Episode 11
Eddie got to the hospital half an hour later and walked straight to his office to get a file.
He was still ransacking his drawer when the door opened and Rihanna walked in, looking so sophisticated.
Eddie glanced up at her and sunk in his breath. She was almost naked. “Rihanna?”
Rihanna smiled, making her way towards him “Yes, Eddie. It’s me.”
Eddie stared on, transfixed. He stared at Rihanna’s legs up to her face and swallowed hard. He stood straight as she got in front of him.
“What are you doing here? It’s your day off.”
Rihanna smiled. “I know it’s my day off. I just came around to say hello to my patient friend before heading out then I saw you come in.”
Eddie nodded his head slowly. “Hmm.” He replied, reading meaning into her dressing. “Why are you dressed like this?” He asked.
Rihanna looked innocently at him. “What?”
“Come on. You know what I’m saying. Look at you.”
Rihanna stared down, checking herself out as though she was realising what she was wearing at that moment. “What!” She asked, blinking her eyes innocently.
Eddie sighed and sat down, looking at her. “Wh@ťěver you are scheming at will not work. Thought I told you I’m not ready yet.”
Rihanna shook her head sadly she sat down in front of him. “You are not ready to have anything to do with me but you are already with that girl Jocelyn. She doesn’t love you but I do.”
Eddie smiled. “How did you know she doesn’t love me?”
“Because I saw it that very first time she started flirting with you. Why can’t you see the truth in what I’m tell you?”
“I can’t see the truth because there’s nothing to see. I like you but as a friend. Nothing more and nothing less.”
“Even after I told you that I do love you very much?”
“I made everyone to be close to me because I never wanted anyone to feel bad or to see me as someone who sees himself as “too important to mingle”, but then, I’m still your boss and you won’t disrespect me in any way.” Eddie said and Rihanna sighed.
“I’m not disrespecting you Eddie. I’m not! I’m just showing you how much I love you. That’s all.”
“This discussion is over. Someone is waiting for me so I have to rush.” Eddie replied, getting up from the chair as he grabbed his car key.
Rihanna frowned and folded her arms. “Someone is waiting for you. I guess it’s her.”
“Maybe you are right. Close the door when you leave.” Eddie said and left the office.
Rihanna stared after him and smiled. Then she frowned back, moving around. “No Eddie. If you think that I’m going to give up just like that…then you are a joker.
“A big fat joker. I will take back what’s rightfully mine from the onset. I’ve been here all these while… dreaming about the day when you will become mine and now, this nuisance surfaces from nowhere to shatter my dream? No way. She’s going down and I will make sure of that.” Rihanna promised herself before angrily walking out of the office.

As Eddie drove back to Jocelyn’s house, he couldn’t stop thinking about Rihanna. She had been the most sweetest and caring nurse in his hospital and he’d come to like her, but just as a friend and nothing more.
He hoped this upcoming feud between them won’t turn her into a rebellion because he would definitely feel bad about it but what could he do?
He couldn’t do anything about it. He could’nt possibly force himself to love someone his heart didn’t accept.
Eddie shrugged as he continued driving. Few minutes later, he was driving up the driveway at Jocelyn’s house and he almost laughed when he saw her already waiting for him at the front lawn of the house.
“What took you so long?” She pouted immediately as he stepped out of the car.
Eddie chuckled, enjoying the way she looked cute while pouting. “You look cute.” Was all he said.
Jocelyn feigned to be angry. “What kept you so long?”
“Have I been gone for that long? You were daydreaming and anticipating…that was why it seemed long to you.” Eddie said and gathered her into his arms.
Jocelyn finally smiled, resting her head on his chest. “We are having our first picnic date at Couple’s garden. How about that?”
Eddie’s eyes brightened. “Oh wow. That’s nice. The sun is perfect.” He replied and they both walked to the car.
“Let me get our lunchboxes. I asked the maids to arrange them with the drinks.” Jocelyn said, waking back to the door.
Eddie stared after her, smiling. “That was thoughtful of you.” Jocelyn gave him a thumps up over her shoulder and he smiled again.

They got to the garden half an hour later and were amazed by the beautiful sight that greeted them.
The garden was looking so colourful with pretty roses. There was a beach too and refreshment booths.
Many couples littered around; some were working while some were in the water.
It was indeed beautiful.
“Wow. This place is a wow.” Eddie whispered as they went straight to the beach.

Adam was in his office attending to a client when his body guard, Mac walked in. He stood in front of the door and waited till his Master was done with the client.
Few minutes later, the client left the hospital and Mac walked closer to Adam.
“You have report, right?” He asked.
Mac nodded. “Right now, Jocelyn is out on a date with the doctor.” Mac went straight to the point and Adam’s eyes widened.
“What?” He asked quietly in anger. “What did you just say? Out on a date…… with who?”
“With the….”
“Stop!!” Adam screamed, spranging up on his feet.
Mac recoiled and moved back to avoid being punched.
Adam breathed angrily, moving about. “That b*stard! How dare him go out on a date with my bride! How dare him!” He yelled on, tightening his fists.
He turned sharply to look at Mac. “Get six of my men ready! It’s time I teach that baby doctor a lesson!” He ordered.
