RILEY’S POV
I can’t believe Maddie would do such a thing to me. She betrayed me. I thought we were friends.
What am I gonna do? I’m so confused. Any seconds from now, my bra will removed and expose my body and I’m done for life.
No! I won’t let this happen, I must do something. Good thing no one noticed yet.
I made another pose and secretly cut the bra back strap totally and tied it together very well.
Phew!! So close!
I smiled happily at the audience and gave them a kiss in the air and walked across the stage, modeled my bikini again and catwalked back to the backstage as people cheered.
I’m still glad and surprised that people didn’t noticed my bra.
Other girls modeled their bikinis too and it was great.
I didn’t bother to talk to Maddie or anyone except Olivia, she’s the only one that loves me here. She’s my best friend.
Now the last part of the pageant is evening wear showcase, is evening wear showcase, we all went back to the dressing room, straight our wardrobe.
I opened my wardrobe to carry my dress.
“Oh come on!” I exclaimed, my green dress is totally stained with black ink.
Are you kidding me?!!!!
“What Ɓîtçh? Did they sabotage your stuff again?” Jenny laughed.
“Not funny Jenny.” Olivia said.
“Okay, who’s doing this stuff?” Stacy asked.
The manager walked in “What’s going on?”
“Someone keeps messing with Riley’s dresses so that she can lose.” Olivia told Sammy.
“What! Who’s doing this?” Sammy asked.
All the girls said that they are not the one, including Maddie and Jenny.
I believe Jenny can’t do this because she’s proud and always feel superior to everyone but Maddie, I don’t trust her again.
“Wh@ťěver, we have no time, Riley look for another dress to wear, maybe your interview wear and come to the backstage or you’re gonna be disqualified, sorry.” Sammy said “Come on, girls hurry up.”
All the girls wore their gowns and fixed their hair and makeup then they left the dressing room except Olivia.
“Sorry about the dress Riley, I promise whosever did this will pay, obviously it’s Maddie.” she said and hugged me tightly.
She disengaged the hug and left the dressing room.
I bent my head sadly as I sat down and begin to weep bitterly.
“Hey, Riley?” I heard her disgusting voice, Maddie.
She’s even dressed up, wearing her stupid plain white dress.
I gave her a death glare “What did you want?”
Maddie shrugged “I just feel bad for you, maybe I can help…”
“What’s going on in here?” my mom walked in.
I stood up and hugged me lying mom “Mom, I’m so sorry.” I cried bitterly.
“What’s wrong?” my mom asked.
“Someone keeps sabotaging your daughter’s dresses.” Maddie said before I could talk.
It’s you, Maddie Ɓîtçh!
“What about your gown?” my mom asked.
I wanted to talk again but..
“Someone ruined it with some black ink.”
“Can you please let me explain?” I snapped angrily at Maddie and she stayed mum.
“Are you saying that you don’t have any dress to wear?” my mom asked.
I shook head negatively “No mom, I have nothing to wear.”
My mom smiled “I guess you have no choice but to wear my gown.”
I grinned “You still have the dress.”
My mom nodded and gave me the box, I opened the box a little, it’s even a white rhinestone dress, so beautiful. My eyes is soaked with tears of joy, I hugged my mom tightly.
“Thank you mom, if not for you I would have quit, I’m sorry for not accepting this in the first place.” I sobbed.
“It’s okay Jelly Bean, now hurry up and win this pageant.” my mom said as we disengaged and left the dressing room.
“Okay mom.” I sniffed and glared at Maddie “At least someone won’t sabotage my stuff this time.”
Maddie frowned “What?”
I ignored her and went to the closet and was changing into the white deep v-neck sleeveless tulle rhinestone crystal beaded lace gown.
MADDIE’S POV
I can’t believe, Riley and I are wearing the same dress, we can get disqualified and I don’t want that for Riley.
I must do something, I check my pink cheer sport bag and brought out a bottle quick dry of black ink.
I took of my dress, good thing I’m wearing an white strapless underwear jumpsuit short.
I begin to use the black ink to draw flower patterns on the dress, good thing I can draw flowers only and I’m pretty fast, I also used my scissors cut off the sleeves to make it strapless. I think it’s perfect.
I lose this earlier during the interview time, I thought I lost it till found it on the floor.
30 seconds later I was done, I wore my dress, and put the ink bottle inside my bag.
“Wow!” I heard Riley’s voice.
I glanced at her and wow… She’s beautiful, her dress, her makeup and her curly hair brought out her real beautiful.
I smiled “Wow, Riley you look beautiful.”
Riley approached me looking angrily “You did this?”
I shrugged “Did what?”
«All pageant contestants must be at the backstage right now.» the manager announced.
Riley glared at me “I don’t wanna lose but after the beauty pageant, I’ll deal with you later so back off.” Riley pushed me and left the dressing room.
She didn’t even notice my new design on my dress.
