“I was the one who gave him my kidney not Nancy” Marissa said
♣CLIP OF THE PAST♣
Little Marissa was passing by Mrs Knight bedroom when she heard her talking to someone,she didn’t intend to eavesdrops but when she heard Alex name been mention
“We have to find Alex a donor sooner,I can’t loose my only son” Mrs Knight said worriedly
“Don’t worry I will increase the price,I don’t know why donor are hard to find,we are running out of time” Mr Knight sigh
Young Marissa quickly leave when she didn’t hear any noise
“Alex has a disease,I have to ask him” she said
“Tell me do you have a disease” young Marissa asked young Alex
“Yes,kidney problem, I was about to tell you,how did you know about it” Young Alex asked
“Your parent are looking for a donor” Young Marissa said
Mrs Knight enter the room
“Your doctor is here” Mrs Knight said
After the family doctor was done checking alex, young Marissa asked to see him
“Can I donate my kidney for him”she ask the doctor
“of course but we have to check whether your kidney are good”Mr Ben the doctor replied
“We also need to get your mother signature” The doctor said
“Ok,I will donate it on his birthday, that will be my gift for him” Marissa said
“Don’t tell aunt or uncle okay,I don’t want them to feel indebted to me” She said
“Ok,but don’t you think you should reconsider,your mother won’t agree to it”The doctor said,he didn’t expect such a kind gesture from a small girl
“Don’t worry,inform them that you have see a donor, I don’t want aunt to be worry” She said
“Ok”
♠ALEX BIRTHDAY VENUE♠
Marissa didn’t have the time to wish Alex a happy birthday,her mother travel for some stuff,whenever she travel she will have to stay at the Knight mansion
she uses her mother stamp on the form given to her,which means her mother knows nothing about it
Soon the time for the surgery came by,the surgery was successful, after Marissa open her eyes the first person she saw was her mother she knew that she was in trouble
“Mum” She said weakly
“Do you know what you did?,what if you die in the process,did you even think about me?,what if…” Marie was cut short by Marissa sudden hug
“Am sorry mom,I don’t want Alex should be in pain” She said showing pitiful faces
“Am coming,let me get you something to eat” Marie said working out of the room
After Marissa was sure that Marie was out of the hospital, she went out of the room rolling the metal where a drip was hung out of the room
She met Dr Ben on the way who help her remove the drip
She was about to enter Alex ward when she saw a man whose face was mask trying to sneak inside Alex ward
“You are?” She asked the man,but instead off the man to answer he ran off
Not minding her condition she began to run after the man
After a while she got lost,suddenly she heard a gunshot, she shivered
“What have I gotten myself into,I don’t want to die”She thought in fear of getting ki||ed
She peek out from where she was when she saw two women with the same face when she look closer she realise that the woman was Mrs Knight
“Am going out there to live your life” One of the woman said,she didn’t understand what the woman said
Her leg hit a stone which make a sound
“Who is there?”
On hearing this she took her heels,running as fast as she could, she suddenly slip falling down are head hit a big stone which make her to fall unconscious
That was the last thing she could remember,meanwhile Mrs Knight was still chasing after the intruder she was about to move forward when she saw her on the ground, moving closer she check whether she was still alive but when she didn’t feel her pulse she assume that she’s dead so she went back
“I should ki|| her in case she’s not yet dead” she thought she was about to $h00t when she heard someone voice
“I think someone is there”one of the men Marie sent to search for Marissa said
Mrs Knight quickly rush away because blood was on her cloth,she can’t afford to get caught
