I hurrily with the dinner because I know Vincent will soon be back from work. I was still cooking when the doorbell rang and I stopped for a while.
Who could that be?
I’m sure it can’t be Vincent or Ben, did anything happen to their car? I thought walking up to the door.
I opened up and I was surprised to see … Wait, what? Why is she here? Wait, is this her daughter? I look at the young lady beside her who wouldn’t stop smiling.
“Wow, so you still work here? ” That is the first thing she said with a smirk.

” Mrs Smith?” I called and She chuckled like it’s the next thing to do.

But she showed her true colors when dad died.
“Yeah Longest time but why are you here?” I frankly asked and She chuckled again.
“Chill, I mean no harm besides here, meet my beautiful daughter, Stella ” She said and a tiny feminine voice spoke up.
“Hi handsome” She said which causes me to only scoffed.
“Mrs Smith, I don’t want to have anything to do with you” I gritted but I heard her chuckled again.

“Come Stella let’s go, we will come another time, Bye” I heard her whisper before the shot of the door followed.
” Damnit” I cussed, squeezing the paper on my hand. I don’t even know what the paper is all about.
“Son, are you okay? ” Mama moved closer to me and I. Huffed
“That Ɓîtçh just ruined my day, Why did you let her in? ” I asked her and She sighed.
“I’m sorry, I tried not to allow them but you see, they forced themselves in” She answered and I breathed out.
I heard the sound of the door open again..
“Wait, I bumped into Mrs Smith now, why is she here? ” I heard Ben ask as he moved closer.
I moved slowly to the couch and took my seat.
“Can you check this out? ” I said, stretching out the paper which the Ɓîtçh placed in my hand.
“What is all this about? I wondered why… she.. Is… here? His voice trailed off slowly and I guessed something is up.
” Ben?what is it?” I asked but he didn’t respond, making my brows raise on their own.
“Ben? ” I called again and he cleared his throat.
“Sir.. Sir there ..there…is a problem” He mumbled and I Scoffed. Problem?
“What did that Ɓîtçh do? ” I asked.
“It’s a marriage contract” He replied and I scoffed like it’s a joke or something.
“marriage contract for who? ” I asked.
“You and Stella, her daughter” He answered and I chuckled. She must be trying to play a prank or something.
“She is out of her mind, why would I marry her daughter? Why will I even agree?” I chuckled again.
“But sir.. ” Ben spoke up again and I Sighed.
“What is it again? ” I asked and he cleared his throat.
“Mr Lennon is aware of it, He signed it” He said and like he dropped a bomb.

“Mom, did you think he would agree? It’s so obvious he didn’t like you” Stella asked worriedly and I scoffed.
“Come on daughter, he has no choice because his father is aware of everything, he wants you for him, you two have been betrothed since childhood” I told her and she smiled.
“There is nothing he can do, So put your mind at rest, You own him and you will become his wife” I assured her and she smiled.
“Thank you mom” She said and I smiled widely. Of course, he had no other choice but to marry my daughter.

“Hey handsome” He was facing the outside view of the bay while I walked into his office smiling. He didn’t turn as I walked closer until I touched him and he jerked.
I was also surprised with the way he jolted.
“Vincent? ” I called but he faked a smile. I could tell it was fake.
“Angel” He called, reaching out to me by holding my hand and I looked at him suspiciously.
“Hey, What’s wrong? ” I asked and he shook his head.
“Nothing okay, I’m fine” He said, I wasn’t convinced though.
“Vince, you were lost in thought when I entered” I reminded him and he chuckled softly.
“I’m fine okay, just thinking about something” He said and I breathed out
“Or is it Abigail again?” I asked with a raises brows, he chuckled with a shake of head. He kissed my hand and assured me with a smile.
“No, I’m fine okay, Don’t you worry, Little Annie? ” He asked.
“She is fine” I replied just then his phone rang and I helped him with it.
His expressions changed all of the sudden but I couldn’t hear what the person on the other side was saying.