What’s wrong with Riley? What did I do? Is it because I didn’t tell her the truth about that day I sneaked around the house? If that’s the case then I have to tell her.
RILEY’S POV
My eyes is filled with tears but I have to hold it. I don’t want it to ruin my makeup. I believe Maddie betrayed me.
I saw her with the bottle of black ink.
So she’s the one that ruined my dress, why is she so wicked? What did I do to her that I deserve this?
The both of us entered the backstage and saw the girls in beautiful gowns and amazing hair and makeup.
Jenny’s still glaring at me while talking to Vivian. Great I have two enemies in this pageant.
Her dress isn’t bad either, it’s a light blue off shoulder flare short sleeves crop top and a blue flare maxi tulle skirt. Nice!
Wendy smiled “Wow Riley, you look amazing, if I’m a lesbian I’ll surely date you.” Wendy teased and I laughed.
“Well, I’m glad you’re not.” I said and we both giggled.
“Okay girls, do the usual.” the manager said and we all queued up and the manager grinned “Wow Riley nice dress.”
I smiled “Thanks…”
“Okay, she’s beautiful, let’s get over it.” Jenny snapped angrily feeling jealous.
“First, Tania Logan!” the announcer said and Tania walked into the stage to show off her red off shoulder maxi tight dress, she made her cute pose and walked off.
The two girls did their own showcases, I catwalked into the stage using my two hands to hold my white gown, I spin once to make my dress fly a little.
People wooed and cheered for me and I smiled with confidence, I made my rounds and walked off the stage as people applauded.
I entered the backstage and Jenny pushed me a little “Move!”
I huffed “What a Ɓîtçh” I muttered.
Jenny catwalked into the stage confidently, trying to pose but she accidentally tripped and fell off on a cake that came out of nowhere.
I cringed, some people gasped, cringed, laughed and even made fun of her.
She stood up and ran out of the stage, crying and feeling embarrassed, she even left the backstage.
Poor girl, even though I don’t like her, I still feel bad for her.
Other girls made their rounds and it was excellent.
JENNY’S POV
I sat on a chair starring at myself in the mirror, crying.
Oh My Gosh, I look like a mess, my makeup is totally smudged on my face, the cake stains are still on my face. I look ugly. Oh!!!
This is so humiliating!! Thanks to the unknown Ɓîtçh.
She texted me that I should lose in the pageant by falling on the small piece of cake that she placed on the stage, I don’t even know how she put it there.
I wanted to refuse, I still insulted her but she is still adamant, she even thr_@tened me that she’ll hurt Dana if I say no.
Dana is my daughter, I had her when I was 14 years old, a 12th grade boy who’s currently in college or university, he told me to be his girlfriend but I said no, he keeps on bothering me but I refused then one day, he gathered his goons and he R@P£D me and ran out of the country.
I got pregnant and gave birth to Dana, I don’t wanna be embarrassed by my child and I don’t wanna lose her so I hired a nanny to take good care of her at her place.
No one knows about this, not even my parents because they don’t even have time for me, only Vivi knows about this.
I don’t know how this anonymous person knows about Dana.
My phone beeped, I checked it. Speak of the devil.
It’s the unknown.
Unknown ✉️ I’m glad you did that humiliating stuff.
Jenny ✉️ (rolls her eyes) You happy now?
Unknown ✉️ Oh yes, I am happy because you’re disqualified, you’ve done a lot of good things for me, you sent me the $30 million and you loosed for me, so nice.
Unknown ✉️ I’ll reward you by revealing myself to you.
Jenny✉️ What?
“Turn around.” I heard a familiar voice.
I turned and froze up in shock “Oh My God.”
RILEY’S POV
All of us lined up according to our heights and made a perfect pose on the stage, including poor Jenny and people cheered lightly for us.
The announcer walked in the stage with a golden card and stood in front of the microphone.
“Tonight we will announce the winner of this year Miss California Teen.” the announcer said and people cheered.
ASHER’S POV
I hope Riley wins the beauty pageant, she totally deserves it.
Because she’s beautiful, talented, amazing, priceless, rare and… I can’t find anymore words.
I’m a little annoyed that she showed off her bikini in front of everyone but who cares. I think she had a problem with it earlier but I felt that she fixed it.
I just hope she won just to disgrace that Ɓîtçh that is stealing Riley’s stuffs just for her to lose. I think it’s Jenny.
“All the ladies are absolutely amazing, by beauty, attitude, confidence and talents. Every single one of them deserves a great reward.”
Except Jenny, that girl is useless.
RILEY’S POV
“And before we announce the winner, the judges would like to award the contestants that they love and enjoyed.”
The judges went on the stage and each of them has a trophy.
“Hi everyone.” the first judge, Paul Sprouse “I would like to give this award to the most talented girl who doesn’t even wanna give up on her dreams but keeps trying harder till she made it here. The award goes to… Ria Newman!!!”
Ria jumped up and squealed loudly, the audience cheered for her, I smiled and clapped for her.
