It was late in the night Marissa could be seen laying on the bed with Alex who sat on the floor he place his head on the bed trying not to fall asleep but nature took place
Few minutes later, Marissa eye flew open but she close it back because of the rays of light coming from bulb
She open her eyes before sitting up, she glance at Alex whose head was place on the bed,she gently tap him on the shoulder
She needed to know how he have her childhood picture, and how he was also there, are they friends or what, different question was roaming in her mind
Alex raised his head and stare at her
“You’re awake” Alex said touching her forehead
“Am fine, thank you” she said looking round the room, her eyes caught the sight of the picture, her head began to hurt she quickly look away from the picture holding her head
“Are you sure you are okay” Alex asked worriedly when he saw her holding her head
“Am fine,but how did you have my childhood picture” Marissa asked
“Which picture are you talking about” Alex asked his heart was beating fast and loud, honestly after the day she said that she’s allergic to pineapple juice since then his heart has been confusing him that she was his wifey
But he didn’t want to admit it, because anybody could be allergic to pineapple juice
Ever since then he start to enjoy her company, and he also want to get close to her maybe he would find out whether she was his wifey, but now she’s asking about picture
He asked her the picture she was talking about because there are two framed pictures in the room
One was Thea picture and the other was the one he snap with his wifey
“That picture” Marissa said pointing at the picture of Alex and a girl who was smiling at each other
Alex froze when he saw Marissa point at the picture of him and his wifey
“Could she be the one?”
“Was that why his heart was beating for her”
“Was that the reason why he fell in love with her in a couples of month” Alex thought looking at !Marissa
Marissa who saw the look on his face sigh
“Can you please tell me how you get this picture, I mean I don’t know you” Marissa said
Alex felt hurt hearing her say that she didn’t know him, was she pretending, does that means she didn’t remember anything about him,the memory they share together, tears were beginning to circulate in his eyes
“You don’t know me” he asked, his voice was broken, hurt could be felt in the statement he made
“Yes, I don’t know you,are you someone I need to know” Marissa asked
Alex was so broken,he couldn’t even answer her question
“Am sorry I don’t know you,I lost my childhood memories” Marissa said after seeing his facial expression
“It’s fine, I understand” Alex said smiling sadly
“OK, but what are we in the past, I mean we look so happy here” Marissa asked pointing
“Actually we were childhood lovers, thou we were young but our love was something to write home about, we were so close that we couldn’t do without each other, when our parent couldn’t do the stress of bringing us from one house to the other they suggests us living together, you would stay at our mansion for a week the following week I would stay at your house but after that incident you left, leaving me alone, you left without saying a goodbye” Alex said tears were circulated in his eyes but he did his best making sure it didn’t fell on his cheek
