Lilian walked into the restaurant
“You are back early”Monalisa said as she sighted her and Lilian nodded as she slumped on the chair beside her
“What happened”asked Monalisa “And don’t even dare tell me nothing happened”added Monalisa and Lilian sighed as she narrated what happened at the club
“That bastard,why couldn’t you give me a call?Didn’t I tell you to give me a call whenever anything like that happened”Monalisa asked sternly and Lilian looked away
Monalisa had asked her to call her anytime she was being harassed but she couldn’t not after what happened the last time
She was being harassed by a man and she called Monalisa.It didn’t take Monalisa 30mins to get to the club and she created chaos in the club but the table turned when she was recognized as the long-lost singer whose segz tape was released.They called her a wh-_-re and many other names but she held it all in and pulled Lilian out of the club.Though Monalisa told Lilian not to blame herself,she still felt guilty
“Think of the good side of it,Henry showed up”said Lilian and Monalisa nodded in agreement
“You must be tired,go home and rest.I can handle things here”said Monalisa and Lilian sighed.Monalisa was starting to act like a protective mother again
“I will help you in the restaurant”said Lilian and Monalisa glared at her
“I won’t repeat myself Lilian or else you want to be dragged out of here after being spoon-fed by me”said Monalisa and Lilian stared at her pleadingly.It wasnt the first time,Monalisa was forcing her to eat and rest but she wasn’t ready for the drama at this time
“I want to talk to you,Mona”Lilian whispered but Monalisa heard her clearly and faced her solely placing her attention on Lilian.Lilian was her only comfort for the scandal that happened five years ago.She was on her way to commit suicide when she saw a young lady curled up in a corner shivering in cold.She felt sympathy on Lilian and even felt more sympathy when she found out that Lilian was an orphan
“Am all ears,Lily”said Monalisa and Lilian looked at her.Monalisa was always ready to listen to her anytime and she felt so indebted to her
“I think I am in love with Henry”Lilian said slowly as she stared at her fingers
“Really?What makes you think it is really love and not one of those little crushes you have on every handsome guy you meet?”Monalisa asked with a raised eyebrow and Lilian went silent
“I am not saying you her not in love with him but I think you should be sure before deciding”said Monalisa on a calm tone
“This is different,Monalisa.I feel like o belong to him,like I am attached to him and I am made for him.I think am his missing rib”Lilian said and Monalisa rolled her eyes
“If I knew you were this poetic then I might have made you write poems and we could sell them to make money”said Monalisa and Lilian glared at her
“It is not too late,is it?”asked Lilian with a little sarcasm
“Of course,it isn’t.You’ll start work tomorrow ASAP”said Monalisa
“Joke apart,what do you think,Mona?Can I tell him about it?”asked Lilian with a little bit of anxiety
“You know am not that experienced in relationships,Lilian.I have never been in a relationship before and the scandal also ruined my chance of being in one but follow your heart and if it is the right part then you will feel it calling you nearer”said Monalisa and Lilian smiled and hugged her tightly
Monalisa always had the right words she needed everytime
“So what about you and Fredrick?”asked Lilian as she pulled away from the hug and a wide smile displayed on Monalisa’s face
“Nothing much,he left a while ago before you came in”said Monalisa and Lilian scoffed
“That’s like him so you guys are dating”asked Lilian and Monalisa sighed
“Nope,we are just friends”said Monalisa and Lilian rolled her eyes in disbelieve
“Friends yet you guys kiss at every meeting?”asked Lilian and Monalisa blushed slightly
“It is just a friendly kiss and nothing more besides he hasn’t officially asked me out.”said Monalisa and Lilian nodded
“Friendly kiss,indeed.You better hurry before he gets snatched away”said Lilian and Monalisa glared at her
“No offence taken please”said Lilian as she stood up heading for the inner room
“So annoying”muttered Monalisa but Lilian heard her
“I heard you”yelled Lilian and Monalisa rolled her eyes
“I guess we should also sell your ears along with your poems.We will make a lot of money”yelled Monalisa and Lilian turned staring at Monalisa like she had grown two heads
“You must be crazy”said Lilian and Monalisa picked up a kitchen knife
“Of course I am.”yelled Monalisa as she ran after Lilian and Lilian took on her heels also
“Dear lord,save my ears from this money obsessed witch”yelled Lilian as she held her ears running fast
“Sorry but the Lord is busy right now so you are dead”Monalisa said
