CHAPTER 5💔6
Fredrick watched Henry as he ate the food and he shook his head.
“You’ve always been a foodie.I can’t believe you ordered for food when we were clearly here for her”Fredrick said pointing to Monalisa and Henry tried to reply with his mouth still full.
“Finish what’s in your mouth before speaking”said Fredrick as he folded his arms in his chest.
“Shouldn’t you be thanking me?We would have been kicked out of here by now if we just stood by the counter staring at her face?”snapped Henry and Fredrick rolled his eyes.
“Eat slowly so we don’t have to leave here fast”said Fredrick and Henry glared at him.

“Ahhh I love the way he chews the food”
“He looks segzy trying to talk with his mouth full”
“I think am falling in love with him already”
Those were the words of Lilian as she stared dreamily at Henry.
“Focus on your work and make sure they pay before leaving instead of staring at a man who has made many money”Monalisa nagged and Lilian hissed.
“Must you always spoil the moment?”complained Lilian and Monalisa rolled her eyes.
“Do you know his name?”asked Lilian as she stared at Monalisa expectantly.
“Yes I think his name is Henry.They keep on doing unnecessary introductions”said Monalisa but Lilian was already in another world.
“Henry Weds Lilian.OMG,it sounds so good”screamed Lilian and all eyes fell on her.She looked away shyly while Monalisa shook her head at her.

Henry was done eating and it was time to leave.They got to the counter to pay and Fredrick searched his pockets but couldn’t find his credit card neither could he find it in the car.
“Are you trying to pretend you lost your credit card so as not to pay for the meal?”asked Monalisa and Fredrick bit his lips nervously.
“Come on,Henry.Help me out here”whispered Fredrick to Henry.
“I didn’t bring my credit card too.”Henry whispered back and they both turned to Monalisa smiling widely.
“I don’t think you are handsome so your smile aren’t working on me”Monalisa said to them with folded arms and their hopes shattered.
“Please,I don’t have my credit card neither do I have cash with me right now.I would have loved to make an online transfer but my phone is not also with me”Fredrick said.He knew he sounded so stupid at the moment but that was the truth.
He had left home in excitement to see her so he forgot to bring his phone and his credit card.
Henry stood in a corner leaving Fredrick to settle it while Lilian looked dreamily at Henry ignoring Monalisa.
“Do I look like a person who would wait till tomorrow for a meal you bought today?”asked Monalisa with a frown.
“It is not like I don’t want to pay.Ok tell me,how do you want me to pay for it?”asked Fredrick and Monalisa chuckled darkly.
“I don’t want any other thing but money from you!”yelled Monalisa and Fredrick held his head in frustration.
“And I have plenty of that but I am not with any presently”Fredrick yelled back and he held his head looking apologetically as he realized what he had done.
“Am sorry,I yelled at you but…”Fredrick was saying when Monalisa interrupted him sharply.
“I don’t need your apologies.We open by 7am in the morning and your money should be the first thing I come in contact with when I get to this shop”said Monalisa as she signalled to him to leave.
Fredrick stared at her for a while before leaving and Henry followed him.
Fredrick rested his head in the car as he sighed in frustration.He didn’t know what made her as rude and unfriendly like that but it was too early to give up.
“Don’t worry.Things will change as time goes on”said Henry and he nodded.
“Sleep well and wake up early.We have something more than appointment to attend to”Fredrick said to Henry as he went inside his house.

Monalisa packed everything up and closed the shop ignoring the grumbles from Lilian.Lilian wasn’t listening to the conversation between Monalisa and Fredrick but she went mad when she saw them suddenly leaving.
“I can’t believe you were so harsh on good-looking men just because if a few dollars”Lilian said and Monalisa turned to her with a raised eyebrows.
“It is a 1000dollars,Lily not just a few dollars”corrected Monalisa and Lilian scoffed.
“It is best to change this your obsession for money else you will chase away every good men and end up unmarried forever”said Lilian and Monalisa glared at her.
“I am not after marriage for now.I am after the money”said Monalisa and Lilian hissed walking ahead.
“It is a waste talking to you”said Lilian as she left Monalisa behind.
“It is not like what I did was bad”Monalisa said to herself trying to stop herself from feeling guilty.
