Tessa woke up due the strange voice she heard in the room.
She open her eyes slightly to see two men standing beside her bed talking and not wanting them to notice her awake, she quickly shut her eyes.
“What do we do about her, boss?” She heard a man with a quirky voice ask.
“We don’t have a choice but to wait for her to wake up”
“But she’s been asleep for hours now, Don’t you think we should get rid of her?” The man with the quirky voice suggested.
“She’s too beautiful to be done that to” on hearing that reply, Tessa tightened her fist in fear.
“Talking about beauty, she is beautiful” the man with the quirky voice said.
“Time is running out, go and meet the dealer while I handle this situation” the man who was refered to as boss spoke this time around.
Tessa knew the man left in the room was starring at her and when she felt his hand on her hair, she saw it as a chance and taking hold of it, she bit him hard.
His scream filled the room as her teeth bit hard into his skin. Letting him go, she got off the bed and picked up a iron steel which was on the table.
She was about to hit it on him when he quickly spoke.
“I didn’t kidnap you! I was the one who saved you”
“Do you expect me to believe that?” Tessa asked.
“Look around you. Does this place looks like a place an abductor will keep his hostage?”
Tessa stared around her and apart from the weird lamp holder, the room looked normal.
“I saved you last night” he added lightly clutching onto his hand.
A while later, Tessa sat watching the doctor wrap a bandage around his hand.
As soon as the doctor left, he introduced himself.
“Am Edward Jones. You can search for it to confirm if you want. Am not a bad person and while returning from work last night, I happen to notice those men putting you into the car and after reporting them to the cops, I brought you and your driver here since you were unconcious” he told her just as her driver was led into the room.
“Am sorry, if I had known that you were my saviour I wouldn’t have done that” she quickly apologise.
“It’s okay though I find the whole thing funny” Edward replied.
“Since you are up now, I better escort you home” he added as he stood up.
“Home! They would all be worried ” Tessa let out as she saw that it was half past eight in the morning.
A while later, Tessa sat in the car with him while her driver drove them.
“You still aren’t sure about me right?” Edward asked on noticing the looks Tessa kept giving him.
“It’s just that I…”
“Here, Type out my name” he said, handing her his phone.
She did as he said and the search result brought out everything about him.
Apart from being the Ceo of a real estate company, he’s one of the most wanted bachelor in D.C
“Now that you know who I am. Can you feel at ease?” He asked which got her smiling nervously.
“It’s not that am doubting you, I was just wondering why you chose to help me”
“I believe myself to be every girl’s prince charming and since you are a damsel in distress, I had to help” he replied and that got her laughing.
“Now that’s a genuine laughter” he bit out airily glad that he finally made her comfortable around him.
He didn’t know why but ever since he helped her last night, he hasn’t been able to stop himself from starring at her. He had thought her beautiful when she slept but she looks more beautiful whenever she laugh.
The car drove into a mansion and quickly Tessa got out of it.
“Tessa!” On hearing Connor’s call, she quickly ran into his open arms.
“Do you know how worried I was? Have been losing my mind thinking something bad happened to you” He muttered against her hair.
“I thought they were going to ki|| me” Tessa let out slowly and he tightened his hold on her.
Edward got out of the car only to see Tessa wrap up in another man’s arm.
All this while, he didn’t think her to be involved with any guy until now.
“Boss Connor must have been worried” the driver said beside him.
“Connor? Did you just say Connor?” Edward asked and the driver nodded in reply.
Starring at the man who was holding on to Tessa, he finally saw his face and it turns out to be Connor Hank.
“What a small world” Edward muttered before walking towards them.
“Before I forget, I would like to introduce you to Edward, he is the one who saved me last night” Tessa said to Connor whose stance change after hearing Edward’s name.
“Good to see you again,Connor” Edward greeted, a smile on his face but Connor never reciprocate the smile neither did he reciprocate the greeting.
“When did you return to D.C?” Connor asked.
“A month ago. Don’t tell me you’ve missed me?” Edward replied.
“Wait! Do you two know each other?” Tessa asked.
“We do. We went to the same highschool and also to the same college and if it hadn’t been for work, I would still be around ” Edward replied while Connor didn’t utter a word.
“Tessa my child” granny Susie called as she joined them, giving her a tight hug.
“Are you okay? We were all worried last night”
“Am fine and that’s all thanks to Edward here and he turns out to be Connor’s friend too” Tessa said.
“Is it the Edward I knew back then?” Granny Susie asked.
“Hello Granny” Edward greeted as he envelope her in a tight hug.
“It’s been so long my boy. Why didn’t you stay in touch ?” She asked.
“Business and other things” he explained.
“Thanks to you Connor’s wife is safe and…”
“Connor’s wife? ” He cut her off abruptly while starring at Tessa and Connor noticing the ring on their fingers for the first time.
“Tessa is my wife” Connor replied frowning at him.
“Let’s all go in to talk some more” Granny Susie said as she pulled Edward into the house and they all failed to notice the angry look that cross his face for a little while.

