Episode 2

**Three weeks later**

Adam and Jocelyn got to a Chinese restaurant and sat at the VIP room. They were having a date.

Despite all the special treatment, Jocelyn was still looking so mad as she sat across the table from Adam.

“Come on. Forget about what happened few minutes ago and enjoy this moment with me. Look around….it’s so romantic.”

Jocelyn frowned at him. “When are you gonna understand that I don’t like you one bit?” She asked.

Adam smiled. “You are gonna like me after I show you how great a guy I am.” He replied, reaching out and touching her hand.

Jocelyn gathered all the patience in her not to hurl the water in front of her in his annoying face.

A waiter came by with a menu, bowed to them before presenting the menu.

“Take your eyes off her you moron.” Adam suddenly barked at the waiter who stared innocently at him.

“Excuse me sir?”

Adam jumped out of his seat and gave the young man a thundering slap.

“Adam!” Jocelyn gasped, finding it hard to believe he slapped the waiter.

“How dare you! Do you know who I am?” Adam raved at the waiter who was still covering his cheek with his hand, looking so shocked.

“Get me your manager! You must get fired today!” Adam raved on.

“Adam! Just stop it! Look around…you are embarrassing me!” Jocelyn groaned.

The few people in the VIP were already staring at them.

“I don’t care. All I care about right now is this guy getting fired!”

“Then if you won’t keep quiet…I’m out of here!” Jocelyn yelled and ran out of the room.
“Jocelyn!” Adam shouted and ran after her.

Angeline came into Jocelyn’s room, wondering why she ran into the house the way she did.
She saw her sitting on the bed, sobbing.

“Jocelyn? Did anything happened with Adam? I thought you guys went out on a date?”

Jocelyn stared up at her mom. “Was there ever a day when nothing happens with that jerk?”

“Oh come on, Jocelyn. Not again. Why can’t you just get to know this guy once and for all? You guys are getting married next month. Did he tell you?”

Jocelyn gasped, her eyes filled with horror. “What did you say, mom?”

“You heard me. Your marriage is taking place next month. You still have a whole lot of time to get to know him.” Angeline said and left the room.

Jocelyn shook her head, shivering. “No….mom….you can’t do this to me! No!” She cried.

She couldn’t imagine getting married to Adam and living with him for the rest of her life.
It was unimaginable!

Adam came into his room and found his phone ringing on the bed. He snatched it up and frowned once he saw the caller.
It was his mom and he knew exactly she was calling.

“Mom” He said gruffly.

“Adam! You finally picked up today, isn’t it?”

“Mom. What’s it this time around?”

“You dare to ask me that when you know exactly what I’m talking about? When are you gonna come over to see your son?”

“I got him a nanny, did I not? Let her take care of him. What else am I paying her for?”

“Why have you decided to keep this baby a secret, Adam?”

“Because he’s going to get in my way of getting married to Jocelyn. Don’t you get it?”

“Why don’t you marry Lucio? She’s the mother of your child…”

“I’m not getting married to a call girl, mom.”

“You knew she was a call girl and still got her pregnant.” His Mom taunted.

“I was drunk. Can we drop this discussion, please?”

“No we can’t!”

“Then I’m hanging up. Bye!”

“Adam….!!”

He hung up the call before his mother could complete her statement.

He sighed deeply and threw the phone back on the bed before sitting down to put off his shoes.

He was still mad about what happened at the Chinese restaurant.

He couldn’t believe Jocelyn left home there. All alone.

He had tried catching up with her but couldn’t. He had to go to his office to cool off before coming home.

“I don’t care what you think about me, Jocelyn. I’m mad about you and that’s all that matters. I’m gonna marry you whether you like it or not!”

**Two Months Later**
Jocelyn stared at the beautiful wedding gown on the coat stand in front of her.

Her friends were with her in her room, getting her ready for church with the makeup artist.

It was finally her wedding day. She was finally going to marry a girl she never liked!

“Cheer up, Joe…. It’s your wedding day.” Dianne mumbled, touching her cheeks.

Jocelyn stared at her friends and tears gushed out immediately. “I don’t wanna marry him.”

The makeup artist quickly wiped the tears so it wouldn’t cause a lot of damages to the makeup.

“You are ruining your makeup. Stop it already.” Paula sighed.

Jocelyn frowned deeply. She knew the idiot would be somewhere now, celebrating his victory. She shook her head, determined to cut short his happiness.

*I’m not gonna let this happen.* She said inside of her.

Since there was so much security that she couldn’t escape, Jocelyn decided to do something drastic.
She smiled and looked at her friends. “Can you please, excuse me for a while? I will like to have some moments to myself.” Jocelyn said with a fake smile.

“Alright dear. Call us wwhenyou are alright.” Dianne said.

“Tell Mom not to bother coming please.” Jocelyn said.

They hugged her and left with the makeup artist.

Jocelyn stared around, panting…. making sure no one else was in the room.

She pulled out the top chest in her drawer and brought out a container filled with pills.

Hurriedly, she stood up and ran into her washroom with the pills.

She stood in front of the large mirror, breathing heavily as she stared into it.

“Let me see if you are gonna get married to a corps you bastard!” She said through clenched teeth and emptied the countless pills into her palm.

She poured everything at once into her mouth and drank some water, shoving the whole thing down her throat.

Slowly, she returned back to her room. Before she could sit back down, the pills started taking effect.

She gasped, touching her stomach. The next minute, she screamed out loudly as the pain hit her lower region.

She rolled on the floor, dying. She was almost passing out when her mom and other people rushed into the room.
