” How do I get rid of this possessiveness, it’s eating me up Inside ”
” I believe a man should be saying all these” Thanatos furrow his brows
” Is it wrong that I tell you how I feel ”

” Then I don’t care if it’s usually a man line, this might sound charming but am being dead serious ” I move closer ” if I do see you with some other woman, I will ki|| her, chop her bones and throw it away ”
” You do know you’re scary right?” He mumble, placing a finger on my forehead then providing space between us ” I don’t like you getting this close to me ”
” Why not?”
” You’re unbelievable scary for a woman ” he frown ” I dont belong to you, you really should stop placing such thoughts in your head ” I blink trying to understand him, all my life, I have been very honest, I really do find it hard to lie, I don’t know if it’s my flaw or a good thing but am sure I won’t be able to get rid of it anytime soon.
But I need to know if he even have a bit of emotions left for me in his heart.
” Am sorry ” mumbling I look at him ” I had no idea you h@ťě me ”
Thanatos watch her, how those eyes of hers seem sad but yet dry ” I had no idea you h@ťě me ” she mumble, her voice cracking a bit ” I just really wanted you to know how I feel ” she move her hands to her chest ” to tell you the truth ” her gaze meet mine again ” I wish to love you, can’t you make me love you? Is that too much of a task?”
” Hmmm”
” It feels like am about to burst” she point at her chest and my panic level once again increased ” it hurts ”
” Are you okay?” I place my hands on her chest ” is the pain unbearable, can you breath fine? Where are your herbs ” withdrawing from her, I wanted rushing to her room chamber but she stopped me, holding my hands again.
” Am fine ” a smile appear on her lips ” I just needed to check something” I furrow my brows at that, this woman, she keeps confusing me, I still barely know what goes on in that head of hers ” will you like to eat with me?”
” Eat?”
” Am starving ”
” Eat alone ” I pull my hands ” I have other things to do ”
” Why?” She move closer ” let me stay with you, I feel safe with you ” ignoring her, I walk out and I could hear her footsteps behind mine, for some reason, I don’t h@ťě it, a smile stain my lips in the process
” why is they no young lady here?” She ask, spoiling my mood ” everyone is old ”
” You have a good eye sight Chloe ”
” Anybody will notice it ” she reply ” so tell me ”
” The problem now ” I stop and look at her ” will you believe me if I tell you that it is I who take their youth from them?”
” No ”
” Why won’t you?”
” Because you’re my angel ” she smiled ” and I believe that you can’t do any thing bad ” I frown at that, she really do take me as a saint, someone who is innocent, too innocent to ki||…. Usually I would have h@ťěd someone thinking of me in such a way but right now, I want her to keep seeing me in such a bright light.
” You’re right ” I touch her head and she look at me ” I can’t do such ” I smile and she giggle.
” So what’s the reason?”
“I see most of them around the village, homeless and some jobless, decided to help them, giving them work and shelter ”
” You really are thoughtful” she move closer ” I do hope no one try to make use of your goodness for evil” I smile at that, that is something that can never happen. Being good is not for someone like me.
” Not possible” turning around, I continued walking back to my study room, on the way, I look at my wrist watch, almost evening time and from the smell in the atmosphere, up to fifty souls are about to go to the land of the dead.
Sitting down on my chair after arriving in the study room, I look up to notice Chloe, standing right in front of me, the table separating us ” what should I do?”
” What ever you wish to do ” I avert my gaze from her, looking through the documents for the recent land, I decided to own, the north and west empire war is drawing close
” You mean anything?”
” Indeed, as long as you don’t…..” Before I could complete my sentence, I could feel her hands on my hair ” what are you doing?”
” I have been meaning to touch your hair for awhile now, it’s really soft ”
” Stop it ”
” But you said I can do anything ”
” But not this ” I grab her hand and pull her around, our gaze meet ” anything but that ”
” Fine ” she lean close, kissing my cheek, I blink while she sit on my lap, wrap her hands around my neck ” It don’t seem I can stay without kissing you for a day ” I look at how flush her cheeks are ” should I kiss you?”
” Chloe?” I watch her lick her lower lip
” Just a slow kiss” she lean close ” it won’t last long” I patce my hands on her waist, pulling her closer, all that was in my head was to kiss her, I have reach a point that I don’t think I can say no when it comes to physical touch with her…..if she learns about this, am dead.
Everything happened so fast, the door to my study room open, revealing Asmodeus and me pushing Chloe off my lap to the floor, I stand up in the process, clearing my throat.
” Hey!!!” That was Chloe voice, she looked and sounded scarier than ever
