Mandy returned with a face mask and gave it to Jeremy who reluctantly collected it.
“Why must I wear this?” He asked, staring irritatingly at the face mask.
“Those people that tried ki||ing you are still searching for you, they know you are still alive please honey” She said.
Jeremy sighed and wore the face mask on his face, not like he wanted but he had no option.
“Let’s go” She said and took his hand.
He looked at where she held and stared for a while before following her.
Everything was just confusing to him. Why is he finding it hard to believe everything he was told since the time he woke up?
He shook his head and continued walking with her.
Mandy was smiling inwardly as she walked side by side with him.
Back then she used to crush on him on the TV but fast forward to today he is walking hand in hand with her.
“Why are you smiling?” He asked, noticing the visible smile on her face.
“I’m happy that you are alive, I thought I was going to lose you” She said.
He sighed and faced forward, they walked through the hallway of the hospital but people passing and seeing them only walked past them without recognizing Jeremy’s face since he was wearing a mask.
They stepped out of the hospital and the fresh wind blowing hit Jeremy on his skin and he smiled.
“That is my car” She said, pointing at a red car in the garage.
“You have a car?”.
“Yes I do, you bought the car for me on my birthday” She said and he started trying to remember when he bought a car for her but his head hurt and he stopped.
“I need to regain my memories” he muttered.
“I will help you darling” She said and they walked to the car, she opened the door for him and he got inside.
She opened the other side and entered.
She looked at him and smiled.
Jeremy returned the smile with awkwardness supporting it.
She ignited the car to life and drove out of the hospital.
JEREMY’S MANSION**
“Hey baby” Moanna rushed out of the kitchen and carried Xavier up.
Immediately he stopped crying as he saw her face.
He smiled cutely.
“I love you so much” She said and Xavier smiled like he understood what she said.
Joanna actually left some hours ago to attend to something very important.
Moanna’s phone started ringing on the couch, she bent and took her phone to answer the call.
“Mum” She said.
“Baby” Victoria said.
“Are you okay?” Victoria asked.
“Where are you?” Moanna asked, hearing some noise in the background.
“At a shop making purchases for my shop” Victoria said and Moanna groaned.
“How many times will I remind you to stop operating that coffee shop, I have enough money to establish a better..”.
“Donald opened that shop for me, I cherish it alot, I can’t abandon it, so chill” Victoria said.
“I tried to change her mind but I couldn’t” Adams’ voice said and Moanna smiled.
“You are with her?”.
“She forced me and her being beautiful I couldn’t resist” Adams said and Victoria blushed.
“Hey don’t oppress me!!” Moanna yelled.
“How’s my grandchild?”.
“He is fine” She replied.
“We are coming over after shopping”.
“I love you mum bye” Moanna said and hung up.
Immediately Selene call enter her phone and after talking with Selene, a call from Margaret came next.
“Baby allow me to cook okay” Moanna said and gently placed Xavier on his bed now.
“I’m coming” She smiled at him and he returned the smile.
Moanna went to the kitchen and it took upto one minute when Freddie entered the living room.
He smiled immediately when he saw Xavier on his bed. He walked there and bent to his level.
“Junior Jeremy” He called.
Xavier looked at his face for sometimes wondering who he was, before he started smiling.
“You were wondering who I was right?” He asked and carried him up.
Xavier touched his cheek with his little finger and that made Freddie laugh loudly.
Moanna who was watching from the kitchen door smiled and went back in.
MANDY’S HOUSE**
The car pulled in front of the house and halted.
Jeremy stared at the environment through the window.
“This is our house darling” She said.
“The house is nice” He said.
Jeremy opened the door and got down.
Mandy came out and closed the door back.
“Let’s go in” She said and began walking to the door, Jeremy followed as they entered the house together.
“Finally you are back home” She stated.
Jeremy started looking around the house, looking for one thing in particular.
“What are you looking for?” She noticed and questioned.
“Where are our wedding pictures?” He asked and she gasped silently.
The question came unexpectedly.
How can he be this smart?.
“Eemm.. our former house got burnt” She lied.
“Those people after me who are they and what did I do to them?” He asked.
“Sit down and I will tell you everything” She said, leading him to a couch.
They sat together and he looked at her waiting for her to start explaining.
“You once worked in a firm and you were the most hardworking, devoted and honest person in the firm. Everything started when you were promoted in the firm. We were in the house that fateful day when some guys entered and started trying to ki|| you but you ran away with me, they burnt our former house, everything was burnt down including your properties, documents and our wedding framed pictures, I used the little money I saved to bought this house when you were still in the hospital, it’s two months now since the accident” She said.
“Where did the accident take place?” he asked and she almost groaned.
She was beginning to get annoyed by his questions.
“On a bridge, you pushed me out of the car when another car was about to crash into your car”.
” I did that?”.
“Yes darling, you used to love me so much, I can’t wait for you to get your memories back, I missed you”.
“I’m sorry I can’t remember you or what we shared together” He said and she grinned but suddenly his head sparked and he groaned.
He started seeing a blur vision in his head and his head started to ache.
The word bridge started ringing in his head.
“Ahhh!!” He screamed and grabbed his head.
“Darling are you okay?” She asked, fearfully.
“My head hurts” He replied and she hugged him tightly.
“You will be fine, don’t force yourself to remember things” She said and patted him.
“Did I say anything that triggered his memories, oh!! bridge” She gasped mentally.
Jeremy became calm after a while and slowly snuggled himself out of her.
“Are you okay?”.
“I’m fine, I’m hungry” He said.
“I will cook you something to eat” She said and stood up, she turned towards the kitchen direction but suddenly stopped and faced him.
“Please don’t step out of the house without my consent, it’s dangerous” She said and he nodded.
She beamed and left.