The loud blaring of the alarm woke Cynthia from her sleep.
She sat up stretching and yawning, mouth wide open when she finally realise that she isn’t alone.
“What are you doing here?” She asked on seeing Chris kneeling beside her bed.
“Watching you” he replied.
“That’s not funny and besides someone might…” His kiss prevented her from saying more.
“What are you doing? I haven’t brush ” she said as she push him away from her.
“Does it matter? I couldn’t sleep just thinking about the moment that I will see you today and after lying just to get to see my girlfriend, she pushes me away” Chris let out sadly.
“I didn’t mean to do that, I just…my breath smells bad and you might not like it”
“Shouldn’t you know by now that I love everything about you” he said which got her smiling.
“Even my bad breath?” She asked and that got him sitting on her bed.
“Even your bad breath” he replied and pulled her into his arms for another kiss.
They kissed for a while and when she manage to pull away, he let out a groan.
“Someone might come in” Cynthia replied as she wipe his lips.
“I still can’t believe that you are mine now” Chris let out with pride.
“Does it makes you that happy?” She asked while he gave a nod in reply.
“Have been hiding my feelings for three years now and…”
“Three years? Seriously, you’ve been in love with me for three years?” Cynthia asked and once again he nodded in reply.
“That’s so charming” she said giving him a kiss.
“For making me wait and in addition to the three years let’s go out on a date tonight” he suggested.
“A date? I can’t, I was hoping to get some rest and…what are you doing?” She asked when he lay on her bed.
“Since you will be staying indoor, I might as well join you” he replied.
“You can’t… Get up” she said pulling at his hand but he tug at her hand making her fall on his chest.
“Just a few minutes and I will leave” he said holding her tightly in his arms.
“But someone might…”
“Everyone is busy preparing for the field activity, so we are safe” he told her and that got her snuggling close to him.
“Do you know that you smell good?” Cynthia asked.
“And you feel nice” he replied as they both laugh out.

“He’s cute” Melody muttered as she stood behind the door starring at Edward who was talking to granny Susie and the others.
“I will feel bad if I don’t take a picture” she said as she pulled out her phone to take his picture.
“Not everyone would like you taking pictures of them” Nicole said startling her.
“You scared me!”
“That’s because you were doing something bad ”
“Taking picture of someone I find to be handsome isn’t doing something bad” she returned fiercely.
“It is and am sure that Edward wouldn’t like it and didn’t you say that am handsome”
“You are but your bad temper…why does it sound like you are jealous?” Melody suddenly asked.
“Me jealous? Never!” He blurted.
“A quick denial means you are lying. Do you want me to take your picture? Stay still” she said as she move towards him.
“I don’t feel like it, do not take my…” The click of the camera got him letting out a frustrated sigh.
“It came out well but you look a bit weird” she said showing him the picture where he had his mouth open.
“Funny right?” She said bursting out in laughter and also finding it funny, Nicole couldn’t help but to smile.
“You smiled! It’s the first time am seeing it. Wow, you look very handsome” she said starring at him with a dreamy look in her eyes.
“I didn’t , you got it Wrong ” he said quickly.
“There’s no use denying it and just so you know…you melted my heart with your smile, I don’t think am ever going to let you go” she said.
“Why do you say the most weirdest thing?” He asked.
“It’s not weird. Am only saying my mind, I told you from the start that am interested in you and I made it clear the other day that I will make you mine and now, am letting you know that I won’t be able to let go of you. That’s how much you’ve earned my love, am crazy about you Nicole” she confessed and he couldn’t hold back the blush that appeared on his cheek.
“I intend to frame this picture since it’s our first picture together, see you!” She said before walking off leaving Nicole feeling hot.
“This is crazy! I can’t possibly be attracted to her right?” He whispered to himself.

“Well it’s time for me to take my leave. As much as I would love to keep chatting with you, have got to leave” Edward informed as he stood up.
“That’s a shame. I hope you can visit us sometime soon. Connor escort your friend while I go check on Tessa” Granny Susie said as she went upstairs.
“Nice wife you’ve got there” Edward began as soon as they were alone.
“How exactly did you find Tessa cause I doubt that you are innocent in all this”
“So are you saying that I kidnapped her?” Edward asked.
“You are capable of that and many more” Connor stated.
“Relax dude. I know I vowed to make you pay but I wouldn’t touch a hair on Tessa’s head, she’s too precious for that” Edward said.
“Now don’t you dare lay eyes on Tessa! She’s my woman, get that clear in your head”
“She might be your woman for now but I doubt if she would be for a very long time”
“Is that a thr_@t?” Connor asked.
“Just a warning. I think she’s too good for you, am sure you haven’t told her about your past? If she knows, she will definitely think the same way I do that you are nothing but a d@mn murderer ” Edward said making Connor remember his past, a past he would rather forget.
“You’ve had enough fun for today. It’s best you leave” Connor said trying to restrain himself.
“I will, for now but expect to see more of me since I will be around for a long time” He said as he left the room.

Dressed in an expensive chanel dress, Blair walked into the restaurant heading straight to a table which had a man seated there.
“I can’t believe it’s really you, Edward” she said as he stood up to give her a kiss on the cheek.
“It’s been years since you left Washington, what brings you back?” Blair asked as she sip the wine he poured for her.
“Some urgent business ” he replied as he went through the menu after giving their order to the waiter, she asked.
“So why did you ask to see me?”
“Can’t a friend want to see his friend?” Edward asked in return.
“That would have made sense if we were friends but we aren’t since you only stuck to Connor back then and besides you h@ťě me now. After what Connor did back then you must…”
“You are right! I didn’t call you here to rekindle the little friendship we had ” he said cutting her off.
“Then why did you call me?”
“There’s something I wish to have and I want you to help me get it ” Edward said…..
