Chapter seventy

Rose POV
I wanted to dozen off many times but I can’t allow myself to sleep, Alex is still not yet back, I check the time again it now 12:00pm
Where could he be, I use the house phone to call his line so many times,it was ringing but he wasn’t picking, am getting worried I could have call Richard but I don’t think is a good idea considering the circumstances
I went to make myself a coffee to help me be awake, my eye was heavy, my bed call for me but Alex comes first before Evey other thing I decided to ignore how tired and stressful to day was for me because all I could think about is Alex
I just hope he is fine,I was coming out of the kitchen when the door bell ring, the first thing that came to my mind was Alex
I quickly rush to the door and open it , I saw Mike supporting Alex with his shoulder to keep him straight, my heart immediately skip a beat
“Oh my God what’s wrong, is he okay, is he hurt” I ask all at once
” He is just drunk, don’t worry” Mike said
” Oh please come inside” I said stepping away from the door ,as he entered. I close the door
I went to Mike to help him carry Alex to the room, as I was about to put my hands around Alex, he immediately raise his head and stare at me with a very strange expression on his face
I saw some bruises on his face ” oh my God, what happened” I said as I want to touch his face
” Don’t touch ….me” he said pushing my hand away
I was so embarrass, Mike was also uncomfortable and pretend not to notice how Alex push me away
” Alex is me..,let me help” I said trying to touch him again what he did next really hurt me
” I said don’t touch me, Priscilla you wh-_-re” he shouted grabbing me on my neck and try to strangle me but Mike was able to save me from him, I quickly move back from him
I was so shock, who is Priscilla by the look of Mike expression he seems to know something and was aslo shock of what Alex nearly did to me
” Rose, just let me carry him to the room he is just drunk, and he is usually in his worst behavior whenever he is drunk” Mike said laughing a little trying to light the mood
” Rose…why are you calling this wh-_-re Rose she is not Rose ,she is Priscilla that cheating wh-_-re” Alex said hitting Mike on his chest
Why is he calling me Priscilla, does he not recognize me
” Who is Priscilla” I ask out of curiosity
” ignore him, as I said he is drunk” Mike quickly said
I was honesty trying to hold myself from crying, why is all this happening to me, am I really curse
” lead the way” Mike said smiling at me
” Okay” I said smiling at him a little

Alex wouldn’t allow me touch him, I just stood inside the room awkwardly as I watch Mike help him remove his cloth and place him on the bed, i feel useless and it hurt me so badly that Alex don’t want me touch and he even mistake me as the so called Priscilla
” Rose…” Alex wisper my name but I heard him
I walk a little closer to the bed and stare at him, I have never saw Alex drunk he look different when drunk
” Do you Mind getting me a milk to give him ” Mike said
” Sure” I said and went to get the milk
I came back with the milk and gave it to Mike and he made sure Alex drunk all of it
” Rose… Rose” I Alex kept on murmuring my name in his drunking state, but I couldn’t go close to him, am afraid that he will try to hurt me again, he is not in his right senses now, he might mistake me as the Priscilla again
And am really curious of who that Priscilla is
As Mike was getting up from the bed Alex quickly grab his hand ” what’s wrong” mike ask
” Rose is …… becoming Priscilla….she want to” he didn’t complete what he was saying as he fall asleep
” Thanks ” I said breaking the silence between Mike and I
“Anything for my pal”Mike said

I escorted him to the door” look Rose, I don’t know what happen between you guys that made Alex to become like this but I hope it will not happen again” he said as if he was blaming me for Alex condition
” Did he say that I Did any thing” I ask
” No, but.”
I didn’t allow him to finish wh@ťěver he was about to say, I will not allow him to blame me for something I don’t know of am tired of all this, for God sake am pregnant all this is not good for me ,I can’t have he standing here blaming
” Then why are saying this as if I was the one that Did something to him and who the hell is Priscilla” I said getting angry and emotional
” Am sorry if I made you angry, maybe I said it in the wrong way, is just that it has been long that I saw Alex like this” Mike said scratching his hair
” And I think is because of this Priscilla right” I ask
” Is not my story to tell, just talk to him when he wakes up and am sorry if I upset you, am just looking out for a friend” he said as he turn away from me open and close the door before I could ask him more questions
I stood there for a minute before returning back and head upstairs, I went and get a bowel of hot water and towel from the bathroom to clean Alex body
” I will try to be better for you and our baby but will have to talk things out” I wisper into Alex ear
