Rhett coughed, the place heated and blazing, it was burning his skin.
“Ocean!!!” Rhett called but no reply, he checked the flaming room, there was a place he hadn’t checked.
He covered firmly, the door had fallen and caught fire, his eyes caught Ocean inside.
He was about to enter but the flames increased. He felt his skin roasting, especially his back. He ran into there fast, he used his feet to push the rod near her away .
“Ouch!” He groaned.
He knelt beside her and shook her.
“Ocean” Rhett coughed but she wasn’t responding, he raised her slightly upwards and carried her in his arms.

Korea.
“Thank you for everything” Jeffery said and kissed her lips.
“It’s nothing” Vikita said, she actually paid for his mom’s chemotherapy, his mom was diagnosed with a brain tumour and he didn’t have the money, that’s why he accepted Eva’s offer to seduce Vikita..
“Seriously, it means a lot to me, more than you can imagine” Jeffery appreciated and crossed his hands around her waist…
“At least I could be of help to you, it’s nice to help people, they appreciate you, pray for you, love you, it’s a good thing, so you owe me nothing, Your mom’s life is more important” Vikita said smiling.
He bit his lower lip.
“Mmh.. Mmh” Nova coughed interrupting them.
“Thank you ma’am for what you did for me, I am really grateful” Nova thanked her.
“It’s nothing dear, like I told your brother, it’s a good thing to help people” Vikita smiled.
Nova gave a brother a suspicious stare that meant “You owe me an explanation”.

ALESSANDRO’S MANSION
“Where have you been?” Dan asked angrily, Vikita closed the door and walked to the dressing table, she placed her bag on top.
“I was at the boutique, I have been busy” Vikita faked a smile.
“You were so busy” Dan said, he walked to the door and stood in front, his reflection on the mirror.
“Do you think you can fool me Vikita?” Dan asked, Vikita maintained a straight face.
“I have no idea what you are talking about” Vikita said and he laughed strangely.
“You withdrew a sum of almost a million dollars from my account!!!” He yelled, she flinched and the sharp edges of the bracelet on her hand cut her as she pulled it out.
Vikita finally faced him.
“What did you use my money for?” Dan asked, clenching his fist, Vikita clutching her bag.
“I used it for charity” Vikita replied and he sinisterly chuckled.
“For charity” He said, unbolting his belt.
“Dan, please not today, I promise I used the money for charity, I beg you not to hit me” Vikita pleaded, she ran to the door but he pushed her back to the bed and held her down.
“You are going to say the truth and f-__-king tell me, what did you use my money for?” He yelled ragingly and lashed her with his belt,
“Dan, please!!” Vikita cried as the hot lashes hit her body.
“Dan!!!” Vikita cried loudly but he wasn’t stopping any time soon, Rosa and Roxana heard it from their room but didn’t have the guts to intervene.
The more she cried the more he beat her.

Philippines.
“She inhaled some smoke partially affecting her lungs but she’s fine, she’s connected to an oxygenated machine now, there were surprisingly no burns on her skin” She replied to Rhett’s question.
“You mean she is safe” Rhett asked and the blonde female doctor nodded.
“Yes she’s fine, she would be awake definitely by Tomorrow” She replied.
“Excuse me” She said and walked away.
Quincy’s arm was hurt by the fire but she’s fine.She walked to Rhett.
“Is she fine?” Quincy asked and he nodded in positive.
“Thank you for saving her” She said and he smiled.
“What could have caused the earthquake?” Rhett asked and she shrugged, her arm hurt the most.
“Ou” She groaned.
“Sorry” He sympathised.
“Thank you, I don’t know, this won’t be the first earthquake here in the Philippine area, this was a mild one, the next might be more severe and it’s becoming more dangerous to live here” Quincy said sadly.
“Many houses collapsed, I saw it on the television in the hospital reception, we are lucky to be alive” Quincy said and stared at him.
“Are you hurt in any way?” Quincy asked, she observed the red blister near his neck.
“I am fine,” Rhett replied.
She gave a loud sigh and went back to her seat.
Rhett closed his eyes in pain, his back must be burned by now, but it doesn’t matter.
Her safety mattered more.

Jeff’s house.
Jeff was eagerly waiting for her and there was a bang on the door, he rushed the door and opened it.
“Vikita” Jeffery muttered, she slumped into his arms crying bitterly, he closed the door.
He hugged her back and she yammed in pain, he took her inside and sat her down on the couch.
“What happened to you?”Jeffery asked, cupping her teary face.
” He beat me up,he whipped with his belt because I withdrew money from the account for your mom’s treatment but it’s my money and he has no right over it “Vikita whimpered.
” How did he find out? “Jeffery asked.
” He has a tab from the bank in all my bank accounts, the only bank accounts I have that he is unaware of, is the one in foreign countries and I can just withdraw from them like that “Vikita uttered while hiccuping in tears.
” Your husband is a monster,”Jeffery snarled and kissed her wet lips.
“Wait here, stop crying you will ruin your pretty face” He smiled and wiped her tears with the back of his palm.
He left her alone for a few seconds and came back with a first aid box.
“Where does it hurt?” He asked, she unzipped her grown and pulled down the long-sleeved gown she was wearing to her waist level.
The scars on her back and hand were so red.
“That man is a bastard!!” Jeffery cursed, he was stunned at the beatings.
“Thanks for answering my call and welcoming me into your house” Vikita said, he placed the wet cotton wool on her back and she Mõ@ɲed.
“How long has this been going on?” Jeffery asked, applying it slowly on her back.
“Since we got married” She replied and he paused his hand.
“How long have you been married?” Jeffery asked curiously.
“For 24 years now” Vikita replied with teary-eyed.
“You married him at the age of 17” He calculated and resumed treating her wounds.
“Yes, I got pregnant with Rhett mistakenly and we had to get married, it was not based on love, he never loved me to start with and I really don’t love him either” She said frankly.