She happily received the trophy from the judge and they took a picture, the girl was shedding tears of joy.
She went to hug her friend, Courtney as they squealed happily.
The second judge, Quinn Shay came up “Hi everyone, I will like to give this award to the girl with vibes and sassy act, she adds vibes to anything she’s doing and she’s amazing. The award goes to… Wendy Petty!!!”
Wendy’s face was lit as she squealed, she begin to dance happily as she approached the judge, she received the trophy and she and the judge danced as they took a picture.
Wendy approached me and hugged me tightly “I’m so happy for you!” I squealed and disengaged, still holding each other’s hands.
The next judge, Tyler Nate came up “Hi everyone, I would like to give this special award to someone that is very special with beauty, spirits and not just that but wiseness, even though there’re any obstacle that is trying to stop her from winning this competition, she still nailed it because she’s natural. The award goes to… Riley Kendall!!!!!”
I screamed happily as I held Wendy’s hands tightly, she didn’t even care but squealing with me, Asher wooed loudly, my mom screamed “That’s my daughter!!!” as the audience are cheering for me.
I happily accepted the trophy from the glad judge, we took a photo and I returned to my spot in line.
I’m extra and beyond happy right now that a judge enjoyed my performance.
The last judge, Laura Ben came up “I would like to give this trophy to someone with passion and confidence. The award goes to… Maddie Lawrence!!!”
The wicked girl cheered happily, I clapped a little as she happily collected the trophy and took a picture and went back to her spot.
Announcer came up “Now ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to announce the winner for this year’s beauty pageant. All of the girls here did amazing and beautiful and they deserve to win but unfortunately they can’t because we only have the first and second runner up then the winner.” he said as the judges took some flowers and trophies and put them aside.
Last year’s Miss California Teen, Melody Rain in her diamond and golden crown.
Some men placed a blue and gold throne in the stage. Wow the winner will be very lucky if she wins.
The announcer stood beside the the throne as he brought out an envelope “Aright, here we go, so the second runner up is… Tania Logan!!!”
We all cheered happily for Tania as she accepted her flowers and trophy and took a picture.
“So Tania, you win $2000 gift card to Miss Lovely makeup stores all over the whole Los Angeles and and this gift basket.”
We all cheered once again for the happy Tania as she returned to her spot.
“Now the first runner up of this year’s beauty pageant is… Fiona Acosta!!!”
Fiona squealed as she accepted her flowers and trophy then took a picture.
“So Fiona, you just win a $6000 gift card to any Nivea cosmetic stores and a scholarship to study at Oxford University for a year and this gift basket.”
We cheered as usual for Fiona, Fiona hugged me, Wendy, Olivia and Maddie happily and went back to our spot.
“-And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The winner of 2022 Miss California Teen will be rewarded with chance to meet three of her favorite celebrities, win a scholarship to any college or university of her choice and a vacation to Hawaii for a month with a partner is…”
The announcer did a dramatic pause for effects putting us in suspense.
He smirked “Before I announce the winner, I wanna show you this commercial from Fred lobster…”
“Shut up and tell us the winner!!!” a girl yelled from the audience which made other people to be yelling and booing.
The announcer laughed “Okay guys, I’m kidding, okay?” everyone became silent again.
“And the winner of this year’s beauty pageant is…”
We are all anticipating.
“Riley Kendall!!!!!”
I screamed loudly and jumped higher like a mad person feeling happy as people begin to cheer, wooing and screaming, Asher and my mom stood on their feet and was cheering and wold whistling.
This is the best day ever!!!
I approached the announcer happily “Congratulations Riley, you’re the new Miss Teenage California of 2022”
They wore me a glittered white sash written ‘Miss Teenage California’ and I received three free tickets to Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Beyonce’s concerts with backstage passes for each of them, a scholarship letter from Stanford University and two tickets to Hawaii.
I’m gonna pick my mom because she seriously deserves this.
They made me sat on the throne as Melody Rain approached me and removed her Crown.
I closed my eyes tightly and squealed as Melody wore the crown my head.
Everyone cheered and applauded and tears of joy was sliding down my cheeks.
I can’t believe this moment, I can’t believe I’m now the 2022 Miss California Teen. I’m so happy..
I stood up and hugged Melody Rain, I shook hands with the announcer “Congratulations again Riley Kendall.”
“So how does it feel to be miss California?” the announcer asked.
“Really good, like I’m worthy and happy thanks to all of you, especially my mom and my boyfriend, Asher.” I squealed.
Everyone applauded.
“Congratulations Miss Kendall, and thank you all for coming to this year’s beauty pageant and if you wanna take pictures of the first and second runner up and the winner,you’re free to enter the backstage, goodnight Los Angeles” he said to the audience and walked out of the stage.
I squealed happily, all the girls congratulated me expect Jenny, I didn’t even answer Maddie congratulating me.
She’s acting as if she’s happy for me.
Maddie, it’s time for you to be exposed Ɓîtçh, no one messes with me.
