Jeffrey laid on his bed as tears left his eyes. He had explained everything to his mom yet the pain wouldn’t subside
” I need to see her. I can’t take it anymore.. he cleaned his tears and got down from his bed. He wore his slippers and walked out of his room
” Going somewhere?” His mom asked from behind
” I want to go see Violet ” he replied trying hard not to tear up and his mom sigh
” Love indeed is crazy ” she sighed again
” But mom, is it possible? I mean we’ve been together for 17 years yet she doesn’t feel anything for me? How’s that possible?” He asked and his mom pulled him into a hug
” You see son, not all friends turn to lovers… It happened to me too” his mom said while he looked up at her
” What do you mean?”
” What I’m saying is, I had a crush on my best friend too but the feelings weren’t mutual. He ended up with my friend Cindy. Your dad was in our class too but I never for once noticed him… I never knew him but I’m happy I was able to let go of my feelings for Max and choose Stephen, your dad. He was the best boyfriend I ever had then and now my husband and a father to the both of us ”
” Who is Max?” Jeffrey asked
” My best friend who I had a crush on but ended up with Cindy my friend”
” Where’s this Max? Didn’t you feel bad? ” Jeffrey asked
” I did at first.. I cried myself to sleep but then, what could I do? I just had to let go and that was when your dad came into the picture. So…. you shouldn’t be acting like a loser” His mom pulled his cheek slightly
Jeffrey smiled and stood up
” I still want to see her.. ” he said and walk out of the house. His mom shook her head before heading to her bedroom

Violet and Ryan were engrossed in their books as they studied. It wasn’t boring for Violet as she kept cracking up jokes, Ryan who isn’t used to laughing just smile slightly watching her do all the laughing
Jeffrey opened the door gently and peeped in. He saw Violet smiling widely at Ryan while Ryan just kept staring at her
He sighed and close the door back.
” I Wish you success ” he muttered before leaving her place without getting noticed

Ryan glanced at his wrist watch and discovered it was 9pm already
” I will be on my way now ” he stood up
” Alright, I’ll see you off “Violet stood up too and they both walked out of the house till they got to his car
” Thanks for today ” he smiled and her heart skip beats.
His dimple and cute smile are just something one could easily die for
She was still lost in thoughts when she felt his hands around her waist.
He had pulled her into a hug
” Good luck on the competition tomorrow” He said, releasing her after a while
” Yeah, you too ” Violet replied confusedly and he chuckled silently at her attitude before entering his car
” Bye.. ” she waved at his car till it was no more

” You’re home..” Brown said as soon as Ryan alighted from his car.
” Hmm..” he hummed a reply
” Wait, it’s been a while he replied me that way, is he perhaps angry? Did someone offend him?” Brown wondered
Ryan made to enter the house but stopped and faced Brown again without a word.
” They aren’t back yet, I think they’re gonna be spending the night at the office..” Brown said and with that, Ryan walked into the house
” Welcome young master. Dinner is served..” a maid said.
Ryan stared at her then at the dining table full of different types of dishes. He immediately remembered Violet’s dish and a small smile escaped his lips while the maids panicked
” Are we getting fired?” One of the maid whispered to her colleague
” Who knows, I’ve never seen him smiled before, gosh I’m scared”
Without uttering a word to the maids, he left for his room
” What a stressful day..” he said, entering his bathroom and Immediately he entered, a splitting headache too over his head
He groaned painfully, reaching for the shower and turning it on. He went under it and his nose started bleeding profusely too
” f_ck, I thought this had stopped!! ” He wondered staring at the blood pouring on the tiled floor

NEXT MORNING, EVERGREEN COLLEGE
Fargo drove into the school premises and the whole school became noisy as they alighted the car

The Students murmured as the boys made their way in.
Ryan’s car drove in almost immediately and the screams almost brought down the roof even when he hasn’t alighted from the car

Mara walked up to him smiling broadly
” Hey.. she smiled
” I believe you didn’t come here to show me how ugly your smile is?” He asked calmly before walking out on her
He got to class and the first person his eyes made contact with was Violet
? Is he seriously staring at her right now?

Jeffrey tried his best not to get angry while Remy just giggled
A teacher walked in immediately and the class became quiet
” The two participants should come to the director’s office immediately” the lecturer said and left
” Good luck..” Yixuan hugged Violet
” Thank you ” she smiled, walking out of the class with Ryan
” Don’t they look good together?” Claire asked Mara. They were on their to class when they sighted Violet and Ryan from a distance
” Shut it Claire, it’s another morning, don’t start please” Mara rolled her eyes
” Okay, I won’t argue. I don’t have the strength for it today” Claire said

The whole class kept staring at the school blog waiting to know about the results
Mr George had called them earlier that the exams were over and they were waiting for the results so everyone was anxious to know the results
” You think they will win?” Yixuan asked Jeffrey
” I don’t know, we only know them to be the most intelligent in evergreen college… Maybe they’re other people more intelligent than them..” Jeffrey replied
” Tch, You’re not even helping matters. I thought you were gonna give me words of encouragement” she scoffed and he chuckled
A notification immediately popped up in everyone’s phone and in excitement, they all login to the blog
” WE ARE ON OUR WAY BACK ”
It was a post from Mr George and most of the students scoffed
? I bet they came out second or third that’s why the bald head can’t say anything.
” Do you think they failed?” Justin asked Remy
” Who cares?” He asked back and his phone blared up loudly
It was another notification
” I’m going deaf… Wtf is wrong with the bald head” Reece shouted.
” WTF!!!” Yixuan suddenly shouted
” What was that for? You wanna make me deaf?” Remy banged his hands on desk angrily and the students flinch while Mara rolled her eyes.
” I wonder how those too ended up being brothers.. ” Mara scoffed
” I was just happy they took first place in the competition..” Yixuan said sadly
” Really?” Fargo asked while she nodded. Immediately everyone login to check for themselves.
” We need to hold a party for this tommorow..” Justin said
” I know right, It would be so much fun.. Remy Smirked, mischievously
