Remy kept tossing from one end of his bed to the other. He wasn’t feeling sleepy and he kept wondering why.
” f_ck ” he groaned and sat up
He left his bed and walked to the sitting room. He switched on the light and proceeded to their mini wine bar
He got a bottle of Rum and walked back to the sitting room only to meet his friends seated
” Hey.. they waved at him
“What are you guys doing here? I thought y’all were asleep?” He said sitting next to Reece
“I couldn’t sleep” Reece said
” Me either ” the others said at once
” Let’s get wasted then… Remy said, raising up the bottle of Rum
” Great idea man” The rest agreed

Violet sat on her bed wondering what she could do now that she was in college
” You need to work hard and keep impressing grandma the way you’ve been doing.. her subconscious mind told her
She took her books and began to read. She stopped reading when she recalled Kira’s words earlier
” Yeah, it’s possible he likes me cause I like him too, he loves me and I do too. There’s no big deal in that since it’s normal between friends right? ” She assured herself before opening her books
“I wouldn’t be friends with him if I h@ťěd him right? Of course not.. She said again, giving all her attention to her book
She was determined to spend the night reading

” The door is open ” Ryan said and his dad walked in
“You’re reading.. Xue nodded satisfactorily when he saw his books and laptop opened
All this while, Ryan’s gaze was on his laptop
” I just came to inform you you’ll going to the company with me tomorrow” Xue said and he looked up at him
“Tomorrow?”
“Yes”
” Hope it won’t take long?” He asked again
“Sure.. just wanna introduce you to some of the shareholders, they wanna see you” Xue explained
“Alright…” He replied
” You’re kinda behaving like your old self…. I like that” Xue said and wanted to walk out of his room but stopped
” Have you eaten?” He asked while Ryan stared at him, surprised.
It’s been years since he last had a decent meal with his family
He missed those times when he had a complete family. When his dad was still the best dad he ever had. When he didn’t have to lock himself up in his room, sulking
When he could smile freely without feeling guilty
” How did things turn this way? ‘ he wondered
” I have ” He replied and faced his laptop while his dad walked out of his room. He stood up immediately and went to lock his door..
He sat back Infront of his laptop and resumed what he was doing

༆ NEXT MORNING
Violet walked out of the bathroom with a towel tied around her waist
The previous day was a hectic one for her yet she loved it since she wasn’t the type of girl to complain after work. She was used to it
She picked up a white strapless gown from the bag and looked at it.
” You’re short but pretty, let’s go with you today” She smiled and began to dress. She was done and Left her room. She wasn’t a fan of hair styling so she just let her long hair fall freely on her shoulder down to her back
” You’re ready? Come eat breakfast” Grandma Pamela pointed at a seat next to hers
” Good morning grandma” she greeted walking to meet her at the dining.
” Come here, eat something” Granny Pamela made her sit before dishing out her food
” Thanks grandma ” She smiled broadly.

” Greetings young master ” The maid greeted as Ryan walked pass them fully dressed for school.
” I’m not eating” He said before the head maid could say anything. He walked out and met Brown waiting for him already
” We’ll be heading to the company first” he said and got into the driver’s seat
” Young master?” Brown called with a frown
“Don’t worry, I don’t want your hardwork to go to waste so I’m gonna drive… Ryan said and ignited the engine
” I will do well ” he assured while Brown sluggishly found his way to the car

” I told you I could do this… Ryan said Ç0çƙily as they got to the company
He alighted the car and stared at the huge building Infront of him
He released a sigh before turning to Brown
” Let’s go in ” he said and started walking into the building
? The chairman son is here
? It’s been years I last saw him. Gosh, he is still very cute.
The Employees murmured as he made his ways to the chairman’s office. He knock on the door before entering. He met his dad operating the desktop Infront of him
” Good morning” He greeted with a bow
“You’re here” Xue looked up at him
” Have you seen your mom?” He asked
” I have just few minutes to spend here” Ryan replied, ignoring his dad
“Let’s go then” his dad led him out of the office to the conference room where they held board meetings.
The shareholders were already seated though minister Zhang wasn’t present. He called and said he was leaving China for something urgent.
Xue sat on his seat before Beckoning Ryan to introduce himself
” zǎoshang hǎo ( Good morning ) he greeted with a bow
” nǐ jiào shénme míngzì? ( What’s your name )” One of the shareholders asked
” wǒ jiào Lǐ ān Li ( my name is Ryan Li )
” Wow, you have a great son chairman Li ” The shareholders complimented while he ( Li Xue ) smiled
” Yeah, I’m so proud of him ” Xue said, smiling at Ryan which he didn’t return
” You’ll be taking over after the chairman retires, correct? ” Mr Ning asked
Ryan looked at his father and he ( his dad ) nodded at him
